nfc and s-beam toggles dissapeared from settings after installing UK ROM - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

Hi all!
I'm a spanish user using until today the spanish vodafone rom.
I have flashed the new stock rom from UK and rooted the smartphone.
My surprise comes when i'm ready to test the nfc mod for using it with screen off.
I'm going to settings-->more settings and i can see that nfc and s-beam toggles doesn't exist in that menu. They were there in my previous spanish vodafone rom.
I have been looking for them with no luck.
Any idea/suggestion?
Thanks indeed.

Add language support vibrant (galaxy s)

Hi all...
I've got the vibrant (t-mobile) version of the Samsung galaxy s, which doesn't include locale support for european countries. I want to build a ROM which can use the locale files from a european ROM, and mix it with a vibrant ROM. Which files should I look after?
To be clear: I've tried all the extra locale apk's, and want to build a europe localized ROM with a vibrant base.
Thanks for all answers!!
I'm interested in getting scandinavian language support on my samsung vibrant aswell. Did you get any further regarding this topic?
Try compiling cyanogen. He's got multiple locales in his roms.

Nope, never got so far... switched to Desire Z (the G2) some time ago, so got nordic language now
So did you manage to get the Vibrant to display menus in Norwegian ? I'd like some help to make it display in Swedish (my father's phone).
Can one install a ROM like Macnut R14, or bionix-v, and then update with these XEE CSC's ? What is a CSC anyway ?
Sorry for the noob questions, but I've read for like a week and can't find info on nordic languages ..
Thanks in advance,
Adrian
Nope... like the post above yours says I've switched to the G2...
If CM is available to vibrant it's supporting all langs... or you could flash a rom based on the europe source. hope it helps

[Q] GT-9100G lack of Spanish language

Hi folks,
A friend of mine bought a S2 GT-9100G, and founds that it lacks of Spanish language in its system. For him, it would be great to have it in Spanish. Is there any way to install the Spanish in it somehow?
what rom does he have?

Regular stock rom with gingerbread.

In case this gets to be of anyone's interest, I found out that by updating the system (using regular KIES software) it will download the latest version of the stock ROM.
This will cause the device to download all languages (and if you live in a Spanish speaking country, it will bring the language in that update).
I hope it helps anyone in the future.

How to add language file to stock ROM

Hello Forum ,
I have a bell i9100m phone however it comes with English/French/Koearn only, how to add another language to the stock ROM (currently it's 4. 0.3) ? or I have flash it to a different ROM ? thanks for your help .
Try "MoreLocale 2" or "Set Locale and Language" from Google Play.
Hi!
you can try: Settings - Language and keyboard - Android Keyboard - Input Languages (select as many as you want)
This link might also help you out: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/963340/how-to-add-an-extra-language-input-to-android]
if everything above does not work, install MoreLocal 2
hope this helps!
cheers
thanks guys/gals for the reply , morelocale2 kind of worked however the translation seems not complete, anyway, I guess this is the only way to add menu language without flashing another ROM .
BTW, is it possible to flash another official ROM for different area to this phone ? I have i9100m from bell Canada, if I'd like flash Samsung SII RoM for hongkong will that cause any issue ?
Idk about i9100m, but if you were on international version, you can flash right away
But relatively, you can see your phone here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193695
Hope this helps!

Galaxy S3 - Some input languages are missing(Armenian in my case) after 4.1.2 update

I have an international S3 with stock UK unbranded rom. I haven't used my phone for about a month and recently I got 2 updates which increased the build ver. to 4.1.2. I think one of the updates is a premium pack. All previous updates had Armenian language as an option for Samsung keyboard, but now it isn't available. When I go into the keyboard settings, it seems to get an update from the server of all available/updated languages. My guess is that the update was rushed to the market with some of the main keyboard languages and rest of them will be updated later. Can some of you guys please check your phones and see if your new 4.1.2 update has Armenian(Հայերեն) as an input option?
Thanks!

To make it short- if the device is region free / unlocked - there is no difference at all, except 3 minor things:
1- supported languages: for some reasons, suppliers prefer to hide the built-in support of 4.1 (and above) android of all languages.
2- different modems- some roms have a modem that works great in specific countries.
3- built in apps- suppliers sometimes love to integrate some apps in the system, some that are completely useless...
For the difference between the two you mentioned- if they don't belong to a specific supplier- just go with the newest one. Also, most of the custom roms solves the issues above, so if you're planning to install one, I strongly suggest that you'll try the one of them- especially the one in my signature
