CM6 has bluetooth HID support. Since Wes is going to be working on the Vibrant, it may not be that far off. Here's a vid of it running on an EVO.

hehe yeah that would be awesome, I just connected my ps3 controller to my pc through bluetooth so I would be great using it on my phone .
The installation is pretty straightforward. Download the apk and install it to your droid.
According to the instructions provided by thunderbird2k you need to
1. Create a directory quake3 in the root of your sdcard and also create a baseq3 directory inside it.
2. Copy pak0.pk3 of your Quake3 CD (or from the demo) to the quake3/baseq3 directory.
3. Copy pak1-pak8.pk3 to quake3/baseq3

From here:
Controls:
The game is controlled using the keyboard, touch screen and trackball (if available). The most important controls are:
Movement: a/s/w/d, up/down arrows
Look: touch screen, trackball and left/right arrows
Shooting: Alt / D-pad center / tap on screen / trackball
Tilde (quake3 console): search button
Escape: back button
Not sure if virtual keyboard works to type though.
i appreciate your help. I actually do know it's tilde, I just don't know how to get the console to come up lol. I've been a hardcore Quake fans since Quake 1. I remember playing Quake 3 back in the dorms when it first came out.. .ahh how far tech has taken us.

Do you guys know if the monkey island that was made for iphone is ported to android? Or any similar great adventure games.. Scummvm is an option of course but are there any standalone games of that kind?
I think there is not a monkey island as a standalone out yet ... but scummvm works superb on my gt... so no problem here.

Concept: Gamecube emulation via RDP to Xperia Play
I know this may have already been conceived but I wanted to conceptually show the idea. If not then I would like to get some feedback on the idea. This video will show Dolphin latest emu running on a host PC and displayed via RDP. The RDP client supports the d-pad in dolphin but the other buttons do not work. If a developer could add Xperia PLAY hardware button support, Wii will be in business on the Xperia PLAY.
• Run Dolphin or JPCSP on a host pc that is capable.
• Connect to host PC via WIFI on a wireless N network.
I have tried this with various remote desktop apps on the market. I have found that the best and fastest so far is Remote Desktop ver 2.10.X (or whatever the last is). The results of this test I have found to be heavily reliant upon the RDP app. I am not an android dev, Just throwing the possibility out there. Quite honestly I just want to get some GC and PSP love on the Xperia PLAY. I am aware of the devices limitations, I am just thinking out the box. What do you think?
Specs:
Host PC
AMD Athlon II x64 3.10ghz
Nvidia 8800GT video
1 GB ram
Client
Xperia PLAY 800x (rooted)
Stock 2.3.2 AOSP rom
1ghz Stock clock speed.

Whats the point? If i was going to go to the trouble of that i'd rather play GC games on my 18" monitor. It would be ammusing for 5 mins while i showed my friends.
Still it's a nice idea and it would be fun to see it developed

I was wondering about the possiblity of using those emu's by allowing another box to do the heavy lifting. Maybe it's a dumb and pointless idea.

I felt the same way until I ran this particular RDP client that was fast enough to give the results on the video. So I wonder is it possible to get 30fps on the device with support for the buttons and...dare I say it analogs. I mean a stripped down purpose built RDP optimized for the XPlay.

Maybe just a button remapper as a separate app could do the job and then you are free to use any RDP you like

Absolutely. I think that's exactly what I looking for. I checked out OnLive. That's amazing and look forward to playing on the PLAY once an app is released.
I was more or less looking to play the classics that I already have. I trolled around a saw something about hardware mapping the analogs.

Is it just me or does the market not show it if you have a Dell Streak? I'm on Gingerstreak 2.4.4 (fresh today!) and it still doesn't show up. In fact it doesn't seem to be available for any of the three phones on Android 2.3 we have here...
I did install the apk (see link in previous post) so it does install ok, although the marketplace is not available so no actual game playing for me yet... Can't wait tho!

As lordmorphous said, it's got to be a good connection, preferably WiFi to not have lag or bad graphics. I can only play in one room in my house where the signal is best!!

Sup ppls,
Remember when the Flyer/View was supposed to have a cool online gaming service, and all we got was an app to view it... Well till 2days ago that's all we had a boring app to view a gaming site, now we have been blessed with the actual gaming app from Onlive... about time.
If your looking for more gaming then this is the app to peep out, with more than hundreds of known game titles from Xbox, PS, and Nintendo games plus more for than a hand full to endulge in. The app is free, several free games, free trials (30mins) and purchasing games from 1$ up 59$.. when you purchase a game you'll be able to play it on compatible smartphones, your pc/mac, and tablets via WiFi or internet access.
I played a game or 2, great graphics clear and functionality was smooth.. it does stream nicely over WiFi and not bad over 3G (Sprint View). So go get the app for free in the market, link below with screenshots. You can also invite friends to have multiplayer abilities, so sign up "Game On"
Sign up or login
Dashboard
Gaming Menu
Tried to do some game screenshots but did not work, if u so post em and share games worth playing, purchasing and please keep it clean..
Well what are you waiting for... Game On! Bluetooth controllers available on their site, syncing with our tabs unkown at the moment.

Sweet, just played a free trial of Dirt 3 and a full version of Lego Batman that came as a free bonus for signing up. This sure beats Angry Birds.
As an aside, World of Goo just came out as a native Android app in the Market. I played it for awhile when it was released on Steam for PC. It's a good game, and has been ported now for touchscreen play on Android.
