When was the SGH-Z610 released and for sale? that phone was 3-4 years ahead of the iphone... the iphone was a copy from it or something else. apple stole their product... btw, dont' belive EVERYTHING YOU READ ONLINE. of course that includes what I write.... but look it up... the SGH-Z610 was developed and released LONG before apple even sent anything to the FCC. man 5 phones, it gets to a point where some of you will find something wrong with a phone no matter what. The evo's and htc have a history or light leakage, dont know about screen misalignment, I really dont know how the hell that even looks like. I could think my screen is misaligned but damn it makes me think its in my head, when I use the phone it seems pretty damn straight to me. I am just confused why not just get another phone. Get the Nexus or wait for something else.

Moto makes decent phones, its just blur,.bootloaders, and moto's hostility towards devs that kills the brand for me. Hopefully Google will turn their attitude around.
If anything Google can singlehandedly turn Moto around, no locked bootloader, stock Android, etc. I've just hated Moto for their attitude towards the dev scene.

And just because Motorola wasn't that great doesn't mean Google won't turn things around. It will be interesting to see if they keep MotoBlur around or just start producing vanilla android phones. It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next year or so. Also will be interesting to see what happens with other companies like HTC and Samsung.
They did it for patent reasons, which makes sense. Now I can't wait for Apple vs Google lawsuits(Motorola). Man its crazy to think where Google came from, where they are now, and where they're going. Between Apple,Facebook and google, Skynet is coming!!!!!!!

Not specifically. Andy Rubin has come out and said the Nexus phones will continue to undergo a bidding process, rather than defaulting to Moto:

It did happen with wp7, and microsoft even willingly gave out the activation serials for it. (Back with the hd2. Even i called microsoft, told them i had an hd2 (Not wp7) and was installing wp7. Gave me the activation serial on the spot).
I somehow think apple won't be as nice.

And as stated when you posted in the wrong forum, people don't generally make custom ROMs for phones that they can't test their ROM on.

This phone has great specs. Get it. The iPhone is usually a little behind but over hyped. I didnt like the nexus because of the plastic feel and lower resolution screen

Then you have the constant, should I get this or wait crowd. The Sprint won't give me free stuff crowd. The I wish it had XXX feature group. This forum and many others are full of crybabies. It is a phone. It is only a few hundred dollars off contract. If a few hundred dollars off contract is a lot of money to you, you probably need to switch up your priorities and not buy expensive phones.

Last year when i purchased my evo3d sprint was paying $125-$150 for my old evo plus giving $75-$85 per line on early extensions. When a company does something like that it will cause a person to sit back and wait for a good deal to come along. Good forums like this one, that pass these deals on, sometimes allow us to get a great phone for next to free. I'm still shopping for an evolte with the same money i used on my original evo. (I'm not a troll, I"m just cheap)

I understand wanting to get a good deal. I just don't understand all the *****ing about it when Sprint tries to turn a profit. I only paid $125.00 for the LTE I ordered, I am sure my EVO 3D will sell for close to $200. I expense it, so it doesn't matter regardless. I bought my Treo 650 outright though for $650, at the time it was a great phone. It is just money, I'll make more.

While I'm excited about this device, I'm still on Sprint's network in an area that didn't have WiMAX, let alone 4G.
So . . . I'm not willfully upgrading until Sprint gets LTE in my area. Then I'll ask myself that same question: new iPhone, new whatever Android, or new BlackBerry (heh, you never know -- they might come back with THE BOMB!!) . . . until then, my HTC E3D rooted, unlocked and unstocked will suffice.

So I like the name LTEVO for this phone. I've seen a few people use it throughout the forums and it seems to be a great nick name. Anyone agree?

If you are serious.
It sounds like you like ROMs, right? Than means you like the whole development aspect of android phones. Then why the hell are you even considering a iphone?
I just can't fathom how somebody can't choose between one or the other.
If you want the status symbol and to be like everybody else, and you like to be spoon fed - go with the iPhone.
If you want something that is more than a phone, almost a hobby, something you can theme and Mod w/ bumps in the road - go Android (and this phone is the beast of Android right now).
If you like to tinker with the phone, go android. If you like things dumb'd down, go iphone.

Apple's New Patent
Apple has successfully received another WTF?!?! patent for laptop design. I am throughly disgusted by them.
I just can't help but follow the BS Apple continues to pull after the **** they pulled with us. That's it, I'm going to patent the shape of an apple and go after them.

Hey everyone, whether you're an Apple fan or not, please support this. It's not about hating the iPhone or iPad but rather the business practices and abuse of the patent and legal system. If this continues, we will not have a choice what smartphone or tablet we we want.
Apple's practices are bad for everyone.

They have probably already tried to patent the shape of an apple. They probably figured if they could sneak that one through, they could sue apple growers for a portion of their profits. What a greedy ass company.

If I had a time machine, I'd go back and meet Tesla so he could improve it for me. He probably had one or two of his own sitting around.

I didn't know that for awhile but then learned later on as schools fail to teach that also I don't think anyone alive is ba enough to be tesla

Well what you guyz have been saying was how i felt about Apple in the beginning as well. But TBH after a few months viewing the Android phones' forums and youtube videos I'd rather have Apple as a leading company than see Samsung's smugly face everywhere. That's my sentiment. Now waiting for the bashing
