They aren't overly great, would be better to customise it but it's fine for now. You can tell there is more potential after trying the different modes though. I agree with most saying something between standard and natural likely would be better...

I can tell you:
Natural and movie are way too washed out, allmost sepia like......dynamic is way too oversaturated/oversharpened, standard is still oversaturated but looks best to me, but there isnt perfect mode for now

100% agree.
Standard is the best even though it still slightly saturate.
Natural is not natural, it is too dull.
Movie - what the point of this mod, better us black and white phone.
Dynamic like S II time color, way way too saturate.

It's not an LCD screen -- and if anything it looks over saturated not dull.

What video player are you using? Are you using the stock player? If so the stock player has its own brightness control. While a video is playing press menu then select settings, there is a video brightness setting.

After reading the comments was about to suggest this. You beat me to it. Hope it helps the OP.
Anyway, why anyone would use anything other than mx video player is beyond me.

For those who are into photography and especially HDR photography, Trey Ratcliff has made available for free, 1000 of his pictures in full resolution.
Well worth looking at:

Not an oxymoron at all. HDR is just another format of capturing an image... well, at least three images.
I'm new to the nexus 10 but every time I try to save one of these pics and set it as a wallpaper I'm getting a force close error. What am I doing wrong?
I'm on omega v40 and got bad camera quality is there a way to fix it
I hate to say this but first thing, make sure the lens cover is clean! Then check camera settings/resolution& picture quality.
My guess is dirty lens! Been there, done that!

Hi there.
First of all i want to thanx all developers and users who made this device fun to use.
Im here requesting for htc camera to port for our device bcause i miss some featurs of it(because i were htc user) like contrast(contrast is available but for auto contrast only) and saturation which enhances photo.
Thank you in anticipation.
Sorry for bad english.

To enable HDR I just touch somewhere in screen and touch in HDR. To open settings I just touch in settings icon.

Thanks eduds, but I haven´t the HDR option. And the settings icon only brings me some 5 options. What ROM do you use? You have a i9070 or i9070p?

In this last one the ROM is CyanogeMod 10.1.
I have the I9070.
I tried app camerapro which have contrast and saturation option in it. But those options dosent take effect. Maybe some system files like framework needed.
I will still wait for a devs answer that it can be implemented and work on our phone or not. Thanx.

Hi all..
Noob question here.. How to check X-Reality work or not?..
Just tick X-reality then open the picture in gallery?.. I didn't see the different doing that..
Is that mean my X-Reality didn't work out?..
Thanks..

Look at the colors, specifically blues, it blows them out like crazy and they look neon or electric almost. I turn it off, it's not very good.
Also, a screenshot won't show you anything.

I tried the screenshot method. You can see the difference. It saturates colours slightly.
Put a few screenshot tests below.

Wow, that's pretty surprising. They're tweaking the values and not just applying them to the display.
The screen shots also illustrate that it just looks baaaad IMO.

Yeah, I tend to leave it off tbh. The screenshots also differed in size, with the X-reality ones slightly bigger.
I personally think the photos with x-reality on look better, it adds more life to the pictures

I have found x-reality is not working after unlocking BL. I have 2 Z2's ..one (white) with BL unlocked and another (purple) that has nothing done to it. There is a difference. I am curious if anyone has flashed the "x-reality RomAur fw 0.402 zip" of if this just works with that specific rom? I would really like to use my purple Z2 but not wanting to until x-reality gets fixed after unlocking BL. Has anyone flashed this zip?
