Audio Application Notification - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

Does anyone know how to get rid of the Audio Applications Notification when you plug in headphones? It just gets in the way and takes up valuable space.

I am also wondering this, about to go on a 4 hour bus ride with my headphones in but the vibration on this phone is too weak so I would miss notifications and don't want to disturb the other passengers

I guess no one knows how to get rid of it

[Q] Headphone Jack for music, Bluetooth Speaker for Navigation at the same time?

Is it possible, to use my AUX cable to play music like I always do, but at the same time! Use a bluetooth mini speaker to make the Navigation Voice much easier to hear.
Any ideas?
Rooted, with customer Kernel and Rom.
Yes it is possible only thing is when the next turn comes up it will shut off the music for a few seconds while it finishes the navigation command that is given via voice

Latest OTA and Navigation

Just trying to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue I am having with Navigation and media when connected through 3.5mm jack.
When ever I'm listening to music through Google Music or power amp and I'm also using navigation at the same time the woman's voice comes through very distorted when giving voice directions. On music apps that actually get paused when guidance is being read you don't get the distortion but on apps that turn down the volume and play the navigation over the top of it you get a pretty nasty sound through the headphone jack. On apps like Doggcatcher the problem doesn't happen because the media gets completely paused.
I've tried this on Viper 1.0(works great, old OTA). Synergy(distortion), Stock with goodies 1.04-06(distortion) Mean Rom(distortion).. Anyone else getting this?

It's due to the way poweramp works. I don't know if the bug still exists but if your listening to music and you enter another app the music gets disorded untill u disable beats audio

[Q] Bluetooth headset announce caller name

is there is any application that makes a bluetooth headset announce caller name???? please help
You might wanna try searching tasker posts. It's an automation app and from things I've seen so far there should be a method to do it.

try to go into: setting, display, notification pannel, and take the Driving Mode into the notification panel. Then active it, the phone will tell you who is calling you or who have sent the message, i think it work also with bluetooth headset.

Annoying volume reduction

Alrighty. I searched around and found this question asked a few times around the net, but never answered. Same question is also asked over in the Sprint note2 q&a with no replies...
The question is this..
How the heck do you disable the automatic reduction in volume when plugging something in the 3.5mm jack?
I switch between by car's cd player and a line-in cable to use streaming audio through my phone a lot and am incredibly annoyed with having to turn my phone's volume back up when i plug in the cable. I also dont like being chided like a 10 year old with the "don't listen to loud music" message each time i turn the volume back up... i don't need a nanny. i just want to listen to my music without having to keep fiddling with volume settings.
Anyone know where this "feature" is and how to disable it?

Good question. I was wondering the same thing, as well as how to turn off the "soft ring" or whatever it's called where the ringer starts low when you're receiving a call and after a second or two goes to regular volume.
I've looked in the sound settings and in accessibility but can't find any options for those things.
i seem to be having the opposite problem ...
the volume is loud as hell even on the low setting.
maybe its just me ?

Some custom ROMs have it removed...if you are stock or the ROM you are running doesn't have it removed you can install this app in the market to stop it from happening:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...S5zaHVtb2FwcC5kaXNhYmxlaW5jcmVhc2luZ3JpbmciXQ..
It's free. It runs in the background but I've never seen it consume any battery. All you have to do is open the app and it stops the increasing ring from then on. Make sure and follow the instructions if you don't want the persistent notification. I turned it off and the app has never been killed.
Honestly, that increasing ring was irritating, but i never thought about fixing it... i installed that app and we'll see how its works.
Now if we can just get rid of that stupid volume reduction i'll be set!
<- rooted stock

Well... I just flashed to beans rom 7.... And the silly volume reduction is still there...
Anyone have any other ideas on wherr this "feature" is hidden so i can excise it like a malignant tumor?

[Q] Notifications interrupt music playback even on vibrate.

My phone is always on vibrate, but even then when I'm listening to music I still have the notification sound going off when I get a text or email. I tried disabling all sounds and the notification will still go off in my headphones regardless of what mode the phone is in. Any way to fix that?
+1 Seems a rather common problem and I have not been able to find a fix...
I think its a General android problem which if i remember correctly google said they have changed in Android 5.0 but thats months Away from us
There is a xposed module i think caled DO NOT DISTURB which prevents alot of things interupting music play
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I couldn't find that, but most of the apps I've found simply put the phone in silent/vibrate based on different events.
I wouldn't mind it if the interruptions were limited to Ringer mode, but lowering volume while on vibrate or silent? That just ruins the music experience.
