[Q] Lag - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi, i'm using b39 Aokp rom with sirkay's kernel and i'm getting a little lag with HD games. I was playing FIFA 12 and it was lagging a bit. After change the goveror to intelidemand it was better but not 100%. I set the cpu max to 1.4 GHz.
What can i do to get better performance? Delete useless apps? Free ram?

Update your ROM and kernel, or use a faster ROM. Stuff like PolishBlood's and FXP's is pretty good. Lower your OC as well, to prevent damage to phone

Overclocking Problem

hey guys.
i have been wondering about this problem for a long time, and i could not find a solution to it. Thus, i wanted to ask you guys about it. The max i can overclock my phone to is 748. whenever i try to raise it to about 768 or 787, the phone will freeze and restart. is it due to the hardware limitations of my phone? or isit due to some software limitations?
Please help.
Just Hardware.
(I can overclock to 729 )
Hi. I'm still using Gingerbread stock rom 2.3.3 but with latest franco's kernel. My max. clock is 710Mhz. Anything above that, my phone will get freeze very often. Is there any recommendation on what should i set for my min. clock as well as the Governor?

I use stock 2.3.3 v20g + franco kernel and set max clock at 729Mhz, sometimes it freeze, but normally work fine (with any gov).
Each CPU is a little different. My OV is stable at 600 with smartassv2 but once I step it up to 729 the phone will randomly freeze or reboot.
Sometimes you get a good cpu that can be OCed a bit, and sometimes you get one that can go no further then stock. If you can OC then consider yourself lucky.
Whenever you try to increase the max frequency beyond a certain limit the CPU can not handle that and tells the kernel about that and kernel starts to Panic... (reboots or freeze)
For example My phone remains stable upto 768 MHz (usually i keep it at 748Mhz....)
but if i increase it to beyond 806 MHz it starts to panic...
Hardware
Has differences on hardware, already tried with 2 differents P500, one could overclock to 768 Mhz, the other can reach 800Mhz without freeze.

Since all the p500 have same hardware, they can be OC to same max frequency if they have same software config...
806! never freezes but she gets warm! can get over 40 celcius
EDIT
Mind you i only get about 16 hours of battery life LOL

where did u get ur facts?
are u smart or just effin noob?
yours preferred governors????
actually the best one is....
Dude keep it around 652 and interactive otherwise UR Battery will drain fast
depends on ur ROM+kernel combo.
on oxygen v1.1 i smoothly ran on 480-768 and battery lasted around 2 days with average use.
Now on Cm7 nightly, equally smooth at 729-480 and battery is awesome too..
Overclock
Ohhh!!! lucky guys.. my phone only accepts 672Mhz at max or anything above that value leads to rebooting or freezing.
Rom: Cyanogenmod 9 (Android 4.0.3)[BETA4]
Kernal: Franco Kernal - 4
OC: 480/672 Max
I get 748MHz completely stable when pushing "performance" governor with franco #4.
But irrespective, this is not about bragging...one would see LITTLE real life difference (save for frying the CPU faster) going above 672MHz. Don't just look at synthetic benchmarks...feel your phone.
Oh...and it was mentioned multiple times that 600->806MHz uses the same voltage hence the same power consumption for Sidestep CPUs.
I am running max CPU @ 729 and it has been running smooth for days with no freeze/reboots, I also noticed having the Governer on Performance has helped my battery life and such, i havent noticed the phone getting any warmer whatsoever so no problems with heat, Also I am using a LG-P504 Optimus One which Ive heard is the final release for this phone, so maybe its more stable than the pervious versions.
My p500 can handle 768 max. With some kernels 787mhz. But i am running 245-710 with miui v4: lol:
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
Yea mine can handle that too but it drains my battery faster I've noticed. So now I run Max @ around 720 which seems quite stable!! Only time I use the nitrous feature also is with playing more top end games which I otherwise wouldn't be able to play without really low fps.
Sent from my LG-P504 using XDA App
Im using cyanogenmod nightly 7.2.0 build 34 on 748 mhz with any governer and it's working very well.OC also depends on ROM's.each ROM has different capabilities to OC...

Please help, games are laggy :(

Hey, I have some problems with almost all games, I tryed all, thd games, gameloft games, market games....
I cant play any game smooth, what is wrong, I tested it on all actuell custom roms.
Please help me, the games running blazing fast on my galaxy note, but not on my tab
These would help make it easier on other's to help, Firmware Version and #? What tab version? Custom or Stock Kernel?
But yes I will have to agree, most games that end up scaling are **** laggy, Only game that hasn't lagged on me hard was "Where's My Water?" and "Osmosis HD", if you aren't on 1.4Ghz by Pershoot, most lag so damned hard, BS tegra2
Yoda : I couldn't play initially, lag strong with this one, yes.
Just change the governor in Pershoots Kernel to performance but don't keep it on performance all the time, when your done gaming, change it back to ondemand or something as performance on all the time will kill the tablet faster as it makes the GPU processing 100% making games smooth and lagfree at most.
My tablet was doing that too but then I followed the advice of people in here and installed pershoots kernel and set CPU and set it to 1400 and it got super fast
What governor did you use? Performance?

