[Q] How to invoke (stock Samsung) App Switcher from Widget/Button? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there!
I have the Samsung SGS3 running on ICS and I am looking for a possibility to invoke the stock TW app switcher (the one that appears when you keep the home button pressed) via a homescreen widget/button/whatever.
One of the other launchers I've tried (was it Go launcher or Apex?) had such a button at the homescreen: When pressed, the action launched the app switcher.
Does anyone know any solution for that?

No one?
Are you all pressing the Home button to switch between apps?

[Q] Android task switcher

Hey guys,
Has anyone been successful in finding a decent task switcher to use with CM7 and the touchpad since the home button and search buttons are emulated? I've tried using itching thumb and some others, but most don't seem to work, especially the long-press search button option in most of 'em.
home button is not emulated. just hold the touchpads home button down for a bit and a multitasking pane where you can switch between background apps will pop up.
Try Task Changer: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/8489-new-version-of-task-changer-now-with-back-option/
It's on the Market. You can just hold down the hardware home key though.
Wave launcher works great

[REQUEST] [MOD] Running apps from status bar/long pressing left soft button

Hi there!
I would like to know if it exists a mod that give us the status bar functionality like the HTC one, where you can see running application bringing down the status bar instead pushing home button...or just a mod to have a function (other than the ones already there you can switch on/off like in the OMEGA rom) that active the home button for running apps.
Could be also nice to mod the left soft button (long press it) to bring that function too.
I use very often the hardware home to switch between running apps and I think that it could wear down with time.
Best regards!

[Q] Repurposing Home Button to show Notification Menu?

Dear Androidsters
I'm very much enjoying my Samsung Galaxy Note (running stock Android 4.1.2, rooted), and it's waaay better than all my previous 11 palmtop computers put together.
I have four apps which effectively make my Notification Menu into my app launching mechanism [1], since I find this to be quicker and more efficient than the default Home Screens paradigm. I have explored using various app-launching Home Screen replacement apps (such as GO Launcher EX, 3D Home, etc., &c., all of which stick to using the Home Screens paradigm), but I much prefer to use the Notification Menu to launch apps.
Android is justly famous for its 'Customise Everything!' abilities, but search as I may, I cannot find a way of customising a single press on the Home Button. The final finesse would be that, in any and every situation (including when apps are running full screen, where the Notification Bar method of accessing the Notification Menu is absent), a single press on the Home Button shows the Notification Menu instead of the Home Screen (or whichever replacement app-launching Home Screens app it currently launches).
So does anybody know of a customising utility app which will allow me to remap a single press on the Home Button to show the Notification Menu?
Thanks in advance for your help.
[1] Four apps which effectively make my Notification Menu into my app launching mechanism:
Simple Shortcut Panel, Launch From Notification, Settings Extended, and Notification Toggle
There is a way but I know little about button mapping, ask some app developers, they'll probably know.

[Q] Any way to remap the physical home button to the recent apps menu?

I've got a galaxy s3 running AOKP 4.2.2, and I want to make the home button open recent apps with a single click instead of having to long press or hit it to go to the home screen, then hit it again for recent apps. I've tried editing gpio_keys.kl with APP_SWITCH, but that just gives me the old pre ICS style switcher.
