Hello
I have a problem regarding my software update on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, I did all steps regarding this PC Companion application for updates, a last step when i tried to turn on my phone, it is constantly showing logos of Sony and Xperia, I wait for a several minutes because it is saying that process of turning on is process which lasts several minutes, but now more than our passed, just that logos are happening...
Thank you in advance...
It sounds as if you are in bootloop, best advice is head over to the arc forum and look in the general stickies here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18997655
a post with listed stock roms, you will need to use a program called flashtools to send the ftf file to phone. Flashtools is in the development section again in the stickies.
Go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12223467
Once installed and phone is able to connect to computer you need to put Phone the phone in flash mode you can then flash the stock rom you want.
In the arc forum there are plenty of guides of the steps you need to do. Also each post will have steps to do.
Hope this helps.

Hey GUYS please HELP ME
I have followed the Guide to root the xperia x10 in this forrum. So here is what happened. After completing step 3, it all went fine but then the thread says I have to install the Market fix for X10i users. After done that, my phone restart and it won't let me to go inside. It has a weird picture.
Anyway, can you guys please tell me to unroot or whatever to gain the access to the phone again? I tried the phone repair from PC suit to flash the x10 but it doesn't work anymore.
PLEASE HELP ME ...
we have the same problem mate pls. help us.....
c'mon xDA Developers!!!!!!!!!!! My phone is now relying on you guys
Reflash your phone using the flash unbrick tool and redo rooting steps
Just re-root from step 1 and your fone will be fine.
The PC com cannot work anymore cuz your region does not support FW update higher than 023. If you finish step 2, your fone FW ver is 023 already.
NO it's not that Simple. If I was able to flash back my device then I wouldn't post this thread. Please look at my pictures that were attached. In the CMD window, it says Unable to open channel, Getlasterror= 0"
I think there is no way to get inside the phone ....
Check if i did anything wrong
Ok HERE Is what I did (Refer to the pictures)

Why Can't u stop all the useless posts? If I was able to find them then I wouldn't post this thread here. Im sure that U just say that but in fact u don't know anything mate
Please re-check your device ID and make sure its right in your DeviceID.txt file. If it is wrong then you will get a device not found error. Remember it will change everytime you change USB slots.
Check your Device Id if you have more than one!LOL Fate was faster!
Have you tried it with Omnius?
THE PROBLEM IS NOT FROM ANY OF THAT... AFTER RESTARTING MY PC and UNINSTALL THE PC COM and PC SUITE... IT WORKS !!!
Thanks guys!! Helping me alot...
mine is going back to 023 now...the solution is i rooted my phone on my other computer and the device id is completely different when i first rooted my phone on my other computer.....thanks for the help mates....
recovery
Hi,
just wanted to let you know it turned me onto a path that helped me get my " Stuck on Sony Ericsson" screen: i work with Linux and i had to use PC compnion to restore the phone which worked!!!!!!!! now reinstalling another custom rom.........the Dark Edition HD is the one that (nearly) bricked mine so , no, not that one
thanks again.........
Reflash with Seus? Pc companion
Just a Question to increase my knowledge. Why do people use that old methods to root x10's ? Why not use simple ON CLICK in app called Flashtool ? I've used that method many times and it's fastest, safest possible way to root, flash ROM's etc ? am I missing something ?
This thread should be in the q&a section

For that screen, I'd recommend either using seus to repair your phone first, then if that didn't work, try downloading the flash tool and DoomLord's prerooted recovery image or stock firmware in the. Ftf file type and flashing those via flash tool. That should help somewhat but if you can't get anything after that then take it back to the store. the moment you can get it to boot to the kernel screen, you're fine since you can just wipe and install a new ROM. Best of luck! Tell me how it turns out!! :-D

Hey, today i tryed to root my phone. It all looked good untill when the rooting was done.
Then i first saw the NTT docomo and after that my screen have just been black.
I can see that the background light is on and i can connect it to the pc in flash mode. But SEUS just tells me that it already has the latest firmware and wont update it so i can get it working again.
Someone please help me with this?
if it is detected by SEUS do a repair/restore ..
and next time don't try to root it before you :
- read the root methods and understand it
- learn how to post in the right section
- learn to provide enough info so that we can help you in an effective way.
If i understand good, your phone went blank black but seus recognises your phone.just tick on install even when seus said your phone is up-to-date or better with pc-companion

Did you get this working after a shut-down / re-start? I have the SO-01B and sometimes mine goes black too. Usually waiting or hitting the center key or re-booting fixes this.
hello
everything is done in accordance with the instructions and it gives me the box "reconnect the phone's internal memory," I do not understand why this is happening;/ some hints?

