[REQUEST] Xperia S Nandroid Backup Files - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi, I have come to know that Xperia S uses ext4 filesystem for ROM partitions as it has an eMMC rather than and MTD. I just wanted to request for a nandroid backup file (at least cache partition) of Xperia S. This is for a tool which I am developing. Could someone please provide one? Or atleast shed some light on what the format of nandroid backup of ext4 is?
Also, can someone confirm if Xperia U and P has the same filesystem?

Xperia X8 System Dump (2.1.1.C.0.0)

Hi, This is the latest(2.1.1.C.0.0) Xperia X8 Stock ROM available now. You can use any of the system files incase you accidentally deleted a system app from Stock ROM or want to do something with any of these files.
Also note that this zip file can be flashed in recovery, so you can go back to the latest stock ROM which is already rooted and recovery installed. Make sure to wipe data/factory reset before and after flashing. Also make sure to wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache before flashing the zip.
Note: The first boot will take around 2-5mins. please be patient.
So here I leave you with the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?7jwfiqs8jj1jb7s

Enter CWM, select "Backup and restore", then "Backup". The backup will be saved on the SD, in \clockworkmod\backup\bla_bla_bla.
Whenever you want your ROM back, just enter CWM and select "Backup and restore", then "Restore. Select "bla_bla_bla" and you'll have your ROM.
EDIT
Oh, so you want to port your ROM to a new phone! Well, you didn't say that
I think you can, as long as it's the same model... but wait for someone else to confirm that

Never happened to me. But the procedure is just the right one, so you'll have to wait for someone else's help.
Hm. You could make a nandroid, then extract that nandroid with yaffey (search xda).
Then you could port it and pack it.

Is not an "error", just skips the backup of sd-ext partition because you dont have one.

This is the process. Just share the bla_bla_bla folder. If it fails, you can't.

i have backed up my rom but it is too big!! [580mb] even if i upload then no one gone download it for sure!!
Well... you know, this is how it works.
Anyway, if you want, you can use 7zip or winrar to compress it and also split it in multiple files.

[Q] Applying swap2cache on my XMP / PA cm-10

hi.
i wanna ask regarding swap2cache.
all of u already know /cache partition on XMP is almost empty (not use).
i want to install swap2cache script on my XMP, but my /cache already used for some dex files (see pictures).
what is that things?
is it safe to delete them?
thank you......
Hmmm...those were dex files from your system apps that fill up the cache....
not quite sure how to remove it unless you can link it to your SD card but as far as i know it, if you delete it, the dex will automatically re-created by system after reboot....

Hello again,
Firstly look into general / development section for ftfs! Make sure you pick up a generic version according to your phone model!
Secondly , use the guide mentioned by a user above to flash ftf file.
Only backup user apps in titanium back !
Go to titanium ,then options , then clear dalvik! See if that helps!
Also remove thumbnails folder in DCIM from your phone using a file explorer.
You can also use SD maid from Google play store to clear cache / unnecessary files by corpsefinder and systemcleaner in SD maid menu. This will automatically remove thumbnails cache!
Good luck

Either be fine !
Sus will do it officially with latest firmware of your region only while flashtool with give you more control over which ftf to flash/version/components !
My signature means, if you want a guide that's not available or think it could be rewritten, pm me!m in case of a query, just mention/quote me!

@Hnk1 Problem solved.. Repaired using SUS.
I prefered SONY official ROM over the custom ROM because i think Official ROM is more stable than any other custom ROMS. Thanks again for giving me confidence. I am newbie.
