[Q] Task killer similar to photon's? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I had this really great stock task killer app in my photon. The app kills tasks ONLY after 2 minutes of display timeout. Is there anything similar in the market? because all the apps I tested kill the apps while I'm using them.

Task maneger, anyone?

Hi there.
I'm looking for a widget task manager (not a task killer, just something that gives me quick access to running tasks), preferably something that shows me running tasks in the widget itself (as oppose to a widget that opens a menu of tasks when pressed).
I use to use the go launcher task manager, that suited my needs perfectly, but as far as I understand it, it's only available with the launcher.
The Active Apps / Task Manager looks good, but only shows the apps themselves in a menu, and not on the "desktop".
So, any recommendations?

Task manager recent task limit :help:

Why is it Task manger only Show like 16-20 recent taks even if the recent app is still in background(cached)
is there any other app for that or any way to remove that limit
i found this app which shows 30-40 recents apps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ms.salt.prehome&hl=en
but problem is it starts the app from start not from where i left it
thanks
no one?
it doesn't show which are running on background but the last 15 apps were in use.
cheers

[Q] easy way to prevent an app being killed?

i use network speed but every 30 mins or so android kills the service. i dont have any task killers etc
checked under dev options and it's not set to kill the apps, and under background process limits,it's set to standard limit. the other options are 1-4 at most. or no background processes.
i had a look at some supercharger guide but it's random as hell.
Anyone?

anyone using the 'tasker' app with miui?

so i wanted to try out tasker but miui jst stop the app after being cleared from the recent apps. is there anyway to keep the app from not stopping when cleared from recent apps?
I am a heavy tasker user and for me it works fine (though I have only yesterday finally updated to Pie so it's maybe a bit early to say that everything is working perfectly). I have a 'run in foreground' enabled in the tasker preferences and I think I have disabled the battery optimization for the tasker. It doesn't get killed and all my profiles seem to be running correctly.
Running Tasker in miui from day one, disabled battery optimization and enabled autostart.
No issues... But i never clear apps from recents though... Wouldn't know why... 6GB ram :victory:

Question Easy High Performance Mode Toggle?

There doesn't seem to be a way to turn on high performance mode outside of navigating to battery in the settings and then advanced battery settings. Does anyone know of a way to add a notification switch or even a widget on the home screen to quickly turn it on and off?
Also I have tried my best to eliminate the OS's ability to kill apps running in the background. The one I have issues with the most is PokemonGo. I will switch from one app to another and when going back to PokemonGO it will have killed it and it restarts when going back to it. Loading like I just opened the app for the first time.
Things I have done so far. Disabled battery optimization for the app in the battery settings and turned on "Allow background activity" in the app settings under app management.
I have no task killers installed and the OS is basically stock after a factory reset.
I'm rooted and on DE2118_11_C.16
Have you tried locking the PokemonGo app to prevent it from being suspended?
Also you should check setting under developer mode in APPS section: Susspend execution for cached apps.
I would lower the background process limit from 5 to 3 due to the limited amount of ram on this device and lock any app you want to continue to run if it falls into 4th place.
Also, I would tur off RAM Boost as it does not improve app selection based on my use.
I have it locked yes, still gets closed in the background at random it seems.
RAM Boost was off as well.
The Suspend execution for cashed apps can you explain a bit on how this works? Do I have to cache the app or something in addition for it to work?
I keep the VPN Hotspot, AD Guard, and Pokemon GO locked.

Click to collapse
This will "freeze" apps that are cached (past the open app limit) and they will not take any resources. This also will cause them to stop responding like your Pokemon app.
