Hello,
I've been using the open Europe firmware released by Samsung. Now I'm on LFB, but i noticed that whenever i try to wifi tether other devices it doesn't work. i would still see the H symbol (no H+) and none of the devices get internet. Once i turn off wifi hotspot, i have internet again.
I have done the factory reset, and reinstalled this firmware. Please help me!

Good day everyone. I have been using my samsung vibrant for weeks now with no problem. i noticed today that i couldnt connect to the internet through my stock browser. so also apps like the xda app and facebook book app will not connect to the internet, while my internet indicator is showing connected (both 2g and 3g).It keeps displaying ""nodes for the connection is not available" on the browser. However, at the same time i have able to connecting and use other apps like ebuddy, yahoomail e.t.c. My vibrant is unlocked and purchased from the US but presently using it in nigeria. My APN settings is still the same way since i started using it and my service provider, MTN, says all is well with my connection. This has occurred three times today... each time i had to switch off and back on, or turn on and off the flight mode for it to work sometimes.
Please, any help on how to resolve this?
Apparently our phones lose data connection when they switch from 2g to 3g or vice versa. To prevent it from happening at all go to settings -> wireless and network -> mobile network -> network mode -> and set it to gsm only to lock it on 2g OR wcdma only to lock it on 3g.
Thanks reform. I have tried choosing only 2g and even tried choosing only 3g...but the problem still persist. I had to turn my phone off and On severally for me to have my internet network back now. Is there any other way I can resolve this?

Hello everyone. Please can someone help me with this problem? I have tried everything possible but the phone kept cutting off my internet connection, but only for my browser, Facebook and xda app. Each time it displays 'node not available for this request' it actually deducted from my data plan but not connecting me. Any help please?

I was wondering if anyone might know how to fix this. The problem seems to be that when I am connected to the carrier's network (AT&T) and have wifi on at the same time it still just uses the cell connection. I have an app that I have set to only download data via wifi (dogcatcher) and if I have both connected it won't download anything because it doesn't see itself connected to the wifi, but if I go into airplane mode and turn wifi on it works just fine.

Hi,
I upgraded my Xperia S to ICS 4.0.4 using PC connection.
Now it is not connecting to wi-fi.
Wi-fi strength keeps flapping between poor & excellent.
Sometime I get authentication error.
I even tried reconfiguring wi-fi but its still not connecting.
Pls. help.
Thanks
Same here....
Mine connects, but the signal has deteriorated dramatically
+1
Signal is shocking, and my mobile network dies regularly: like, Emergency Calls Only.

If you unlocked the bootloader
You can also try a custom kernel like:

Hi,
I've searched a lot over the past couple of months but haven't find an answer to my problem.
When I connect to public open wifi networks that have a landing page, phone would automatically disconnect and display a notification saying "Sign-in is required. Network disconnected". This only happens if I turn the wifi on and let it scan and connect automatically. If I manually connect to any such network it'll automatically bring up the landing page instead.
I have disabled network quality check in the settings, but that doesn't solve this problem. I also installed the new firmware with a full wipe and cleared wifi hotspots a couple of times (TB).
Anyone else has had this issue and knows how to solve it?
Thanks a lot!
