When I use Google Music and my oldschool cassette tape adapter in my car the music keeps stopping and voice search pops up.. It seams like the phone think the tape adapter is a headphone and it's triggering voice input.. I have a completely stock phone, not rooted.
Anybody have any suggestions... Except for getting a new car...
Thanks

On second look its actually opening up my voice dialer automatically.. And I can't find how to get to the options for that.. I'm sure there is a way I can turn that off

Back when I had a blackberry I loved the ability to adjust volume and skip tracks with the side up/down buttons. Even while the screen is off in sleep mode. All you had to do is hold either the up or down button to skip back or forward. Right now all we can do is adjust volume. Possibly maybe there is someone out there that can modify the player to do this also???? It was VERY convenient not having to wake up the phone and flip thru a couple screens just to select the next button. Im sure everyone out there would have to agree. Devs! Im counting on you to figure this one out!

Use the earphone that came with phone.
Double pressing the mic button will go to next song

Does anyone know how to keep the car dock from automatically launching car mode? The audio drops down and drives me nuts. I'm using CM7 rc1.2.

Can't you just freeze car app with titanium backup?

I'll try doing that. I was hoping to not render the car mode completely useless. I just don't want it to launch automatically. Cause when it does it lowers the media volume quite a bit, and makes it where you can't control the volume with the volume rocker on the phone.

Neither freezing nor uninstalling the car home app keeps the volume from dropping. Bummer.

My wife recently bought me the stereoclip, I personally wouldn't have spent the money for it. When I pair with the device it is suppose to automatically launch the car app. But for some reason it never does. Does anyone here own one that can verify if it's just me doing something wrong? Appreciate any help!

To the best of my knowledge it works the other way around. If you dock the phone it will launch the car app which will then turn on Bluetooth and automatically pair the phone with the stereoclip as long as it's on. I believe you have to also enable that setting by tapping the notification panel on the bottom of car home when its launched.

Yes i get what your saying. But in my situation i have the dock but the connector on it broke so i cant launch the car app like that anymore. But like this video shows http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q34yRuHXb8 the stereoclip is suppose to be able to launch the car app as well.

I've honestly never seen that feature listed anywhere. So unless someone else chimes in perhaps it is a feature of the One S or One line. Yes I know our phone is technically a One X. But there are no options for that under the car app, Bluetooth, nor is that listed as a feature in the manual for the stereoclip. Based on your setup unless you just buy a new dock you can just select the car app anytime you enter the vehicle and the rest will be automatic. Perhaps you can also try a task app that will launch car app once it connects to a Bluetooth device.

Thanks for the help. I'll hit you up with a thanks tomorrow i already hit my limit today. When you say task app are you referring to nfc tags?

That is one option. Create an NFC tag for your car or keychain that launches the car app. Since launching the car app turns on Bluetooth and that in turn pairs with the stereoclip that is the simplest solution. The other option is an app like Tasker that can set predefined tasks that you would like upon certain conditions.

Hey guys how you doing. I've been having an issue recently with my DNA. Basically when I first paired my head set up with my phone I used to hit the button on headset and then the Google Voice Dialer would come up asking me who I want to call and after I say the name or number it would show up on the screen and so on.
But recently when I hit the button on my headset the Google Voice Dialer screen will come up and then quickly minimize every time so now I can't see the number was a person I'm calling come up on the screen I can only hear it. And then when the call goes out the screen for the dialer will come up. I am on stock firmware, no modifications.
Do you guys understand what I'm talking about?

Does anyone know another way I can remove the Samsung music app? It won't let me disable it. I'm not gonna root it because I believe this phone is great as is. Just when I hit the media button in my car, it always loads the worthless Samsung music instead of Google music.
