[Q] "Google + Local" Problem - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

We recently moved from Georgia to Alabama. The "Local" app (previously "Places") still thinks I am in Georgia. I have changed my home location on Google + and in the Contacts but it still thinks I am back in Georgia. Where is it pulling the location from and how do I change it? Thanks.

Go to manage apps, then select ALL, find google framework services and clear cache + data. It will take some time re sync all services, but this should work for you. You might want to reboot your device afterwards.

That didn't work either. I must be missing an obvious step.

Working now. Drove down the road and tried it. That plus waiting long enough must have helped. Thanks.

[Q] Background data seems to be disabled

I'm on the JellyWiz RLS7 rom and since I'm a noob I'm not aloud to post in that specific thread. Ever since yesterday, I noticed that my 4g lte logo had gone white. I thought this was curious but I put it aside. Later I noticed I could not connect to the Google Play store and I remembered that if you have your background data restricted you cannot connect to the Play store.
I have NOT manually set it to disable background data as you can see in my screenshots. Am I just dumb and disabled something or is this a rom issue/Verizon issue?

Edit: I have also done a factory/data reset and it did nothing. I would really like to avoid reinstalling the rom if possible.
Go into system settings, data usage, hit the menu button, see if restrict background data is checked.
Edit: oops couldn't see the second picture at first lol

Hangouts dialer defaults to speakerphone on Nexus 5

Weird issue on my Nexus 5. Whenever I make a call via the hangouts dialer, it will only play sound on the speakerphone. The issue doesn't occur on my Nexus 6, or my Galaxy S4, when using the same account. It's almost like the phone is using the tablet version, and thinking the phone doesn't have an ear piece. I also don't have the icon to the left of the head/shoulders with the + sign. See screenshot below (I just pulled it from a google image search). I've checked the version, and all my devices are on the exact same version of the hangouts dialer.

This forum is fast paced. Bump. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling hangouts dialer, but no dice. It's a backup device, so I can do a factory reset without losing anything, but wanted to see what ideas people out there have.

How to kill "Google Assistant" service nags?

So, often when I hang up a call or something, this irritating thing will pop up.
No, I don't want google to hear what I'm saying.
No,I don't need help trying to find store locations.
No, I don't want google to store my sex moans on their cloud.
how do I turn this off? Which service do i kill in DisableService, or if possible, which app should I freeze in Titanium for this asinine feature to go away once and for all?:fingers-crossed:
I can't go thru the list of Google services in DisableServices because the names are sometimes cryptic and the list of services itself is miles long. I also don't want to risk a bootloop or brick.

Thank you very much XDA'ers.
The only way I have found is remove the Google search app as that is where it is built into. It's what I do.

[Help] My phone apps say my phone is rooted after I have rooted another device

Hello.
I used Magisk root on LineageOS on my nintendo switch and I logged into my Google account (which I also have on my phone). I didn't do anything on the switch itself, didn't download any apps.
After this, probably because of the Google account, bank apps, mcdonald's app etc. on my phone (s6 edge android 7.0) spit errors about my phone being rooted (which it is not):

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I never rooted my phone, especially not with Magisk (don't know how to). I tried unlinking my Google account from the switch, uninstalling Magisk, even flashing switch android ROM again and nothing changes the situation on my phone.
Is there a way to fix this on my phone's side?
Thanks in advance.

Here the solution:
All work fine except Android Auto that required a updated Google Play Service to run
EDIT: All work fine with this updated version: https://www.mediafire.com/file/y8j8cd837pso0hz/PPFix_V2.zip/file
If you want us to fail the play protect and all the notifications arrive, you just have to freeze with ice box the google service frames and the play store, the latter being an outdated version, you must do it in airplane mode. All Google applications work perfectly, you will have to use Aurora store, You will have to clear the cache and data of the apps to be notified
