i cut my friends' faces out and place them on random bodies. Other than that, i'm not an artist so i'm struggling ways to find uses for it.
Quick Notes!
Really great for quick notes, some sketching. It's awesome for Draw Something too!
It's very extremely useful on taking quick medication orders/directives from doctors when I'm on call.
I use it on scribbling directions from screenshots when there's a problem using an application
I use it for sketching drills I'm going to do for soccer practice and vball practice. I also use it to write down conditioning ideas and setup for the vball and soccer team.
I use it for quick notes or a short grocery list. And sometimes if I have an idea that includes s couple e if people I'll use it to write it down and then send it out.

When I'm not on the go I use it to navigate quite a bit especially when going through system files as well as using Swype.

Gesture Launcher
seriously, buy it and you will have a completely different experience on your phone. so convenient. amazingly intuitive.
it is basically a program that puts a tiny android on your screen permanently (you can choose the location so it is not an inconvenience) and when you want to access an app... while in a phone call, playing a game, at any point... you touch that icon and draw the gesture you have assigned to a specific app and it pulls it up instantly.
eat it iphone.
try it out guys, it's amazing
Will do once Google checkout stops declining my fing bank of America card!!! Lol

I tried freenote. It's pretty good. I can't set up different folders. Any other good ones with palm guard? Thanks.
I am using Asus Supernote.. it is okay, just a little too much lag while drawing.
There aren't a lot of apps to try. Bummer!

I like Handrite. Nice interface, easy to use, an overall good writing app.

I like freenote and Asus supernote. But I would love to find something that also records audio with the notes similar to the livescribe pen system.

Ok I am sure all netflix users have found out that we have been had. There app will automatically update and no matter what I do I can't stop it. The new app is not very responsive and fails to load all the thumbnails. It's not as bad on the 3vo as it is on the og but still sucks. Plus I liked the old look better. So what I am wondering is if anyone knows how to stop it from upgrading?

Did you uncheck the auto update on the market? Mine never updates.
Yes I did. I still have the black splash and auto rotation but the main ui has changed.

Unfortunately there is no way to stop the update. I have a backup of netflix in titanium backup from about 4 months ago and as soon as I restore the app and data it loads the new interface. I thought netflix was slow before, I didnt think they could make it any worse. They might be trying to push people to upgrade their devices. The app works on the 3vo, but my wife has an evo 4g and it barely works now.
yeah i am in the same boat. i have the og and my ole lady has the 3vo. damn you netflix!!!!!!
The Netflix app's user interface is really just a web page. There is NO way whatsoever to get the old user interface back, because it is served directly from Netflix, as opposed to being a native Android user interface.
I agree that it blows. Why can't Netflix make a UI that lets us actually be able to browse ALL of the available titles? For instance, if I check the science fiction movies on the app, I apparently have a choice of about 20 movies or so to watch. Yet, you can search and find all kinds of additional titles. Why can't I just browse the damn library of titles?!?!
After a little bit digging.. Seems to be a server side updated rather than a full app update...

I very much agree. Netflix is quite un-user friendly. Half the time you have to know what you want to watch and search for it, and even then it's very hit and miss. I especially don't follow why Netflix has say... movies 2 and 3 in a series, but not the first one. DEFINITELY needs a massive UI update to allow entirely library browsing. not just whatever 75 titles they feel like showing at the current time.
I got fed up with Netflix, left August 1st.
Once Amazon gets a little better selection I'll head over there.

Leaning towards flip board. Haven't felt either out long enough tho.
I like pulse better than both

I second feedly, after learning of Google Reader's demise i've used nothing but this and it's fantastic.
I prefer Pulse myself.
You can see more headlines at once and then decide which stories you want to actually read.
I find having to flip through every story with Flipboard and Currents annoying.
But I can see how they could be appealing as they are more like flipping trough a paper magazine.
I like Google Currents if I want to read from a specific source. Swipe left right to switch between new sources and up down to scrollbetween articles. So convenient! I llike flip board for the compilation of articles or news from various sources at once.
I'm used to flipboard.
So im gonna stay with flipboard
+1 for Feedly. Not perfect but good enough. I can't stand flipboard and especially currents. Too much gloss. At least with Feedly, I can make it look more like Reader.

Pulse for blogs and news, flipboard for pictures . Addicted to both
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Pulse is too condensed making it hard to read full titles, Currents I feel like is not as intuitive and simple as Flipboard. I mainly use Flipboard on my note 2 and ipad.
I'm a fan of currents, personally.

Flipboard on the note 2 and New iPad. I'm a fan!
Using the Note app with the S-Pen is important to me so I am wondering if there is any 4.3/4.4 ROM out there that will do this. Thanks.

Check out these pens from Adonit. They eliminate your need for TouchWiz. They focus on iOS support, but they do work with Android. There are a number of YouTube videos you can review.

If you really want the Samsung apps, then the answer is no.
There are a ton of apps which work with the spen hardware just like on a stock rom, including palm rejection and spen button use etc, use the market and search.
Thanks guys, I will try all your suggestions out. I like the handwriting to text feature though.
There's nothing better than S-Notes but a few as good. Here are my top choices in order of best.
LectureNotes - though on KitKat, the writing lags a bit
Papyrus
Memo
Stylus Beta - Although not a note app, it allows you to use the S-Pen to input text
Write
Jotter
Bamboo Paper
OmniNote
