It's difference...
W8 has old SEMC Music Player that was included in xperias (x10 x8 and x10mini/pro), but with orange skin and walkman icon.

No, generally it's horrible due to Chinese version, and only differences are in look. No added functionality.
Maybe, just maybe sound quality is a little bit better.
No Google Apps, not even Market -.- and I have problems with upload to Mediafire.
W8 = Modded X8 with walkman inscription on it, and a modded original music app, and changed backround....so...IT SUCKS, they just repainted an X8 and put modded firmware on it...SE, Shame on you

It's exacly same like X8. SE even not change kernel, so no chance.
So, SE just change framework a little bit, and sell X8 as walkman phone.

DuDe, NOBODY was buying X8 anymore, so they had Lots of X8's left...One SE Dev came to the others and said: DUDE, We have so much X8's left and nobody ain't stupid to buy one now, lets change O/S a bit, repaint it and sell it under another name!
I bet the other SE employees were like: Hell yeah, let's do this!

They should unlock bootloader,it is unlockable by changing loader.sin but they thought this way:Someone sad:look this X8 is sell is very good lets make new series like x8.
and this is why there are three more models of x8 xperia mini and pro new and W8 walkman

This shouldn't be removed as it is free with the HTC phone and it is just like the gingerbread phone dialer stuff...so there is nothing wrong with this.. Just use it and find out if its any good I will try it

Don't ever try it! It will cause a tremendous failure...as long as I know, CM nor AOKP can use Sony's timescape. I got a bootloop, the second thime I flashed it, when the phone turned on got a massive amount of stopped app messages :crying:

I own a SE LWW. It is rooted with a locked boot loader on ICS with the build number .587. Can anyone link to a working version of the Xperia NXT version of Walkman app with the Clearbass and etc?
I have tried ThilanaC's one but I see no change. I flashed it through CWM and thn rebooted it and then moved the audio effects file but still it didn't change.
Any help?

my advice, get the normal walkman, the ones with so called "sound enhancements" are not really enhancing the sound.
if you want better sound, buy better headphones/earphones. really, the default player is good if your hardware is good

No, I actually didn't go for the ones with the fancy names or features. I just want the stock Walkman app from the Xperia NXT series.

What launcher do you use? I use z1 launcher and doesn't work that's for sure. I am on XperianZe ROM.

Im just a music freak.I love wat comes out of my earpiece.And love to get lost in some lovely beats.For me thousands option is waste unless you have a good and crispy sound coming out.I mean only the quality of sound it produces.
Hope you will add this walkman in UHD 6.

Walkman widget doesn't work on honami home launcher, it sets on the left top corner and home launcher fcs after ttaking it.
Walkman fcs with the Xperia z1 framework v3.0.0 (in this thread).

You can use widget for launcher from any ICS rom who has xperia z walkman and launcher. Just put in in system and give permissions. Just combine semc music from Eagleboy and widget from other roms and will be ok.
