I dont mean to extend this thread as to there is one, but mine happens randomly, home screen sometimes, play store grey screen... random.
Same issue here see it on a daily basis. I notice it on the stock messaging app and twitter but happens other places as well.
I have had the same issue while typing on stock sms and/or just typing in general. It doesn't happen all the time but it happens.

Ok, I was reading some posts on XDA, when all of a sudden,it went to my home screen went to the app launcher, scrolled down, went to settings and started going through ****? The really weird thing is that the haptic feedback was going every time something was pressed, as if I were pressing them, including the time it went to the home screen from XDA. I just battery pulled jic. I have lookout, WTF happened?

But you're not the only one. I can confirm this happening to me, no more than twenty mikes ago. I had my phone plugged into my car stereo, and all of a sudden **** just started to go crazy on the screen. It closed the current player, opened up Google Music, then tried to call, opened up Google Voice, and accessed the messenger. And get this, all this was happening while the screen was locked. I'm starting to believe what connerrs wrote just a few post earlier.
LOL, hasn't happened lately, I haven't laughed like that in a while...

I apologize in advance if this question is in the wrong place.
I am on Deck's 11-24 build from IRC and hoping that it fixes the problem I've been having.
Sometimes my phone will go crazy and the screen will start reacting as though some phantom is using it. The screens pan around, random apps will open, random buttons will be pressed, etc. Usually, I have to shut the scree off and wait a few seconds for it to go back to normal. If it isn't that happening, sometimes the screen becomes completely unresponsive.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues.

Like on the xda app trying to scroll down throught the thread and it starts selecting things also I've noticed like wired apps turning on and off .also the flashlight got stuck the other day rebooted the phone and still nothing flash light stayed on even through recoverey had to hard boot .and it went away . I've also noticed if u like watch some thing for a while . And the display stays on for a while the screen makes the phone get really hot .the the screen becomes unresponsive .....keyboard phantom typing etc.can any one else confirm

Dingdingding. Already got one replaced a few months ago but this one is showing symptoms now too. Easy way to know it is happening is to enable show touches in developer options.

Hey all, I have a question for all you out there in XDA land, rezound county. Is there a way to prevent the torch app from timing out when the screen shuts off? It is really annoying, as the toggle and app day it is solo on. I have only encountered this issue on this device. My old T-bolt and Eris before that never had the issue. Is it an ICS/JB thing or device specific?

I tried to play with the code in the android.XML once. I was obviously unsuccessful. One thing i noticed is that it uses the keep screen on command rather than android.permission.wakelock when i changed it the app would force close so i missed something somewhere relating to permissions. I haven't messed with it in awhile but i may try again when i get my new computer

So my screen likes to flicker sometimes when I'm typing on my keyboard (the new Swype keyboard and swiftkey as well).
It only does it sometimes but I've only noticed it happening when typing . What I mean by flickering is that the screen goes darker and then back to normal.
I'm on an aosp rom but it also happened on viper 4g.
I don't have the latest tp firmware.
Soff and hboot 2.09 (or whatever the latest one is)

Preform a clean install if you haven't tried that already. Wipe Cache, Cache/Delvik, System, and Data before flashing.
If you mean that the screen dims, since you explain it as getting light and dark, then I'm not quite sure what to tell you. I've never experienced that issue on any ROM. If you actually mean flicker then I've only experienced that with ROM's of which I also tried a custom kernel. That means you need to up your voltage using a voltage script, kernel tuner, or another app. Usually caused by overclocking.

I see exactly what you're talking about. It happened to me for the first time ever last night, on meanbean, while typing in the address bar. Only happens in the dark for me. Maybe I just don't notice it in the lighter areas. No idea what the deal is with that. Only happens with certain sites, mainly dark sites.

I am having it too. It's extremely annoying. Random things pop up. Sometimes it's Facebook, and I wonder if my face "liked" someone's post. -_-

Not yet, no.
my proximity sensor randomly stops working which causes this to happen. it works again after a reboot.
Yeah, I've had that issue a few times. Some times it'll randomly have my screen turn on while I'm on the phone and I'll face touch all the things.
Same here. It drives me crazy! All too often my face hits the speaker button and about blows my eardrum out!

I havent had this happen. I did hear that the firmware 27 had this problem but they fix it in the 28.something build.

Thought it was just my face being a weirdo but yea it's happened to me a few times. usually a quick reboot fixes it. Though I suspect a background app is to blame when it does happen. Though it rarely does.
