Is there an app to control the volume L/R ? I'd like to use it to get the sound coming only from left speaker (headset).

which rom are using ,definately seems to be a problem with your headset as it has nothing to do with left/right speakers.
Hey, it's not a problem. I want to do that myself. I suffer from tinnitus and it's only on my other ear, so I'd like to balance the volume so the sound will only come from the right speaker.

SO...in tha specific case you need MONO headphones.
I think if you try to output double power from one of the audio channels you'll have audio distortion...
Thanks I'll look into it then

Hey
I think that the speaker at the bottom of the z ultra is much too quiet during a phone call. It is hardly useable while driving car.
Is there a mod to get the speaker louder?tl
Thanks in advance.

Have a look in the MOD section, there are a couple that work

Simply flash THIS stereo sound mod:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/themes-apps/true-real-stereo-sound-earpiece-t2822893
I advise you to go with the V10 update, best version.
Loudspeaker, ear piece and voice calls are far louder than stock, far better quality with almost no distortion.
Flash the above sound mod and get back to us.
I'm personally using the V10 stereo mod sound and it works wonders, highly recommended.

Thank you. I flashed the audio mod I showed you. Can I flash your mod over it or do I have to wipe Rom first?

No need to wipe your rom. Simply boot into recovery mode/CWM and flash the audio mod. Reboot phone and enjoy the sound and stereo speakers.
With this mod you get sound out the ear piece when using loudspeaker giving you stereo effect.
I too had very low volume, especially when making phone calls in a loud environment. Even using the volume to the maximum wasn't enough.
Using applications such as Skype/Talkray were even worse, volume too low.
After flashing the audio mod, my volume is now set to 6/10. Any louder and my ears ring, too loud!
Flash the given sound mod. Try some music, videos and phone calls upon completion. I'm sure you'll be more than satisfied.
Thank dontbelieve for his hard work. It was him who took the time and effort in making this mod. Support and updates were frequent.

That sounds impressive. Would you recommend v10 for z ultra C6833 too? Why not the newest v14?

Play a video or music and see if sound comes from both top and bottom speaker.
Yes it is wooow cool.
I looked at the mixer_path.xml the rx?digital volume is everything on 84. Rx7 is for the speaker right? I changed it to 94. Is this option for watching video/music and voice call? Which volume is for headphones?

I have tried V1 all the way to v14 and the BEST one was V10.
Sound was louder, clearer and less distortion.
Most other updates had boomy sound, too much bass and not as loud as V10.

You will notice right away far louder sound and you should get stereo sound. Voice calls and internet calls are far louder.

Correct. I have my Rx7 volume to 94, perfect for me.
Volume for headphones will be under 'headphone voice cfg' setting. Mine is set to 94.. You will find the option further down the speaker cfg. Also change the 'headphones' value to 90 or 94. 'Voice speaker' is set to 105 for loud and clear call volume.
Lastly, 'headphones' is set to 94.
Once changing the above values, make sure you save and reboot for the desired effect to take place.

Hi!
Prolly a stupid one, but I'm really puzzled. When I insert headphones in my Galaxy S6 Edge and press the button on headphones, I hear music playing. It sounds like some kind of stock music, but I don't see any application running or something and it's bugging me quite a lot. What the heck is going on?
Thanks in advance! :silly:

Are you adjusting the audio volume on the phone when you hear the music? Just thinking my S7 plays the Samsung tune when I turn the volume up or down I guess so you can guage how quiet or loud the setting is.

Huh... It *could* be that, because it does sound like Samsung tune. However, I'm pressing the only button I have on these phones (I think it's ones coming from Sony Xperia Z) and they are used to answer calls/hang up.
I tried pressing volume rocker on phone to see if smt will happen, but no luck there.
Thx for answering!
Did anyone experience low volume while notifications came. i feel its too low than s8+.
Same on mine.
It is a bit lower than the s8 plus I have
Yep it's low. Something is wrong (software problem).
I downloaded a few notifications from zedge and there loud but as soon as you use it as a notification it's very low.
Even Samsung own notification sounds are low.
It's really bugging me tbh
I have it to looks like a software problem
Same here. Maybe we should turn off dolby atmos...?

Certainly has nothing to do with atmos.
I hope they no there's a problem and fix it ?
we have to report it to samsung. hope next update wil fix it
Same here. I downloaded "Shot gun shot" from Zedge for my texts and it has helped a TON. But yea, its retardedly low otherwise.
same here the sound is even weird and only from the bottom speaker.

+1 here.
Same here too
All notification sounds are really low. Very hard to hear it if you are in a different room. How can we report this issue to Samsung?
this is very annoying. I cant hear any whatsapp notifications because sound is too low!
Guys is there a way to report this ?
I haven't experienced this problem. But I also immediately turned on Atmos when I got my phone and when I did, I noticed that it made the speakers louder.
Maybe there comes a mod to make the speakers louder i have turned atmos on but i don't hear any difference.

Atmos works perfect during Video/music playback.
It's notification sounds that are not very clear and very low in volume.
I watched an episode of walking dead on my phone the other day and enabled atmos and it sounded great I'm pleased with that function.
Yes, I have the same problem, volume for notifications are very low, surely it's a software problem because the speaker is loud for ringtones and other source of sounds.
