How can you use the camera during a call? The restriction serves absolutely no purpose.
A mod will be made in due time.

Is this typical on all of the roms? I was on a call and went to send my wife a picture of what I was looking at in messaging and got a popup saying can't open camera during call. Never really noticed it before but was wondering if it was the stock camera app or the phone. I'm on Saurom VI with Att fix.

Yes this is normal. Every android phone I have had works this way
Yes mine does the same thing.

stock camera does that but some of the cam aps from the market work just fine during a call

Cool, thanks to know. Seems kind of silly that I can't take a picture while I'm on the phone. I don't think the camera makes the earpiece work......lol

Not all of them work this way. The GSII did not and neither did the GSII SR. At least on the official ROMs I played with the camera worked during a call. I have not tried that on the Note.
What would be the logic of disabling the camera while on a call.?

That's what I thought. It's not like it needs the phone radio to open.

Its more about the resources that the phone uses while on a call and the camera. The are both huge ram hogs. And we know what happens when the system gets taxed too much.
Is there a mod to disable the absolutely pointless restriction that prevents you from from using the camera during a call?

I was curious if an application has been made that mimics galaxy 3 functions? Specifically, the front camera smart turn off function instead of a timer

Galaxy 3 is an old budget phone without a front camera.
Anyway yes the app you are looking for may be found on the Play Store if you tried to actually search.

I was referring to the galaxy s3, Samsung newest phone. if you wouldn't mind mister high and mighty tell me the app name? I couldn't find it. the app on the phone is embedded into touchwiz so that's a no go

Are there any :good: apps out there that take full advantage of all the sensors that the S4 has to offer? I have checked a few and they seem like spoofs.

I found one called weather signal that uses the majority of the sensors (temp, light, humidity, bero pressure, and even Mag, flux from the compass) It does the job, I particularly like the logging feature. It allows you to set how often it reads from the sensor and then stores that. It also has some social features but I've never used them.
Not affiliated with the app in any way, by the way. Just a happy customer.

This one uses some but gives live readings from the rest.

There is an app in the Play Store called "Androsensor" that utilizes all of the phone's sensors including ambient temperature and humidity.

I've been using this Free app since I received my s4. Simple and had nice widgets.

Screenshots of the link I shared. The sensor information is when you click one.

Do you mean the smart features?
The Samsung studio video maker seems similar to auto awesome or what the HTC one has. I am seeing a 15 picture limit though. Is this correct? That seems like a giant gaping hole in functionality.
