Images/Videos that came with the Sony Xperia S - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I recently bought a new Xperia S, and am really excited about it. Unfortunately i've lost the stock images and two videos that came with the device. So i would be extremely grateful if someone here spares the time to upload the images and videos. I've tried repairing the device but they did not appear, and i don't want to repair one more time and loose all the data, so repairing is not an option for me. That will be all
Thanx in advance

Anyone?

HI, the videos one is the Landscape video for demoing Xperia, which is also 1080p
The other is just movie trailer for an kinda old movie "Cloud with chance of meatballs"
The reason why you can restore through the system restore, is they were stored in the built-in 32GB memery card, system restore only restore the system itself, not the storage.
And the picture are defult on lots of sony / SE products, like my PS3 also have those pictures.
Sorry, I kinda delect mine already, since I don't see why I need them.

I will upload the pictures and video later today. My images were 25 high res images.

I thinkI will turn on the PC now and upload it.
Do you want the "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball trailer"? Or just the Xperia HD landscape video?

No problem at all. It's just gonna take a little more time. The pictures + Landscapes is at about 40-45%. Uploading to Dropbox. It's taking a while as my upload speed isn't so good.

Finished the pictures + Xperia landscapes.

Here is it. Download and extract (to a folder, if you want some organization). I will start the other video upload now and post the link in this same post.

Thank you very much man. Are these the original ones or the resized ones?

Sony App

I don't know whether this has been mentioned, forgive me if it has.
I have looked through the thread and didn't see anything.
The app is called frame grabber, it works a treat. It can take a pic from your video which is great if your taking fast moving objects.
Something that would possibly turn out blurry with the camera but won't with the video, can be captured and saved as a pic.
It's about £3 in UK money off the market, but for me it's well worth it.
So if you're little ones are running around and your trying to take a pic without blur, video them instead and grab a frame from the video and then you have the best of both;-)

Mobile BRAVIA Engine Issues (let's make Sony do their job)

Anyone having this issue?

how can you say its working fine? can you please be more specific? can you post some pictures? got mine, not working out of the box! xperia acro S!
Hrm well on Xperia S! I don't notice any difference since GB! But now I check it through MX player by switching between Software and hardware rendering! I see the difference! But I don't know how to test on Picture! Any easy wait to see it! As far as I know tick or untick bravia engine make no difference to my eyes in Album apps!

1. Take a photo, preferably with bright colours.
2. View the photo in gallery with mbe on.
3. Take a screen shot.
4. Repeat 2&3 with mbe off.
5. Now with mbe off, view the two exact same photos in the gallery on full screen, swipe between them, you WILL see a difference, it may be subtle, but it will be there.

I don't think BE works this way! If u screen shot it, it will be the same as ur original pic neither on BE off nor On would effect the screen shot! But it effect the viewing! I meant like all the 2 screen shots and original image would look excactly the same on the same BE state! If the BE state change, it would effect all the pics not partially nor depend on which state the screen shot was taken with!
If you know what I mean!

Mbe is fine here, but I don't use stock gallery very often.
Tbh I prefer to leave it off, colours look saturated to me with it on.

I can say that BE is not working on Viewing pics since I've capture a screenshot in video in software rendering mode on MX player! Then turn on Hardware rendering! And compare the scene in the Movie with the screenshot! And the scene in the movie is more colorful than the screenshot! The screenshot should look excactly like the video but it doesn't it still look like BE is off!

its not working!
its not working on Sony's Album app neither on hardware accelerated Quickpic! It works on MX Video HW accelerated though. please click the link i have posted and help me make Sony fix it!
one more thing, a screenshot with BE ON or OFF wont show any difference when the actual screenshots were transferd over a computer. mBE only works with the SX or ACS's screens when viewing photos and videos. BUT IT DOESN'T WORK ON ICS.
the difference is CLEAR and APPARENT with it ON. CHECK MX VIDEO or anyone who had a 2011 Xperia phone with ICS.
ANYONE WITH EYES WILL NOTICE THE HUGE DIFFERENCE IN COLOR SATURATION AND NOISE REDUCTION! even those people who are not into technology and don't even care about BRAVIA or SUPERAMOLED saw the difference. (my office mates)

This is what i've been telling them! But no one get it! I compare a screenshot with a hw accelerated video through MX player and see the different! Since pics are not BE rendering but video does! I meant I compare a still image with a paused video!

be only works with sony's apps ie. album and movies. be has got nothing to do with mx player, the change you are noticing is due to the difference in software and hardware decoder.
you can find more info about be here

btw when you take a screenshot it saves whatever is being displayed on the screen (that simple) regardless of the workings of be.
whether be is working on your phone or not you can check it by comparing screenshots.

Let me ask u a logical question! As u know that BE emulate a normal picture into a more vivid and good looking pic! U agreed with that right!
Kk!! How abt viewing a screenshot of BE On in a BE-Off state? Still the look of BE on? - ACTUALLY IT WILL LOOK LIKE BE off like the one u capture with BE-Off!
How abt viewing a screenshot of a BE off in a BE-ON state? Still look like BE off? Why didn't it turn to BE-ON? - it'll look like BE on even the screenshot of BE-off since it emulate pics on screen to BE-On!
YOU GET WHAT I MEAN?

HD = High Definition
To be HD Quality a Image/Video has to be at least 1280x720.
It works fine for me, thank you :good:
Guys,I already said they have the phone resolution, they are especially small because I took them from a guy which took the wallpapers from his Xperia S.Well maybe on the computers it's small and not HD but if you put them on your phone they will look like HD.
It's my matter how I send this.

Not an oxymoron at all. HDR is just another format of capturing an image... well, at least three images.
I'm new to the nexus 10 but every time I try to save one of these pics and set it as a wallpaper I'm getting a force close error. What am I doing wrong?
