I tried out blood & glory,i get a freeze in the game for say about 15 sec and then it runs normally,then a few secs later same thing happens...
I tried Dead Space ,on start it check for updates for few sec(older nightlys) but now it takes about a min(the game works fine except for the annoying long update checking process)
I tried Front line commando which also makes me a minute or less in the startup loading screen(the game works fine after this point)
am i the only one with these issues

Same here...
Running CM Nightly 4.0.4 07/07 with stock kernel n siyah kernel too...
Bt Gangsta and b&g freeze for like 30 sec every 1min play time..
But if connected to internet than no problem occur..
seems the roms are messed up for gaming
whats the use of extra performance in the roms if the games arent working properly...
Thank god am not the only one...we are in nightly, so may be they ll fix it on the later builds

But now? Issue solved !! ITS THE DAMN KERNEL LOL... Might not be the same for you but its somewhere to start trying

You could try SiyahKernel, and turn on performace mode, this could help, it seems to be a common problem.
For me siyah v3.3.3 was the issue. V3.3.2 is awesome
But am scared to flash siyah...
Blood & glory works fine now,running the latest build.Will check out if Asphalt 6 works as soon as i get home ...
yeh i also wanna know a rom/kernel combo that works best for 3d games..no fps drops..no lags..do share guys

wait for a day r two u will get the latest update of resurrection remix rom as well as siyah kernel latest and u can run all ur 3d games without any fps drops or lags for sure

I have it running fine on Zdzihu's CM7 Z MOD on Doomlord's bootmanager for unlocked bootloaders, it's a bit slow in going through menus but the game itself works fine
alright.. so now it no longer runs laggy.. it does not run at all..
it just forces my phone into a restart
is this bcz of kernel or rom?

Which Oodie MIUI Prime version / kernel? Link would be great... I will load it up and see how it works fresh (just load up the rom/kernel, sign in to Google, install game) for a test run.

-I flashed the default kernel (first kernel, there were 3 on the kernel page), then the rom.
-Added my WiFi network
-Signed into Google, accessed market, downloaded Windup Knight...
-Nothing else, didn't change any settings or install anything.
It randomly caused the phone to reboot each time I played it. There was lag in the part before game play, but the actual game played fine... til it rebooted. I'd have to say the rom and it don't get along... though I'm no where near knowledgeable to tell you why.
It works fine on mine stock gingerbread.

Please help trying to flash it custom aokp just suck on custom boot screen not the motorola one. flashing with 1400 oc droid boot animation apex launcher cm9 keyboard beats audio and coming from sbf 198_6.. Please help stuck for ten to fifteen minutes...
Update: got aokp to boot finally nut now random reboots what can i do to stop this please help..

Sounds like you need to re-flash or restore a good working backup and try again.
Also, when posting try to use some punctuation and more detail. Makes it much easier for peeps to help with problems.

Sounds like it. CM9 (depending on version) is very stable and has loads of support.
another thing you may want to consider is use of a 1.3 kernel instead of 1.4. Nit all photons agree with a 1.4 kernel.

i got kitchen sink to boot but it had loads of bugs and fc's i tried 3 different (aokp, miui and gummy) gummy didn't work for me at all and got stuck at the moto boot logo, i suggest you simply flash aokp without kitchen sink and there probably won't be any problems. kitchen sink is a new idea so of course there will be bugs but to make this work we need to test.

Did you try to reboot into CWM and fix permissions, too? I run CNA via KS 2.0.1, it was a little quirky for the first couple days but got better. Still running it now.....

I believe that the random reboots are due to the settings you have chosen for the installed ROM. Try to install CM9 in the default configuration. I tried kitchen sink ROM yesterday and used it to set up several ROMs to test - each went through just perfect. Remember that Android 4 ROMs may be unstable, e.g. camera issue in all of the ROMs.
I also had issues with slow playback of videos, previously shot with the phone. Both MIUI and CM9 has failed to smoothly playback 720p video, shot with Photon. The video was all sluggish, but the audio was fine.
You may also try to find some pattern why phone is rebooting. It might only look like it is random...
Had anyone tried to play lane splitter on ICS because every time i play it freezes after some time, I have tried official ICS and custom roms also but it freezed everytime..

