I had a problem with FM tuner. I updated Ics CH ver. Everything working is fine but FM tuner sounds so noisy and deep. When I restart it works fine. I tired when I want to listen radio everytime to restart.
Like only me I lived this problem. Why anybody don't answer.
Thanks for your advices.
Same for me, i reinstall GB for now.
FM radio is important for me.
Same problem here.
Already tried with 2 different ftf files (CH and Iberia) and the problem persists.
The strange thing is that I didn't have to reboot the phone for the FM Tuner to start working again. Just waited about 6 hours and worked with no issues whatsoever
I even tried to kill the ANT Radio Service but it didn't work.
Btw I'm from Portugal.
When you are call anyone and close the phone it will work again too.
I don't understand.

Now that you mention it I did make a call before using the FM Radio again.
I'll try to narrow down the cause to the problem when I get the chance.
Just reboot

I got the same problem. But I cannot find a good way to resolve the problem. Hope Sony will release another bug fix for it.
Works fine on the UK generic ICS, did you do a full wipe before installing ICS?
Yes I did by flashtoll. But I try only CH ver. I didn't try on UK version. Where can I found UK FTF generic?

The problem has been fixed in .453 firmware. You can find the ftf in the firmware compilation thread in the general forum.

Well, I tried taking pictures with flash and nothing.
Hmm. Phone charged? There is no disabled hidden option somewhere? Well I am sure you already looked into these easy things, you are a senior member here
Hopefully some one with an SGS2 in hand can help you. It would suck to have to send it back to UK. I suggest you contact the seller soon, to get whatever authorization for return they require, before it is too late. You can meanwhile keep looking into the issue.
I've tried mine and 'Auto Flash' does not appear to be working - when the flash is set to 'On' it works fine on mine??
Anyone else apart from the two of us with this issue?

With auto flash the device only uses flash when it thinks it needs it....
Guess you figgered that out yourself also
Download a torch app from the market and try it to see if your led is ok, if so it must be a software problem.

Ok, you didn't mention it. I thought you did, but can't be sure here on the forum (not personal).
Must be some sensor failure i think.
Best still to check the obvious i guess ;-)
Surprised more people haven't mentioned it though

Has anyone tried it on the newest leaked ODIN rom?
I guess I will have to return it for an exchange. Man, that sucks tail!!! They're currently in back order.
Just downloaded the Vignette camera app and Auto Flash works.fine so its not the sensor.
Wonder if there's a bug in the standard camera app?

Just tried that. No luck. This is very frustrating. I may try flashing one of those firmwares from samfirmware.com
get the free tesla light app from the market (the icon looks like an energy saving light bulb)
It should work fully and instantly
Tesla won't work either. I wonder if it is hardware or software related problem. Is there a link for an unlocked SGS 2 stock ROM version to download?

Any fix on this? I'm experiencing the same problems..
Resurrection Remix 10.0 and Toyota TNS510 System
Just a notice that this seems fixed for me now.
I've upgraded to the 4.0.4 Rom found here: Click!
Next to this i'm using the app "doubleTwist"
ICS talks a different language then gingerbread when it comes to A2DP, especially for the play/pause commands, which seem important to me..
Hi forum.
Strange problem.
My Xperia S has started to FC the standard Sony launcher here this morning.
Theonly way i could solve it was to flash new firmware (even thoug i allready had the newest firmware)
Hey i thought maybe a faulty apk from marked or something...
NOW the strange part...
Just now my wifes Xperia S are now doing EXACTLY the same...
Her phone have nothing installed from marked at all !!
The phones are both bought on the same day (but one is white and one black, so proberbly different batch), and they have both been updated to the .73 firmware about 14 days ago...
- and they are both never turned off...
This bug have to be related to the firmware somehow or what do you think ??
It is really strange...
I have tried to turn my phone off, but that didn´t help...
The only thing that worked was to flash new firmware with seus...
BTW:
The phones are NOT rooted or bootloader unlocked...
Well it would seem that you already have a solution to your problem.

As homescreen FC, there is no way to get into settings or anything...
I've been using the nightly CM10.1 builds for a while now and it has always worked but lately when I tried to call someone I didn't hear the ringing before the call goes through and I can't hear them talking either but the speaker plays music and videos fine and I want to know how to fix this so I can call people normally again.
I have tried megawiping and reflashing, also going back to stock and starting again and other various methods like trying without gapps but I can't seem to get it to work and I really need it to cause its the only phone I can currently use but I found it was weird because this only occurs to my phone when running CM10.1 but calling works normally on stock and CM9.

I have same problem, I tried everything, flash ROM , radio, modem, full wipe, everything I could possibly thing of, but the Fu.cking problem is, the front speaker works fine with Viber, but absolutely no sound during the phone call!

The weird thing was I could get the phone/dialer working but it wouldn't work if I reboot my phone or change any of the settings like turning off animations.

I think it's more of a CM / 4.2.x Version issue rather than a service centre issue - Read a few issues and some say this solves the problem, some say it doesn't give it a try
Ok, i might found a solution:
Turning on the lockscreen sound in the sound setting and then reboot. I´ll try it and then tell my experience with this solution.

maybe replace motherboard will fix it ...
cannot hear when calling
Anyone have the solution yet?
it just happened to me to with AOKP (the last version - JB-MR1 Milestone 1)
Everything works fine, in a middle of a call the phone restarted and now there is no sound
Edit:
After a few full wipes and refreshing all is working good now.
Possible solution
