Hello folks,
I have an issue here.
I'm syncing with Exchange using the built in mail client on the Sprint S3.
When I look at my sub folders, it shows the total number of items, and not the unread count.
Same does not apply to the inbox which is the setting I'm after.
Can anyone help me out in fixing this?
Thanks!
Anyone? Bump!

Hi,
Recently I installed IMAP access to my GMail. The service is very fast, but all my emails are blank apart Header (Title) and attachments. I know that there was a bug with the IMAP service of GMail, but is now reported as resolved.
Unfortunately ALL emails are blank, not just the HTML ones. This happens also with POP access, not only GMail, but with other Email accounts too. Practically I don't see how I can resolve this. I have searched the net and this site and still cannot find a clue. Of course the option is set to download entire messages, not just the headers.
Any ideas? Do you suspect some conflict with an installed application?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've looked all over, but I can't seem to find much info about NOT being able to send Calendar invites from the Stock Calendar and E-mail app. My calendar is updating, but I cannot send invites. (rather the invite never gets sent)
I came across something saying I need to send the calendar entry as an attachment, but I don't exactly know how.
Crazy thng is, when I add people, they show up in the calendar as being invited, but the invite never gets received by them.
Any help? I know I can use Touchdown and Roadsync, but I don't think I should have to pay 20 dollars to do something that most devices can do for free.....Just my opinion though.
The attachment is an .ICS file, which has all the calendar details and recipients names inside. Calendar generates it, but email sends it.
I don't use that App, but if you don't have Outlook, then Exchange is supposed to perform that task via Touchdown. Check your Touchdown config.
I know touchdown works....and I know its a .ics file. there's an option to add guests to the event entry, but once saved it doesn't send the invite/meeting request.
Are you saying that a 20 dollar app is the only fix?

Hello,
I just got the atrix 2 days ago and I love it so far. However, I've been having some problems with my gmail account. I've seen numerous people post their screenshots here, and many of them have the gmail icon at the bottom of their screens with the number of unread emails they currently have. How exactly do you get the number of unread emails to show up? My phone just shows the Gmail icon.
Thanks for any help fellas!

Is anyone else having this problem?
Using the samsung email app .In the email settings for the account I have set the "Recent Messages" to 25 (the same thing happens if I set it to any other number except "total").* When I receive a new email & delete it, the 26th email moves back up to 25th & the mail app brings it in as a new unread email again. My htc desire allowed me to set it by number of days old, but I don't see this as an option on the S3.**I really don't want to set it to "Total" & have every email that I've ever received but haven't deleted show up on my*phone.
It's driving me nuts.
Thanks
It's happening on my mate's s3 too. Anyone else?
Is it deleted on your email account as well? I had this issue when I got my S3, too.
There's an option within the mail app, where you can toggle to delete those mails from your email account, when you delete them inside the app.
The default setting on my S3 was, that it's only deleted inside the app, but not from my mail.
I hope this helps.

S4 Old Emails Return, Sync
Hello,
I have seen that many, many folks are having problems with this. Posts all over the place on android central and many other places.
I have had this problem intermittently over time and have tried different things.
In the past, I just deleted the old emails and typically no more problem for some time.
Recently the problem returned.
Deleting the old emails did not get rid of them. Essentially, you see emails pop up as new at the bottom of your S4 android email box. They are old emails.
I tried the following.
Deleting old emails, older emails just show up as new, unread.
Deleting the actual emails in your box is not good if you want to keep them. If you use this method you'd have to delete them all. I don't want this.
Delete all emails from your pop3 email and set your android mail to delete from server. I don't want this. I want to keep them on the server. I should be able to.
Set the android email to 25, didn't help. Set the android email to total and then delete or move them to trash, didn't help.
Delete and reconfigure the email box. Didn't work.
I am currently trying a fix for my comcast email I have always used pop3 style setup on the stock android email setup. Today I deleted my email box and reconfigured it as IMAP and set the security as SSL. It seems to work, but I will repost if it doesn't . Setting to TSL, the mail wouldn't load. Setting to no security with IMAP, wouldn't load an email. SSL seems to be the only way.
Good luck!
I have been running two exchange accounts from two different servers ..one personal the other business. I noticed that one account would delete all the text after the first few lines of an email after I replied to that email. the full text was in the original email but after replying and opening the emails again is when text is missing
The second issue is that the email deleting text shows a nice blue or green icon showing which emailed where replied to, the other account doesn't lost this feature.
Obviously this is painful.
I deleted one account and reinstalled it as Imap instead of exchange and that seemed to fix both problems......
Any ideas or anyone else with the problem.