Mine works ok, in ICS ( --VK-- 4.8, at the moment).
Did you restored data part using titanium backup, coming maybe from GB? Give a try installing the game from play store, without any TB restore (if it's your situation)..
i deleted everything i downloaded it from market but it freezes.I also tried shadow guardian on ICS builds using chainfire 3d but after gameloft logo it comes to homescreen and it was working flawlessly on 2.3

"FeraKernel is integrated in this rom and overclocked till 1113Mhz so if your phone cant handle this frequencies (reboots or wlods happening) then flash another stock kernel. (Don't forget wifi modules)"
Which means not all X10 can use NG ROM pretty smooth. Your X10 probably can't handle strength of the Kernel, or not suitable to be overclocked too much..So try use Stock Kernel (non-overclocked 998MHz).
*If You still locked bootloaded, just full wipe, clear cache partition, should get back the stock kernel. As long it's locked bootloaded, the kernel still there.
*If Unlocked Bootloaded, get kernel here (pre-rooted) and flash it via Flashtool after placed it under subfolder "firmwares".
For wifi moduleHere and flash it via xrecoveryGood Luck

if you seems a lot of problem on Fera NG, change other ROM.

try reflashing the rom....but...first you must use PcCompanion and go back 2.3.3 and then flash the feraRom with all wipe(As explained in the installation guide.....follow the guide)

thats what i ended up doing and it worked, just so werid that it happened all of the sudden out of the blue
the problem is with the ROM
the fera ROM sucks according to me no hard feelings for the DEVELOPER only respect dude.....
i have tried all its rom and each one of them gave me wlod's.... hated it even on the homescreen....
i would advice you to switch to fxp125.....i installed it on my sister's phone and she hasnt compalined even once......
the best ROM out there without any bugs FXP125..... LOVE to the FXP team

Fera also was the first to create a ROM Ics for x10 and all its roms have had continuous updates and improvements to reach almost to perfection

dude i sed no HARd FEELINgs.... camera works perfectly in fxp125.... video records at 720p... only the recorded video lags on it... but doesnt if you transfer and play it on ur pc
plus fxp gives me options to overclock or underclock and much more fera rom restricts by not giving much option....
and seriously i tried each one of the rom... the v20 doesnt has ny bugs or wlods but doesnt gives much option to customize....
jaf and ng rom give me wlods most of the time.... got NO BUGS though....
SORRY if i disrespected the DEV in any way none was Intended

Are you comparing cm7.2 with a stock rom?
According to me you really cant compare cm7.2 with stock GB rom
As for speed cm7.2 is the one going to win but all addons of SE wont work with it.
At the end its personal choice what they like but comparing cm with stock rom I think is unfair.

You still really can't
cm7.2 will be faster than any stock based custom roms. You cant change it
atleast for SE roms.
I loved the speed of the Fera rom, the problem is i kept on getting something that would crash then I would stop receiving text msgs
Tried to reflash 3 times and still kept having the same issue, went back to v20 of fera and there was a noticeable lag compared to NG

I also had this probably twice, I thought it was a signal problem. I noticed that after a restart I get all the sms

Why in hell would fxp rom be more complete than this rom? it does never get finished, camera sucks a lot, loads of issues that has not been fixed yet. I wouldn't switch to fxp rom just for this issue.just my opinion and experience.

Every game that is in 3d freeze my phone. Pacman rom based on PA: same thing...

in settings > devloper options try enabling 'Force GPU rendering' and then try those games and see

But I bought my S2 yesterday and just tried PA so far, so i don't know if the freeze is caused by the Rom.
(I know this is an old thread, but i post here , hoping To find a solution^^
Games freeze fix
I just installed the rom myself 4 days ago and had the same issue. I fixed it altogether by doing this:
Go to developer settings and check the box marked "disable HW overlay"
That's it. Try your games now.
Just to let you know... If you reboot your phone you will have to go back to the setting and check the box again... It does not hold after a reboot.

No, it doesn't. Carmageddon still freezes on my i9100 even with the hardware overlay disabled.
Guess I'm stuck with Android 4.1.
Carbon rom. Try that out. Or use dormanx kernel and up the gpu settings.
