Hi dudes, would like to ask you about skype and bluetooth heads.
When I pair my headset to my device (Xperia Mini Pro Si17, and use skype, i receive the sound from my headset, but when it comes to the voice, skype stubbornly uses the phone's microphone.
Is there a work around?
thank you.
My HBH-DS980 working corectly. Which you use? Maybe try repair.

I think its just a problem of the phone prioritising the Bluetooth headset over the plugged in one, so basicaly its 'listening' on the bluetooth headset. or well, I could be wrong.
where you using the stock headset from the phone? it got four segments on the 3.5mm jack, instead of the three usually found in standard earphones.
if that is the case, SE think is using a different configuration with the segments (with the last segment, near the plug is the ground), or something to that effect, rendering the headset incompatible with nokias.
if the bluetooth you got has a mic on it, then just grab an earphone and use it with the bluetooth you got.
I'm using Nokia BH 104 with xperia mini without any probs.
Have u checked ur headset for proper functionality with othet phones? Might be a prob with the accessory

I have paired my sgs2 with my bluetooth car kit. Phone calls etc work perfect, using my car's speakers and microphone. However, when i try to use the satnav on my phone, or start the Voice Commands app and it says "what would you like to do?", the audio comes out of my phone's loudspeaker rather than my car's speakers!
Is anybody else having this problem? Or is it working fine for other users?
I am using a Parrot 3200LS. Here is a screenshot of it's bluetooth settings on my phone:

On google people mentioned that there should be 2 checkboxes, Phone and Media, but i only have Phone. Is this what is causing the problem? Is there any way i can fix this?
Thanks

EDIT: I found the answer to my own question. Apparently my Parrot 320LLS does not support A2DP, which is required to play the navigation, music, etc sounds through the car speakers via bluetooth!
Just got a car that has bluetooth, I was wondering can you play music through the bluetooth to the car stereo?
If so how?
anybody know
Simple, activate the bluetooth in both devices and connect them.

Hi,
the car bluetooth must support the protocol A2DP (bluetooth stereo) otherwise no music over bluetooth. My adapter also only supports handsfree and I think headset so I also have no music in my car stereo from my X10.

Thanks, let's say the car does not support A2DP protocol, can u upgrade it through firmware?! Or does A2DP has Hardware component to it?!

Hi,
I think it depends. It might also be hardware related. You only have to consider that you normally do not need stereo for your calls so they can use cheap mono chips for their bluetooth receiver.
Ralf
I remember i could connect it to answer calls but could not make music play :/

So i tried playing music over the bluetooth. It didn't work.
I was trying my new bose Bluetooth headset today and found that i cannot use it on gtlak video calls, is the problem from my headset or it is not enabled from gtalk app?
update: turns out there is an option for bluetooth while in call but couldn't switch to it, dono if the problem is from my headset, anyone tried it ?
thx

I have the same problem, The voice gets routed to the bluetooth headset, but nothing happens afterwards, cannot hear or be heard!
When changing the audio the the speaker or earpiece, audio works fine.
I have a Jabra Extreme2 and on LFB latest stock with no root or any modifications.
This only happens on Gtalk, otherwise the bluetooth works fine with calls and anything else, oh also skype is funny with the bluetooth as well, not stable!
Is it a general thing of my combination of software, SGS3 and Jabra Extreme2?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I am experiencing the following problem with my GT-S5282:
Even though both music and normal calls are transmited just fine to the Bluetouth headset (MW600), there is no voice when making a VoIP call (I am using the build-in Andoid's SIP support). The headset is showing the time of the call and allows to end it and so on, but there is no sound. VoIP works fine on GT-S5282 without the headset and I didn't have this problem with the same headset on HTC Incredible S.
Probably the same problem as described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/skype-viber-voip-bluetooth-headset-t2405497
