[Q] HP Mini 210 running Android - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. First off I'd like to say that I'm fairly new to all this, so don't be to harsh Anyway. I just installed Android 4.0.3 for the Android Thinkpad, onto my HP Mini 210. It works great, its fast, its awesome. Problem is, the wifi driver. From all the research I've done, I've found out that the linux doesn't natively support the wifi card that the Mini comes with either. So, I went about trying to learn how one would install it in linux. The two links below are to the drivers and the readme for the driver I need to install.
xda forums won't let me post the links... but if you do a quick google search for "802.11 Linux STA driver" it'll be the first one to pop up.
I can't figure out how to install the driver. I feel like I've gotten so close. But my limited knowledge of linux has lead me to a brick wall. Please help me here! Any and all help is greatly appreciated, even if its a link to another forum or site.

[Q] Novo 7 Aurora help

Hi Guys,
Read alot lately about the Aurora, watch numerous youtube videos... I've now purchased and am now waiting delivery of my new shiney tablet.... I have a couple of questions for those of you out there who are lucky enough to of obtained one...... Is there a file manager app on the unit (Astro Manager)
that i could use to transfer numerous apks i have required for my Droid phone..
Also has anyone recently obtained an Aurora running 4.0.3 or is it just a rumour if so have they manager to get market running on it... As i've read Lordsbm is only for <4.0.3 fingers crossed i get the 4.0.1 version... Lastly is there any real benefit to rooting the tablet at this early stage. As long as i can transfer apks from my pc to tablet i cant see why...
Thanks for reading.......

[Q] Hello XDA developers! And I need help. :)

Hello fellow members of XDA developers';
I am Kaan from Turkey. I'm working as a software development expert in a Turkish company we are mainly using PHP, Java and C# for development. I've been following XDA developers forums for a while and I have to say there are many talented people around here and I need your help now!
I own a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and a ZTE Web Tab (a.k.a Vodafone Smart Tab). The ICS os working perfectly on my Galaxy Nexus and my tablet has Gingerbread installed on it (and with lots of GSM operator apps I don't want ). I want to ROOT and then update my tablet to ICS but I have near to no knowledge about these devices. I've successfully managed to flash my Nokia 5800XM with Nokia C5 OS and I have a little bit experience about how it's actually done. Combined with my software development knowledge I've never bricked a device yet.
So I'm asking, is it possible to Root and then install ICS on my ZTE Web Tab? If it is, how?
I'm not 100% sure how to root it but to remove the carrier branded apps you have to use root explorer to remove them from /system/app

[Q] Can anyone who rooted Samsung gt 10.1 (3g) (Android 3.2) share your experience?

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. Also, I have been using android for a few weeks now and you may classify me as a noob even though I am very experienced with other platforms such as: Symbian, Windows phone, Mac OS and Windows. I got my first android device which is a samsung galaxy tab 10.1 with 3g which I upgraded to android 3.2.Well, it is a pain in the ass to remove some apps and not to be able to change the clock rate. So I have decided to root it. It is very hard to find one tutorial when it comes to my OS version, and there is no one who shared some thoughts after they have rooted their devices. Will there be any issues? Will I receive further updates? Is the system stable after the root?
So guys and girls, share some experience if you have the same device and the same OS installed.
Welcome aboard!
For rooting start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15693193. It provides a very easy way to root your tablet. There you will find also some basics about cwm recovery, which you also should flash either by rom manager apk (from play store) or through odin (a windows program used to flash roms to the tab). All info is in the previous thread. You can't overclock just by rooting. Flash a different kernel. Look at pershoot's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15022459. Before you proceed search Google as to what rooting basically is (well, root access is like administrator rights in windows). Bear in mind that there is a 99.99% chance that your warranty will be void though! Post here any question you might have after reading! Have fun

[Q] How do i root my Galaxy 5 GT-I5500 on the UK3 network?

I really hope someone can help me here, how do I successfully root my Galaxy 5 GT-5500 on the UK3 network? I have tried many different apps and downloaded a few very dubious files off the web! None have worked and most of the web files just tried to infect my PC with some little nasty gift! I've read many stories of glorious results, but I'm afraid my inexperience of these things is preventing my will to learn more of this interesting subject. So can any one help a lowly novice? And if you can please go slowly and simply, I've only had a PC since last xmas!
Use superoneclick to root. I had to try it a few times to get it to work though. If you need help then go to the Galaxy 5 section or message me
