Return it lol. As the above poster said, it's a hardware fault, nothing you can do about it.
If you see that line even when booting up your GS III then i guess its a hardware issue.

No they will not cover it as in ur 1st post u stated you exchanged housing.
So for what ever reason housing was damaged or wrong color all was working fine untill the fast hands of oneself?
Gavin take appart aand refit this way your checking over all connections.
I did.. The new housing looks like original so doubt it they can see any difference

Any modifications carried out by non-Samsung authorised repair people (or anyone else for that matter) voids your warranty.
Basically you're asking a question only Samsung can answer. Soooo...You're going to have to roll the dice & send it in for warranty service & see what happens. Or have it repaired by someone other than Samsung.
Being a betting man, I'd say you'll be paying for the repairs either way.

They would have to be blind or dump not to see any difference since the original handsets have a label (battery space) with fone details on it....
But if you explain to them its better you pay Sammy to fix your fone then paying out for a brand new one...
That sticker is on the new one took it off the old one and put on the new.. Its a guinine cover

At the end of the day, you're not going to find the answer to your question by posting on here.
You're only going to find out by asking Samsung to fix your phone....Soooo....How bout you do exactly that & let us know how you go ?
Ok if they wont repair il by a new screen on ebay for 120e and do it
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium App
try sending to samsung said you have no idea what happen
U been sarcastic ha
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium App
you'd be better off buying another screen and replacing it yourself TBH

Alright guys so here's the story. My friend gave me his galaxy s to put a custom rom on (cm9) he got me to do it because his galaxy s froze and was quite laggy on froyo. He doesn't know anything about how Any of this works though so he got me to do it.
Everything went perfect but he is telling me that it keeps turning off and cant be turned on without a battery pull. So basically SOD....
It just dawned on me today while I was under volting that maybe voltage was the reason for all of this. All processors are made different and maybe his was power hungry. Cause if it doesn't get right voltage, it freezes. (Just like mine with to much undervolt). That explains stock freezes??. And now on cm9, with deep idle, we get SOD instead. So I am thinking of raising the 100mhz and 200mhz voltages to fix it.
But I want to cover ALL my bases cause it isn't my phone and is pretty bad, so I want to know if you think that will fix it and what else i can do to ensure it doesn't happen again.

The same thing for me, some times the phone take all night long to charge 5%, and the phone don't charge, I got to switch between different charger, HTC Apple Samsung etc... It's very difficult, but I think it's the battery, it's just a simple supposition.

Try blowing some compressed air into the micro usb, could be something in there, if it's not charging at all it will be hardware related.
Another thing will be to check another battery iy could be the battery has failed for some reason, if none of those work flash stock and run triangle away to reset flash counter and it's off to a service center because it could be physical damage to the micro usb.

I had a very weird problem!
After 3 months without any bug on my S3 I started to have very long GPS fix time (about 15 minutes) and some times non fixing issue...
I Tryed everything since change rom, give some punches, replace the battery, change kernels, etc...
Suddenly and by chance I figured out that the new case a friend gave to me was blocking the signal!!
What the hell!!!!
I have been using many kind of cases including thick rubber one and only this innocent and thin one caused it!!!
Hope it can help someone.

Nastiest aspect is, that when using the phone now against your head listening.
The radio waves are directed towards your head trying to escape!
This should be a health issue too. More of a reason to use the headset now