First you need the correct phone forum. This is the Xperia S, Acro S, ION forum. Second, questions go in the Q&A section not the general.
Search for your phones forum.

I found the instructions
PROBLEMS .54 SOFTĂ“W root for:
First Pull the two kernels from the link: LINK
Second You also need to download a program to their upload - Flashtool - LINK
3rd After installing Flashtoola and its drivers, run it and select the option as in the picture:
I already downloaded and pointing kernel extracted by ".10" with option "No final verification"
4th After uploading and re-start should see a little bit strangely our screen, the colors will not be complete, font strange, but do not be dismayed. Now upload the root means that at the beginning of this guide.
5th After successfully uploading the kernel root back to "54". So can flash the kernel Flashtoolem again, this time ending in ".54"
6th After successfully uploading the kernel ".54" everything goes back to normal, and our phone is already zrootowany
but of course I can not connect to flashtol because when push the back button and connect the phone to usb nothing happens the program does not start:> have any suggestions?

Don't worry you aren't the only one with that problem! I faced the exact same problem while rooting my sola!
Follow these steps and guaranteed root!
1. Download flashtool. Just search on Google.
2. Download the kernels 6.1.1.B.1.10 and 6.1.1.B.1.54 for xperia sola. Just search on xda you'll find it.
3. Connect your phone in flashmode with flashtool running on your computer! BEFORE CONNECTING THE PHONE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TICKED USB DEBUGGING*
4. Flash the .10 kernel and reboot. All icons will turn black don't panic!!
5. Use Bin4ry v18 to restore rootme. After the phone restarts flash it again with. 54 kernel!!
Itll work! Worked for me!
Thank me after its done though I owe no responsibility if anything goes wrong during the process! but it works!

can you please explain it, step by step,
because im a newbie, i just studied this rooting and custom ROM things in two days
i think its not enuf huh.
thanks for the suggestion
Download mode can be achieved by first
power off your device
Try a combo of power and one of the volume buttons
When the buttons light up keep holding till you see a yellow triangle
From there plug into your PC
Then attempt to "flash" back to a working ROM with your PC
For my device(s) download mode is found by using the #1 button on the hard keyboard and the power button at the same time (epic 4G) and for my (my touch 3G) other device it can be found by pressing volume up and the power button.
For your device try the following Google search, just replace the bit between the "<>" with the name of your device and it should pull up a solution by page two of the Google search
"how to"+"download mode"+<name-of-device> similar:XDA
oh and the issue you're having is called a "boot loop" and is usually fixable by going back to stock and re-rooting after.

Hi, Do not panic. I faced a similar problem today, and the best solution for it is using FLASHTOOL to flash the stock .ftf firmware.
From the sticky threads, download the stock ICS firmware for the phone. Also read up on how to use the flashtool.
Try and follow the solution given in the below thread, hit THANKS if it helps!

Hi there!
I am a total greenhorn to flashing android, so after reading this you will call me a maniac to give it a try.
It started with the app f.lux which needs root access. Since I rooted my HTC Desire, HTC One X and Samsung S5 some years ago, I decided to give it a try.
I googled an instruction for rooting my Xperia X. Now this is where I did the stupid mistake. I believed that when I google "Xperia X" Google only gives me results for the Xperia X, but instead it was Xperia Z and I did not check. Yeah, stupid mistake. I told you.
I cannot post the link, but it is a gallery by chip . de giving instruction with 20something screenshots.
This is the instruction I followed. So far, unlocking the bootloader worked well and should be done correctly.
So at picture 15 I started the wrong stuff and following the pictures I flashed "Z_DooMLoRD_CF-Auto-Root-ported_FW-350.img" and "Z_DooMLoRD_insecure_FW-350.img".
Since then I have a boot loop, I tried the fastboot -w command, but not surprisingly that did not made a difference.
What can I do? Try to find the right images and just flash them or is bricked forever?
Hoping for any advice...
press and hold volume up & power untill it vibrates 3 times. It will shut down your device. After download & install flashtool(http://www.flashtool.net/index.php) install the correct drivers for xperia x(option in flashtool) download a ftf(rom) with xpericheck(option in flashtool) after that you can connect the phone in flash mode and restore the original rom
I do not find all neccessary drivers using the flashtool wizard, although it is the latest version of flashtool. Also Flashtool does not show the firmware I downloaded using XperiFirm...

To get the correct drivers installed download sony xperia companion app. After its installed , conect your phon by usb. start your phone twice, once power off and hold volume up and let drivers install, then power your phone holding volume down and let drivers install.
There is a stand alone xperifirm app, i had a lot more success downloading with that.
Finally, since finding the right drivers and getting flashtool to work properly did not work I found the sony developer flash tool which works brilliantly for an ape like me. Nevertheless, thank you all for trying to help me out
Please research.
