Hey I've been trying several browsers and only Miren browser had the feature I need. I mean then I loaded pages stays loaded until I close the tabs/browser manualy.
All the other browsers keeps reloading pages then I don't need them to reload. For example - open some website, go to other app, then turn off mobile network and wifi, then go back to internet browser and it's only blank page (or an error page).
Recently I have flashed ICS ROM and now Miren browser FC sometimes.. I guess it's because of Miren browser is no longer supported and some ICS incompatabilities or ROM problems..
So can someone recommend me another browser which doesn't reload pages when apps being switched back and forth? Or way to keep all browser loaded tabs (in cache(?)) so it don't need to reload so much?
Opera mini or mobile.

Thank you for replying but I already had had tried Opera Mobile.. Now I have tried it again and Opera Mini. And still if I open any page, switch to other app and turn off network and then switch back to Opera, page reloads..
This sucks. Even phones with Symbian can do better..

It sounds like a bug in the ROM your using honestly, try flashing a new ROM and testing the browser.
How much RAM do you have? For me both Dolphin and Opera will keep the last page(s) open if I hit the home button and come back. I imagine if you are running low on RAM the browser process is getting killed.
Any solution for this? I'm using the stock ROM and stock browser... I don't remember that this used to be a problem, is it a setting that was changed or an update that caused it?
Very irritating, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx.

solution to mobile browser page reloads
There is a solution to this problem in case you're using opera mobile:
1) start opera mobile
2) in the web address field type about:config
3) in the search field on the now open page type refresh
4) uncheck "client refresh" and "client refresh to same location"
5) click on "save"
6) close opera mobile and - just to be sure - restart the phone to clear all caches.
Be aware though, that now you'll have to refresh pages manually if they contain heavily updated content (such as live feeds).
Hope this helps
I picked up my Galaxy Note yesterday and have noticed a strange problem with the browser. It seems that nearly half of the time when I launch the browser app, it starts a new session rather than resuming the previous. There are no dialog boxes or error messages, just a fresh browser session.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks.
i would recommend using a different browser in general, opera is my browser of choice
I have the same issue and it is very annoying. I tried switching to another browser but none of the browsers are as smooth as stock. Opera is close, but it has other quirks.
i notice almost no difference as far as quickness with opera. what are you trying to view that you are getting crashes
i posted simular thread. i changed my homepage as well and it still crashes and start up page is goole search. my home page is xda btw
Hi guys, I have my Galaxy S3 for some days now, and I love it, but my browser acts really weird.
Some web pages take ages to load (xda-developers takes like 15 seconds), and sometimes they won't load at all. When they do not load, I can stop them from loading and then refresh again, and then suddenly they'll load in like 2 seconds (I get this mainly with androidforums.com). Then, there are lots of sites that load just normal ( for example head-fi.org). I have tried a lot different browsers and they all have this issue: stock, chrome, dolphin HD, ics browser+ and quick ics browser.
Im new to both android and this forum, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe it's a problem with the JavaScript on ICS because the same thing happens on my Galaxy Nexus on certain websites like XDA. Turn off JavaScript in your browser settings and try the same sites. It's unbelievable that Google hasn't fixed this yet!!
Edit: You know it could also have something to do with how ICS connects with some routers for example: if a webpage is stuck loading: if you quickly turn wifii off then back on the page will load instantly. Who knows, I'm confused...
Wow, JavaScript is indeed the problem! Disabled it and xda loaded as it should. JavaScript is kinda important though, so turning it off is not really that convenient. Hopefully Google / xda devs will pick this problem up because it is really annoying...
And thanks for your answer
Would love to hear it if somebody has a fix

Bumping this, it is getting really annoying now... If there are people who do NOT have this issue, I would like to hear it as well, because if nobody has it, I'll try a factory reset.

Well I guess nobody cares, but I've found the problem: my 5ghz router. Switched it to 2,4 and everything is good now.

Did you get the same problem running say chrome?
Has anyone noticed a lot of lag in the internet browser app? It is weird because everywhere else on the phone is nice and responsive. There seems to be more lag when I scroll down compared to when I scroll up. Also It is usually the first swipe of the finger that has the most delay. After that first swipe it gets better but once I let the screen settle, I get the delay again. Am I the only one? Anyone know a fix to this issue?
I switched browsers, I couldn't handle it lagging either. Try Any other browser, they are all better

Thanks for the response. What browser did you switch to?
My 2 cents: Boat Browser or the beta version of Google Chrome.

Good afternoon, I'm new with the Pocophone and MIUI, but I'm adapting fast.
I have a problem and I can not find the solution, I often hear music directly from the browser, the music from the browser with the screen off is cut when I spend about 7 or 8 minutes. I have tried with several browsers but it follows the same problem. I followed some comments saying that it is necessary to put the lock in the section of recent applications and I have also put the option "No restrictions" in the section of the battery for each of the browsers.
After these tests I have been unable to get the music to play from the browser without being cut.
Do you have any solution to this problem? Does anyone know what can I do?
Greetings and many thanks.

I think that it is the Doze function of Android that is putting the browser to sleep. I don't know the exact location of "battery optimisation" in the F1, but you can search for it in the Settings and choose "not optimised" for the browser. You may also have to do the same for the music player which plays your music.
Solved
Please, close this post. After the last estable update the problem is solved.
Thanks.
