Hi,
so after I had installed the new Eclair onto my device, everything worked fine, but camera app started to say not available (you can choose wait or force close). What happened? How can I solve this problem?
If anybody has a good idea or something, please share! (my phone is not more than a week old...)

I am facing the same issue. I am just trying to reflash using SEUS to see if it sorts it out. I used the same image to flash a couple of other peoples X10s, and they haven't had any problems so might just be the luck in the draw...
Update:-
I have flashed using SEUS and when starting the camera from either holding the shutter button or choosing camera from the apps menu I get the same error message:-
"Sorry! Activity Camera (in application Camera) is not responding"
After killing the Camera app, it will start up but will display
"Camera not available"
After reflashing with the generic global firmware again and checking the camera before changing any other settings, it still fails.
The error message is now
"Sorry! Application Camera (in process com.sonyericsson.android.camera) is not responding"
The only options are Force Close and Wait.
Has anybody got any ideas on how to get around this issue?
I tried to rewrite camera app at system, but it was not succesful. Device is not rooted (yet). Maybe it solves?
I suffer the same problem. After a few study I doubt if the SEMC_IMX046_Camera driver is missed / corrupted on the phone which led to this 'Camera not available' symptom. Anyone able to help us out?
is it sure? if this causes the problem, all that we need to change/recover it with the original one. PLEASE HELP US!

I had this problem too! Is your phone rooted? You need to replace the SemcCameraApp.apk file
i dont know tht file even exists!!! can u tell me how to find it and install on the mobile .. its still saying camera not avaialble !

As I wrote my problem is same as speakers previously. It's really annoying. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I use stock 2.1 firmware. The most funny is that my xperia was bought just on the 1st of april so it's like a new one, whats wrong with it?

@edit: I forgoten to write that yesterday I reinstalled system via SEUS on my X10. Problem still exists.
I saw that there was a camera fix zip file posted a couple of days ago. It seems that there are people whose upgrade to 2.1 was incomplete.
I went and searched and found it archived, it was March not recently. It will try to reflash your camera firmware for HD which may be the problem if you stopped the flash progress when the 'flashing camera' icon was on the display. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991442
HOWEVER I THINK IT NEEDS A ANDROID SDK ON YOUR PC TO RUN
Another thing is that if the permissions for the camera app are incorrect it gives similar messages.
The permissions should be if you look in the /system/app directory for the SemcCameraApplication.apk rw-r--r-- if you have Root Explorer you can mod them with the checkboxes. Read for Owner, Group, Others and Write for Owner only.

even from the start MARKET doesn't work.
I tried some market version, i try to install it from zip, but no luck.
Even it seams is working, when i want to install an app it say downloading and then stop suddenly.

I thinck is a filesystem problem, becouse i want to download something from adnroid.market.com and I had the same experience : "Your item will be downloaded" and nothing hapend.

few days ago a problem started with my sony xperia u , i think it's because the app : Ask.fm , whenever i get a notification or i open the app or try to uninstall it i get the problem , Unfortunately, the app has stopped error , and everything stop workin so i have to reboot the phone , whats the solution ? is there any idea to destroy this app ? like delete it files so it will don't work anymore ?
btw when i unistall it i get the Unfortunately, the app has stopped error problem for all apps , but ask.fm doesn't appear like it really uninstalled , but when i reboot it appears again -.-
i'm using rooted ICS android
Question is is it this app or something else you did before the problem began.

Hi guys, I just got a HTC one max 8160 . It has a problem with the YouTube. I tried everything, like clearing data , caches , Factory reseting . Try to update the app in Google play . Nothing works. The problem is when ever I launch the app it'll just says An error occurred. Won't load . One more is I thought of trying to update the software of the device, but it seems there is no software update option on the system. Can any help with this or anyone encountered this problem? Hi guy . Ok I managed to fix the YouTube problem by rooting the device and uninstall the app reinstall it back from play store. Now I like to know if anyone knows any stable custom Rom or stock lollipop Rom suitable for this model device. It seems there are few version of Max around. I'm not sure which is Rom is suitable. After installing latest 10.0.15063.251 build in Release Preview ring and an hard reset i was facing a strange issue:
When i run Movies&TV i get a screen that said i need to download that app, so i pressend the "download now" button then store app started donwloading the "requested app". Immediatly i get 0x803F8005 error and download stopped.
Tryied soft reset, standard restart and finally hard resetting my phone without any lucky: app wont update or if i try to lanch from app list i get the same screen where is asked to download/update that app.
Anyone has facing this issue? Any solution?
Maybe sideloading the app resolve the issue? In that case someone can upload lastest version of Movies&TV?

I faced this issue once when I was updating Windows Camera app.
You just have to uninstall all Movies&TV packages in Interop Tools and then redownload it on the Store.
