How do i disable this stupid warning? I just want it to do the programmed task without confirmation.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app

Probably could get it to trigger a tasker command and that might be able to do it without confirm. I just bought tasker so I don't know how to do much yet.. but research is all that is needed,

Wow, I literally posted almost this exact question a minute before you did. This really bothers me too.

Yeah i saw that afterwards. Sorry lol. It is so irritating.

I answered this question in the another post, also remember overwrite and not add commands. Adding more command(s) will still trigger the first/annoying one.

[Q] How Can I Move App Data When Not Rooted?

I feel like I should know this, but then I always have root on my phone.
Is it even possible to move app data from a rooted phone to a non rooted phone?
try this :https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.appbackup&feature=search_result
i think it doesn´t need root

Read the app description. It says it doesn't back up app data or settings. It just backs up the .apk file, for installing. That's why it doesn't require root.
OP, sorry. In order to back up and restore app data, you need root. Root is required to access the /data partition, which is where app data resides.
Wow, that's a pretty good bump
Cheers though.

Holy smokes. Going through his post history, he's revived about a dozen posts about a year old.
Tuner420, you need to stop that. Look at the last post date before replying to a post, dude. If the post is that old, chances are the question has been answered elsewhere, or the OP probably no longer cares.

[Q] picture shows up as video

So I couldn't find a solution to my problem, when I receive a picture it shows as a video. I'm running unnamed. Is there a mod or something to fix this?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using xda premium
I have the same problem.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
the only real fix to this is to use a different SMS/MMS app. i prefer GOSMS Pro, over anything else.
its just the way the stock messaging app works, only way around it is through a third party app.
Go SMS Pro is much better then the stock sms/mms app
Holy crap! I just answered this very same question in another thread maybe 5 threads above this. How many times is this going to be asked? I'm too lazy to check which thread was first and I will admit that the XDA search feature is a bit annoying to use, but for FFS! Now I see why the older members are always *****ing.
That said, I will add substance to this post. I just switched to Go SMS Pro this morning and have to second the suggestion for it. It has been working fine for MMS and they come across just as expected.
Thanks for your opinion but its not an answer but just a work around. Thanks

You're right. It's not an answer. If you don't like the stock messaging app, complain to Samsung
Sent from my HTC PH39100
No I think I would rather complain here so that devs can do something about it. Thanks though

yeah, that will get you FAR....
you could try REQUESTING it, but complaining about it will get you pretty close to nowhere.
try being nice to a dev and not be a ****.
Because your reply was so helpful? "oh u don't like your phone go tell SAMSUNG and my answer is the only solution srry " Try not being a **** first.

cool story bro.
how long before this thread gets shut down now?
Ugh, another one of these threads? Thats what the search button is there for. The stock messaging app from Samsung uses the video viewer to view all multimedia, so that includes pictures. If you want pictures to come up in the gallery, I suggest you replace the Samsung MMS.apk with the AOSP MMS.apk.
Also, calling people a **** for telling you what to do or look for (while it may not be the answer that you were looking for) is not the way to get anything around here... and it will get you an infraction/ban if kept up.
Thread closed.

[Q] Did i go blind, where's the search button?

It could be just my pc trying to fool me but i cant find the search button anymore
logged in at xda and searched trough sgsII threads but nowhere to be found
so is this just me or is anybody else missing the search function to.
i think i saw an error message earlier saying that they were updating the search function. i dont have it either.
SOPA took it
I think they just removed it because nobody was using it.
People just prefer to start a new thread about things that have already been answered a million times.
What's the use they said?? Let's get rid of it.

Seriously, just some site maintenance. I'm having issues with the XDA app too, but expect it's related.

[Q] Why isn't phone announcing callers?

I noticed today that my SGSII no longer tells me who's calling. I don't know when it stopped doing it so I can't trace it back to something I did or installed. I know it was doing it, but not what app or process is responsible for it or why it no longer does. I remember there was a setting choice on whether to do this, but I can't find it nor did I turn it off. I'm guessing maybe Juice Defender or some other app may be inhibiting it. Any clues?
Do you mean callerid? CityID does that, but i think it is trial or something. Try TrueCaller, it is free from their website.

What Happened to thread about the guy who had some weird S3 bought from Dubai?

Was following the above topic thread now my comment along with the whole thread has disappeared. Can someone tell what the hell happened in the END????
Fake until proven. Closed and hidden
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
yeah me to I was following. how was it proven to be fake?
i mean like the phone was fake? or the pictures were fake? or he edited his phone to make it like that?
Non compliance from OP so until he has concrete evidence.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I thought he said he was sleeping and would do it this morning. The mod said said he was waiting for evidence or he would close and delete it. I hope its just hidden. I really hope it's authentic then he can trade it for the exynos sources, but he did say something about them asking for his address. If he's not careful they may trace him and mess him up like that iPhone 4 guy.
But this is if, and i repeat if he was being honest.

Does believing him change your life? If it is true it's something worth discussing. If it's a lie then oh well.
Yeah yeah they won't give the sources but at least he should demand a bigger reward.

I agree. There are tons of same repetitive threads which are closed but still kept open to public so how come it's hidden now? At least we could have kept a look out for any further development.
NO news about this?
it's pretty simple......if the thread doesn't reappear then it was, more than likely a hoax......however.......just for you Mulder and Scully types consider this........What if people higher up in xda wanted to keep this to themselves, if it was genuine, to add a bit of leverage to a "certain" cause?................
There, that should keep the gossip hungry amongst you busy for a bit
