Camera Mod - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to take pictures by using the physical home button?

Hey,
check it out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183334

Thanks I will be posting there too but I was talking about the rectangle button at the bottom. I guess developers have only figured out how to make the power button and volume buttons act as a camera trigger not the physical home button.

jog button problem

I have the xda developers 1.2 SE rom with jog button on both buttons. Its a very good program but for some reason, now and again when I release the button on my required application it just carries on scrolling through them, and I have to press the button again to stop it. its not a hardware prob (eg Sticking button) cos it does it on both buttons. has any1 had this problem and can it be fixed, or is it me being stupid.
No, it's a bug. Just keep it pressed a little longer, or press it again if you see it sticks...

Remaping buttons to create a dedicated camera button?

Any thoughts on whether it's possible to implement a dedicated camera button? It seems superfluous to have both the home button and the power button able to wake the screen, and it'd be great to have one be able to unlock to camera.
That wud be cool like assign pressing both volume up and volume down at the same time as the button
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Yes, this would be great. don't let the thread die.

I think in theory that would be great, but what button would you replace?
The home and power buttons both have functionality that the other doesn't do. Both can unlock the screen (as you pointed out), but they don't both lock the screen. Also, only one of them actually performs the "home button" functions. So both are really needed.
I think matrixzone5's suggestion of a two-button action would probably be required.
Someone's already implemented on screen ICS buttons on the SGSIII, so for me ideally I'd have the power button as the camera button and the home button as the wake/lock button. Works for me because my case makes the power button hard to press.

Broke Capacitive Buttons Changing Glass. Looking For Software Solution

Hi Guys
I broke the capacitive buttons on my S3. Looking for the best software solution. Ideally a button remapper where I can assign the back button to the power button for back.Long press for power. Or even use the middle button long and short presses etc.
Many Thanks

You'll need root to remap I would expect.
You could also enable the NavBar:

A simpler solution could be lmt launcher...which needs root access...or pie control from the play store...both apps use on screen buttons rather than capacitive
navbar is the best solution
Thanks Guys, Was really hopping for a button remap option but thanks any way. Il try those options.
Cheers

Taking a screenshot

I'm unable to take screenshot with alpha. Palm gesture is really one tough process so I thought if any other way screenshot can be taken by using physical key i.e. press and hold volume down with power button. I tried using some 3rd party software but didn't work out.
Any ideas ppl.
You take screenshots by pressing power and home button together.

Kunai 2 Button Presses

Anyone know how to make the button presses that you map on your kunai not show? I layout the buttons and make that invisible, but when I hit the button it flashes the button press on screen. I'd like to make it so I don't see my button presses for a full screen experience without crazy button flashes.
I just uncheck the display hotkeys configuration option.
I have a picture but it won't let me upload it.

Yea but when you hit the button it shows up on the screen. That's what I'm talking about. I hate the button flashing and analog stick showing up while playing fullscreens.
