Does anyone know if it's possible to get the stock weather widget to display on other launchers (Nova in my case) .
I can't see it amongst the choice of widgets!!!

I can't stand how the Samsung Cal widget starts on Monday. However, it is the only widget that I have found that is 5x5. What do you use?
If you run go launcher they have an awesome calendar widget that is theme-able. Think ICS yo

If you change the pref to Monday and then back to Sunday, the widget will update itself.
I use Business Calendar - on sale in Play for 50 cents.

+1 On the Go Launcher EX calendar widget, works perfectly and looks great at the same time.

I enjoy Pure Calendar. You can skin it many different ways; very customizable.

You're right about this. It worked.
How do I get the stock Samsung Calendar widget onto one of my home screens? Is it even possible to have the calendar as a widget? I don't see the option. I would like it to display the full month.

I believe the stock Samsung Calendar widgets are only available in the stock launcher. If you are using the stock launcher then just add it like any other widget.
Post already answered.

Does anyone happen to have the stock calendar widget? For some reason I lost it along the way of changing roms and using apex launcher.

Do you see the stock application installed in your app drawer? If so, the problem may be that you are not seeing the widget because you are not in the stock touchwiz launcher as that is the only launcher where you can use the stock widgets in. Hope that helps.
Ah, you're probably right... Is there a way to make them work with apex?

I have never seen or heard of anyone doing that with any launcher specific widgets (i.e. go launcher, launcher pro) so I highly doubt it but will continue to look around and post again if i find anything.
The stock aosp calendar is in the Play store and the widget works great. I have it on my Note with Touchwiz

I find this widget selection screen clumsy and ugly in Touchwiz, it's much better in GolacherEX and other launchers.
Anyone know how to make it display widgets list alike, like it was before?

long press home screen, select widgets from menu....job done
Thats exactly how widgets look when i do that, this was like this on SGS3Touchwiz, Galaxy S2 had this list alike widget list, also had mod that same widgets were grouped together.

ah, my bad, I'm using nova launcher which gives the old style list, must be touchwiz way then....change launcher
Nah...first time now i like how stock launcher looks, nova is ugly.

If you need stock TW launcher then I think you need to get used to it. This is how stock ICS launcher handles widgets and apparantly sammy didn't bother changing it.. But I kinda like it.
Lots of things sammy dont think, they should have listen the users more. Nova is ok, Golauncher seems better, but i stick with stock till someone makes new hacked version of this touchwiz.
I really like how stock launcher change pages, havent seen so cool looking on any launchers even they have more options to change it.

I do like TW launcher but what bugs me a lot is the way TW launcher create folder. Samsung choose to use ICS style on the widgets but decided not to use ICS style on adding folder. Doesn't make any sense. :banghead:

Maybe use apex launcher and then choose touchwiz theme as design? Dunno if that fits all your needs though
I use sslauncher and hitting the menu key gives the traditional.Samsung options, like settings / wallpaper and long press the screen gives options for Widgets etc.

Homescreen transition animation will never be the same
And of course the clock widget will be gone. So not fit to my need.

Hey guys
I've been using the S-Planner widget for a while and found this to be pretty comfortable.
Since I'm on the Nova Launcher I simply can't access it now. Seems as if Samsung has built a limitation in there (?)
So my question to the developers in here is the following :
Is it possible anyhow to port this widget so we can install and use it on third-party launchers like Nova Launcher or the GO! Launcher EX?
PS: If this is the wrong section I'd like to ask a mod to move it anywhere desirable.
Thank y'all in advance

This is going to seem like a weird one, but I can't find the stock widget that's used for clock and weather when I use Nova launcher. Anyone have the file or know where to find it? Thanks.

I have two clock widgets when I look at adding a widget to nova, I don't know if one of mine was added by an app or if they are both default nova. If you can tell me where to pull a file from I'd be happy to help. Otherwise I'm not totally sure what you can do. I am still fairly new to this launcher.
Good luck, let me know what I can do to help.
I had the same problem... Ended up just getting Timely and using their widget
Sent from my LG-V500 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
This is an ever-returning problem for all 3rd party Launchers. TouchWiz, Sense and whatever LG is calling their UI all have widgets that are only compatible with their respective launchers. Install all you want, they still wont show up outside of the stock LG Launcher. You can usually find some that look much the same and some times a genious comes along and ports the widgets. You could try heading over to the G2 forums, I suspect there's more life over there, maybe their "Themes and Apps" forum has a ported edition. Who knows.

I did the same thing - use the Timely widget. With Nova I could overlap it with the Yahoo weather widget so that they look like one thing.
My other virtually-the-same-thing clock widget choice is Chronus

I recently tried out "beautiful widgets" which allows clock and weather widgets and I really like it.
