It'd be nice if either actually disabled bbcode when you unchecked that option (i.e.: I'm tired of people telling me not to use
Code:
and [quote] tags cuz it's too much scrolling for them in tapatalk/xda, the app developers should fix their apps).

In the xda or tapatalk app blocks like code blocks are presented on the screen as normal text, imagine if someone were to paste the adb logcat or dmesg output into a code block. On a normal browser said block would show in a box that scrolls, in box the xda and tapatalk app it shows the same as the rest of the post and can be quite long.
Even un checking the BBcode option does not hide such blocks, and often times I'm *****ed at for my "long posts" by users viewing via the apps.

Both are same!
XDA app is actually re-branded version of Tapatalk.
The only difference other than branding: Tapatalk supports multiple forums, but XDA app doesn't.
But for me .. I cant upload images through XDA app ..
I am so sorry if this not the right thread to post but my post is related with xda app.
From last two days my app has started acting weird , instead of going back to the previous page it closedms it self when i press the back button :/

Does anyone know how to change the Lockscreen shortcuts? May I'm blind but I haven't been able to find it. I don't need a chat-on icon for a shortcut.

When you are in the lockscreen settings, click on the word shortcuts. That should let you edit them.

And this is the third thread created about this... Xda should have a system like.. When you create a thread.. Before its posted it will automatically search for keywords in the text somehow and bring you some alternative to cancel the post due to finding the answer from forced search or still create the thread

There's a good vB mod that does just that. Maybe the admins would consider installing it.
Uhhh, there is one already installed here and it does exactly that. The problem is, is that people ignore it.

I have been running the latest version of the Premium XDA app and lately pictures are not loading in most threads. Sometimes 1 or 2 pictures will load, but usually none.
Also, while on the topic of the app, what happened to the option to show the first post when viewing a thread? I have selected the option "show oldest post" but it does not work, still shows the last unread post.

Nobody else is experiencing either of these problems?

As per the above thread, we have a dedicated XDA App thread.
Thread closed.
This is just my new idea for app with great use and I'm just beginner not good enough to make it.
So, my idea is: Use some ambilight screen analyzer to make signal that would normally go to ambilight LED lamp, BUT it would go directly to android phone (with installed special app) connected to PC (with ADB drivers if needed). So shorter, I want to use phone's screen as that LED lamp.
Sorry for writing to this thread, I wanted to post it on software development, but I have not posted anything yet.
What is ambilight could you please tell???

Hmm saw the video
An app for this can be easily build
But to get the colors for display ain't no peice of cake I may also add that a phone cannot recreate such an effect due to its hardware limitations and size

1)I agree, about the colour source, but I would aim to translation of software already made.I'm sure it's much easier to translate signal than create new software for game analysis.
2)in dark room phone's screen could light it very well

IS it an open source project?
Well even if it is we can't use other people's hard work for our benefit and I'm sure that they won't allow us to mod their codes

I saw the site and I don't think there gonna give you the sources but there's no harm trying it if you get the sources then i could help
I would only help if you get these sources by requesting them and not downloading over torrents
and if you're planning to monetize with it I ain't gonna help you.
If its just for fun then I will help

I bought g2 the next day it came out, and did not know this vutalk feature existed until yesterday while playing around with both of my and my girlfriend's g2.
Now we doodle around with this thing whenever we get a chance and me like it ;p
But the sad thing is i dont have any other people on my contact list that i can vutalk with except my girlfriend...
Anyone use this at all?

To disable it (and you can do this without root) go into settings - general - apps - all and scroll all the way down to the bottom. You will find vutalk there. Press on it and disable it. And yes it will remain disabled even after reboot.

We are getting off-topic...but, i'll answer
Viber needs only a few KB/s (or MBs for calls) . Other apps need more ( i don't use and don't know about what's up)
It doesn't need an account. (for hangouts you need to have your friends gmail / fb needs ...fb accounts )
And you can do some funny staff. Draw/emoticons/sound clip
So title says it all....is there anyway to disable the soft buttons? I give my phone to my boy so he can watch videos and movies but he hits a button every time. Not sure if there is a hack to disable them since I have pie or on screen soft buttons to use.

Two options that work good in my opinion.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoodles.kidmode
Kid lets you block access to apps selectively. So no web browser or play store from angry birds etc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.kidslock
And if you are using mx player for movies, then lock them into the app with this plug in.
Good luck, kids are much smarter than they appear with these devices!