[Q] 3d performance - ics much worse than gb ?!

hey,
just tried to play nova 3 and while it runs mostly with adorable fps it sometimes really stutters (i'm on wannamlite v12 + siyah 3.3.2).
then i tried shadowguns since i know it runs pretty well on gb. as i expected it also runs worse on ics and stutters from time to time.
at last i tried quadrant to see how my phone performs in benchmarks and i noticed that i got much less fps in the 3d parts (30-40% less than i can remember from gb).
so, does anyone know why ics performs so bad in 3d games and if there is a solution to this problem (obviosly without going back to gb ^^) ?

Did you UC?? maybe try bring your gpu back to stock values using extweaks or maybe even OC it..
no uc but tried with stock frequences and with oc'ed ones (cpu: 1600 mhz gpu: 400mhz)
got slighty better but still nowhere near gb- performance.
This is why i am still on GB, ICS still needs a lot of work.
i would really like know what is the reason behind this since i thought that the usage of the gpu would be improved on ics ?

[Q] How can I overclock this tab with ICS?

Hello, I'm have a GT-P7510 running Task's ICS, kernel 3.1.10 (stock one i think, no other kernels have been flashed)
I was playing Mass Effect Infiltrator (yes, we can play it even though Play store says it isnt compatible) and find that it lags like hell at the final boss (runs smoothly before that though). I also install the Mass Effect live wallpaper and find that it kinda laggy. In addition to some minor lags with TW, I decided to OC it. I'm a noob and I think I might wanna find some info about this issue first before frying or bricking my tab.
So, can I OC it with this kernel? If not, what other kernel can I flash? If so, is there a free app to OC? How can I set the specs with that app (for best experience)? I find myself confused when I hear about "undervoltage" somewhere. Can it help me save my battery? The battery in sleep mode is kinda good though, 0-1% loss when left overnight.
And final question, does OC-ing eat up my battery???
Can you OC with what kernel? You didn't mention the kernel you flashed to overclock.
Clock speed can be changed with Antutu CPU Master.
Overclocking will "eat" your battery if you go high. 1200 or 1400 Mhz should be fine.
I didn't flash any kernel. The 3.1.10 kernel came with the rom.

You have to flash a custom kernel to overclock. Check the development section.
from what i read, there are yoda and A1, which one is better, and more stable? oh and do you know what keyboard out there is best? SwiftKey is good but auto correct is so damn annoying.

Ultimate LG p700 ROM test

Okay, this is going to help people who is after performance.
No, scripts have been used for any of these tests. All tests has no other applications running then settings. Gapps is installed too.
Processor is clocked at 1GHZ at ON DEMAND.
Cyanogenmod 10 ROM SIZE IS 150MB (4.1.2 June the 2nd update):
Antutu Benchmark: 3535
Free RAM: 175mb
Note: Very good ROM. Stable and fast.
SlimBean (Rom Size 85MB) Using 17may 2013 update :
Antutu Benchmark: 4102
Free RAM: 232mb
Note: DPI is wierd, text is so small and the performance tab in the settings is broken (incompatiable with the rom). Besides that ROM is actullay stable and noticeablly fast and quick to boot up.
PacMan (Rom Size 145mb) 27.may 2013 update:
Antutu BenchMark: 3954
Free RAM: 206mb
Note: Pretty unstable and slow takes, like 10minutes to find program in Google Play. Avoid it if possible. Settings is also wierd.
Conclusion: SLIM BEAN is the best! Just find some way to fix the text thing and it will be the best!

I did it too before but I have tested rooted official firmwares and V20D was the best, and not Slim Bean.
V20D gives me 100mb. It's not better then SlimBean for me.

This is true. But for me, SlimBean is better. But I am using V10K now. More Ram and better benchmarks.
v10k is best rom so far for our device. Im heavy user, mostly internet browsing , lots of texting, lots of calls, twitter, charging my phone sometimes twice a day...
I get flashed every rom found here, but i always restore my v10k nandroid backup after some time.. Thats my opinion.

Im using CM10 because of Gandalf kernels 1.3 GHz, althrough im using it on 1190 MHz with SMARTASSV2 Governor, zRam, Allow purging of assets and Krenel samepage merging in memory management. With these settings my phone is faster in games like Subway Surf (I play it with no laggs at all)

If your phone become unstable, if reboots occured without any visible reason, you fried your cpu. you can't speed up your system with overclocked cpu, but you can damage your phone with that. More RAM installed in our device will significantly speed up system overall. Rest is just painfull placebo effect.
Before lg l7 i got Samsung Galaxy S + (plus) .. an 1.4 ghz clocked variant of famous Samsung galaxy S clocked "only" at 1.0 Ghz. And guess what?? I kept phone underclocked @ 1.0 Ghz working just fine and draining less batterry.

Dont know about that but I have got Galaxy 3 before L7 and I have overclocked it from 667MHz to 1300MHz with no problems like unstable phone, rebooting or anything else but games were a lot less laggy.
