not sure what this was zipped in but I get lots of errors when trying to unzip with 7z or unzip in linux. Here's part of the output from unzip -t:
file #58 (ui/VideoRecord.ogg):
mismatch between local and central GPF bit 11 ("UTF-8"),
continuing with central flag (IsUTF8 = 0)
testing: ui/VideoRecord.ogg OK
file #59 (ui/camera_click.ogg):

file #60 (ui/camera_focus.ogg):

At least one warning-error was detected in Android_4.1_-_Sounds___Ringtones.zip.

The error "mismatch between local and central GPF bit 11" comes actually from Linux-created zipfiles when modified under Windows, for instance by WinZip or WinRar.
It's only a warning, not a true error, though...
Bad bad ringtone

Google it mate. In brief odexed roms are smooth and faster. But if you want to edit/decompile (for development) deodexed roms are good.

Odex files:
Odex file is actually the extracted and optimized DEX file(classes.dex) from APK or JAR files. An ODEX file has dependencies on every file in the BOOTCLASSPATH that is loaded when it is generated. The odex file is only valid when used with these exact BOOTCLASSPATH files. dalvik enforces this by storing a checksum of each file that the odex file is dependent on, and ensuring that the checksum for each file matches when the odex file is loaded. Deodexing:
- the process of reassembling ODEX files in DEX(classes.dex) and place them pack in the respective APK and JAR files.
Android Applications Startup Process :
When an application is started on first use if no ODEX file is found, classes.dex is optimized by the package manager(PM) and saved in /data/dalvik-cache.
Odexed ROMs
In these ROMs you will have ODEX files for most APK and JAR files in /system/framework and /system/app and also the classes.dex in APK and JAR files will be missing.
pros:
Speed up loading as odex is uncompressed and already optimized saves space as no need to put optimized dex in dalvik-cache (already have the ODEX file in /system/framework or /system/app) Hard to hack/decompile as data is separated
cons:
cannot do modifications to apks or jars cannot do theming cannot change BOOTCLASSPATH if system libraries are affected DeOdexed ROMs: In these ROMs you will have classes.dex file in all APK and JAR files.
Deodexed roms
Pros:
can do modifications to apks can do theming can change/add/remove libraries and thus recompile all the current apks with the new implementation
Cons:
slower loading but just the one time when a modification is done or dalvik-cache cleaned(wiped). need to put optimized dex in dalvik-cache easer to decompile an app

Logcats aren't that big, you might want to consider just adding them to your post as attachments If you scroll down you will find the 'manage attachments' option. It's much easier than using external sites.

i fixed rest of proplems but couldnt fix that media recorder thing can u tell me exactly how to compile and recompile? here is the new logcat
1. Remove files from
/system/etc/init.d/*
and add new from other stable rom
2. Dont use any file like libcamera**** and libaudio**** from MiniCM7 or other. Is no work on this rom.
Or just here
1. Grab app, framework and other files needed for JoyOS
2. Ask nAa for use his rom for base
3. Remove from his rom app, framework and other trash
4. Add JoyOS files.
Try boot.

bro you will have to create a new .zip file out of the edited system files.......... and also with META-INF so that it can be flashed via CWM......... There is no way to create an ftf file from this again...............
Better move this general section since it's common to all 2012Xperia devices...

If I extract system.sin only can see the app folder, the others folders are empty, why? How can I get the others folders?
Im missing the files
CERT.RSA
CERT
and the folder COM
in the META-INF FOLDER.
Is this a problem when you flash the rom in to your phone ?

CERT.RSA & CERT aren't important
but you need the /com folder because it contains the updater-script, which tells the ROM how and where to be flashed
so you can't flash a zip unless you have the com folder, you need to download one (it is kinda standard)

Well yes but it would be much recommended if you copy it from a stock flashable Sony firmware ROM (not AOSP based ROM like CM or PAC)

ı see, but the problem is that I am searching for a stock zip flashable firmware. there is none :crying:
thats why I extract the FTF file than extract the system.sin.
I got my Meta-inf folder with only one file inside, got the system folder
but also no boot image? what can I do about that ?
There's no "meta-inf" folder in .sin or .img ROMs as it's a hack used to support permissions (as .zip files don't allow for them) and allow incremental updates where the .zip doesn't contain the whole /system partition
Dear All,
I am new to here so i am making new thread for this issue i am facing
I have Micromax A100 it has one problem is when i click photos from phone and transfer to PC or upload to FB.
Photos turn upside down or we can says reverse image.
So i found onw patch by micromax on their FTP site which called msm7627a_V12_Micromax_A100_V1_08_20120831 it is .rar file and on
phone .rar is not supported so i used PC and extracted it and turned it into .zip and put on root to SD card and start flash by using below steps.
Power + Volume Up key
choose update from external source
select msm7627a_V12_Micromax_A100_V1_08_20120831.zip
but after that one error comes
