Well title says alot. My neo has a burned in statusbar. It is visible in grey and white and black background colors. Someone also has this?
And does this fall under warranty? It is quite annoying since it can be seen quite good

thats a no? but im going to ask sony anyways it is kinda funny that the burn in is not really staying long. When not using my phone (switched off) for a day my burn in is almost gone. But when i use it 1 hour or so i see the time, battery and icons burn in
As for me. I am not saying that I'm right, but this is my opinion regarding on this matter. I work in a TFT-LCD company in taiwan for 3yrs and I assigned in burn-in processes which is you will keep the LCD panel to the machine with a temp of 50-60 degrees celsius. on this kinda heat all the LCD even the 32"-40" or bigger will notice a burn Cristal Liquid. as what we are discussing for.
but it will gone in a min. if the panel will become cold. I ask this before to the Higher class that this is because of the metal plate that produce to much heat.
because when a metal put to a 30deg. it is shurely get 5% more degrees. i don't know exactly the explanation but this is what they told me.
So, This phone we have has a CPU on the top near to the camera. and it coming heat, when using in games or heavy use. and the LCD has a metal plate on side to protect it. when heat process it flow on that metal and you will see that result.
In my work before, I also notice that more than 24HR of burning process in LCD will affect that Burn Cristal liquid. and you will see that it will not remove for long life...
hope you understand it. or disregard it if you are not interested.
Why don't you search before posting?

I have 3 galaxy s3 here today, white. When i look at it in bright light on the back cover its a pattern in the plastic, it looks like a oily map, holograms or something like rainbow colors reflecting in patterns.
Can anyone else check the back cover under a lamp ?
Pic or it didnt happen
Written in bad english with my HTC Desire S
Description sounds consistent with the defective blue back covers. Pics would be nice.

I tried to take pickture but its impossible to get it visible on my iphone 4s camera.
Looks like its between the hyperglaze and the plastic.
I can confirm in any light, including torch shining on it, what you are experiencing is not present on mine. Get them to send you a new back cover (and pray they don't send you blue )

My white version has this exact same thing but it needs just the right light to see it. I don't think its a flaw.

I have it as well, so everyone has it and how it is flaw ? I think they should have printed galaxy SIII on the back cover as well. Not having it makes the phone look generic
So what revision is your back covers? Mine is 2nd v3 whatever that means.

Same here! I don't mind even if it is a flaw since I don't ever look at the backside. Plus, you have look at it very closely to notice!
Besides, most people endbup getting cases eventually

I think its just the hyper glazing stuff. Ive seen similar looks in other products too.
My only issue with the phone is the brightness level. Other than that i`m well happy.
This is coming from a Galaxy Nexus too.

So I left my precious Galaxy Note on the back on my dads truck, the car that he will only drive 10% of the time, and then today he drives it. I go out to get my phone and realize he took the truck. I was like "OHHHHHHH *swear words*!!!!!!!!!"
I went out and looked for it and found it on the side of the rode face down with the screen protector off. I had a simple flip case on it, but I wasn't able to find that.
I am ultra sad right now, but there is a lot of hope.
A strange thing is that the battery was still in it and the back of the phone had absolutly no scratches on it.
I turned it on and I could hear little startup sounds like the new gmail message one
So I guess that is good, but I still have this broken screen .
So the reason I am posting this is because I want to know if I can get it fixed with a kit or something. I am assuming I have to get the LCD and polarizer because the screen is cracked into little bits as the picture showed, and I can pick out each of those bits pretty much.
So much for gorilla glass
Gorilla glass is not for a phone dropping off a moving car....
Also p.m. me I have a spare backing for the note brand new

wait, you left the phone on the back of his truck.....you say that like its normal like one would put it on their dresser or something. So you normally leave your phone in the garage on a vehicle?
Looks like someone ran over it. too many impact points on the glass from pressure applied, rather than the initial smack on the ground.

Do you play a lot of games or hold the device in landscape often?
I'm just spit-balling here, but.. could be oil from your palm penetrating the stock screen protector? or between stock and your screen protector?
Maybe it was there from the start but I never noticed it. Haven't played any games on it or had my finger there.
I really wonder what it is and why you can only see it when breathing on it, when I wipe it clean its really hard to see.
How easy is it to remove the ASF?

I would think it is the coating on the screen protector as well.
As for removing the stock protector, it can be done but by all accounts you will feel like committing suicide halfway through. there is a guide somewhere on here
Well, the thread can be closed because I destroyed the phone :good:
Time to get a new one and put on a screenprotector asap.

Good to know you also have it though, so that I wont be bothered on the new unit

If I uderstand correctly, your screen is damaged due to overheating. You have a yellow tint when a white background is presented? And the location of the spot may indicate thet your device was used while it was charging and that it may be charged incorrectly. This is a common issue with LCD displays that overheat too much for various reasons and it's inseparable I'm afraid. Only display change can solve your yellow spot.
Im not using my phone while charging..but the yellow spot appears when i use my phone in the swimming pool while taking 4kvideos underwater....sorry for my bad english guys

Does the "spot" go away when the device is not in use? When you use it normally do you have that spot on the screen? Does it happen when recording in 1080p? Does it happen only in water?

According to the picture you have posted this is the heat damage on your display. Unfortunately this cannot be fixed, you can only replace the display or use it as is.
Thanks for the answers guys i have question if they replace the screen it will still waterproof or not

This depends on replacment parts and the skill of the servicer. From my experience its important to use quality glue and clean off the old glue residue. I have repaired Z1 compact myself at my home and used silicone glue and the phone was waterproof after the repair, front and back glass replaced. Ask around and ask the service guys are they able to maintain the waterproofness of the device first.
Me too have it

Bought a used Xperia Z2 today. Having owned 2 in the past, it was very stupid of me not to check it throughly, anyway I paid the guy and went home.
It was on 5.1.1, so as I was setting it up, I lowered the brightness a bit, and immediately the bottom of the screen started flickering, it also showed weird multi colored lines and it only happens when the phone is NOT on full brightness.
Even if I adjust the brightness slightly less than full, it starts flickering again.
This is the phone at full brightness.
