I have it if I also: Llorando:: Llorando:: Llorando:: Llorando:

Autofocus cameras have a bunch of components inside of them. Since there are components in there that have to move back and forth, you are hearing that part inside the camera getting jostled around. Quit being mean to your camera!

Black dots on camera and pictures

Hey,
I noticed today I have some black dots on my camera and they appear on pictures too...
What can I do to fix this problem?

I think you have dirt under it on the camera lense, or its a scratched camera lense.
Or
Do do you see these on the screen too even when not using the camera?

You could try to wipe off the lens. I use a lint free cloth that came with my sunglasses... or my T-shirt when I'm in a jam.
I normally don't see those spots on my screen. And if I look at the lense it doesn't look scratched...
I cleaned it with a peace of cloth and the spots are still there....
Is there a way to open the camera or something?

Then its on the inside of the lense. You need to probably need to google the lense issue since guides are all over the place. If I come across one, I will let you know since I am curious too.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I can only find guides for other phones... Is the process the same?

Don't know. I personally have never modded a camera before.

You could check out iFixit.com They have a tear down tutorial for the Atrix. From what I can tell, the camera is a solid piece which is soldered to the ribbon. If the dirt is on the inside of the lens itself, you may need to replace it.

If it's the front camera, check out this thread.

Hey seipsje,
Bringing this old thread up as I am facing a similar issue with my Photon 4g. But in my case, its just a single black dot.
Check this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403912
I had 1 question, I dunno what up with your phone atm, but do you remember, when you zoomed in, did the black dots change their positions?

Banding...... issue

What is this banding people complain about about? I've had my Note for a month now and I haven't been seen in any.

If the opening flash(brown gradient) on your "XDA premium" has diagonal stripes, you have the problem, I guess.

Not a hardware issue. It's fixed in ICS.

Loose parts

So when I shake my phone, tap the top of it with my finger or when it vibrates in some angle, I can actually hear that something is loose (maybe the speaker). When I shake or tap the phone I can hear some sort of ticking noise and when it vibrates I can hear something vibrate with it.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Most likely the camera lens. It's common the focusing lens rattles a little. Have done so on most of my phones with cameras.

So.. anyone else?

I know the power button/volume rocker can be a little loose

I haven't received the SIII yet, but smartphone cameras will rattle. If it wasn't able to move it wouldn't be able to focus.

From experience, I'd advise to return goods as soon as a fault(s) develop. The retailer is more likely to accept the goods back, and you often have more consumer rights and an easier chance of enforcing those rights the less time has lapsed between sale and returning.
only lucky person have this. you are lucky because you can meet samsung service center. return your phone.
Mine does the same when I shake it back and forward, if I shake left to right it doesn't happen, as already been said I think is the camera lenses to be able to focus.
So I don't think you need to return your phone.

Ask Samsung ...
To those who think their S3's should rattle. Please ask Samsung if the S3 should rattle. You can do this on such things as their Facebook support pages. Update the thread with Samsung's response(s) pls.
I know the S3 can be a phone, internet browser, camera, etc, but rattle is not one of the features they have announced afaik
My S3 isn't rattling, but my power button dosen't have the click/tick sound anymore when i click on it, like the volume rocker has
Eh it should be the camera auto focus. My iphone 4s, htc one x and galaxy s3 did it when I had it. My only phone that doesn't is my bold 9900 because it doesn't have auto focus.

Doesn't explain why some S3's have it and others don't.
For perspective, mine rattles when I tap the top third of the screen in normal usage, clicking links, wifi toggles etc.
Definitely the camera, definitely annoying. Deciding if it's worth the risk to have it replaced..

[Q] Why does my camera suck?

My camera is terrible. The pictures are always grainy and such. When you look at the camera lense, there is some sort of film over it and i can not get it off... Any ideas?

Cm9.1 stable.
Have you gone into settings and adjusted anything? I was on ics for about a week, don't remember your options.I'd make all the settings the highest they can go. Try a better camera app from the market.

No. I run Cm9.1. The warranty is void.
They won't know if you return. To stock unroot we don't check at my store.

There IS a film on it. Only some notes have them. My gf got hers at best buy, same as me. Hers black, mine white. Hers had the film over the camera lens, mine didn't.

GS4 bugs?

Does anyone know how to fix either of these bugs? I can't figure out the camera one at all. Maybe it's hardware?

The streaks across the screen are probably hardware.
There's multiple threads about the security warning popup. Apparently this is a bug that Samsung knows about.
