I installed the 1.69.605.0 leak earlier in the day and the verizon update wont hit my phone.. im assuming its because the radios are the same?
I tried to go back to the MR1 update and OTA update but I had issues getting adb to work on win7 64-bit

I don't get it, you are rooted yet you want to install a unrooted ota on your phone? What are you trying to do? Are you thinking they have something in there that the one on xda doesn't have? Why would you want to give up the root?

When ICS finally comes out for the Evo 3D, how do I update it? I am rooted and have installed Leedroid 3D and whenever I go to 'check for software updates' it just checks for ever and never notifies me. So, I would love to know how I will be getting ICS with my rooted device, does that mean I have to reverted to the stock ROM?

It's usually not a good idea to update oficially OTA when you're rooted. It can break root and cause other issues, potentially. As long as you're rooted with a custom recovery, all you'll need to do is wait for a developer to release a rooted version of the update that is safe to flash. Typically it happens within hours of the update being released.
thank you sir.
PLEASE HELP ME!! I have the EVO LTE I rooted it on day 1 May 24 HOWEVER our Google wallet app has not been working so we got our Android 4.0.3 update. NOW I did the 1 click UN-INSTALL root then updated my phone from android 4.0 ICS to the android 4.0.3 now I tried RE-ROOTING the phone but it is NOT letting me. It does the reboot and everything but the root is UNSUCCESSFUL. I am extracting the correct HTC_EVO_4G_LTE root file and everything. Is there a DIFFERENT root file and link now because of this android 4.0.3 software & 1.22.651.3 firmware upgrade??
Did you take the OTA or did you use the modified firmware and software?

What modified firmware and software?? I did the OTA update that came 2 my phone. I want my root back
I recently tried rooting the phone with the new OTA, it's just going to fail since the HBoot updated. I also tried to do the RUU to go back and that failed as well. We just have to wait now.
You never accept an OTA while rooted or if you ever plan on rooting. Those are just the facts.
You have to wait until the developers find a fix now.

I was able to root my phone using this but I'm still S-ON but rooted....only reason why I'm all screwed up b/c I saw all the warnings for resetting google wallet, and on my stock LTE the Wallet didn't work at all, so I'm thinking I have to get it to work or im screwed, so I updated it like an asshole...so now i'm in the same boat as many...I got my phone rooted, I got S-ON, and I'm waiting for someone to come out w/ a method soon b4 my impatience turns my phone into a brick
Oh I know the rules of updating but I got the phone and the rep gave me the phone updated without me knowing. I got the phone late bc I was deciding on the Evo or SGSIII
your going to have to wait until someone comes up with a exploit to root that firmware..

If you're s-off, then you can regain root starting at step 16 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1770501

Am I out of luck? I took the update and was rooted but locked. Can I re-root and unlock to gain my root back?
Thanks

You are not completely out of luck. You can still unlock your bootloader via htcdev, and root. With the new bootloader you won't be able to flash radios, splash screens, or kernels through the recovery. I think its possible to flash kernels with extra steps like what was involved with hboot 1.5 on the Evo 3D.

Hi my girlfriend updated her phone to ICS and she hates it. The phone has never been rooted so I was just wondering the method for her to get back to stock. Also if there is a way to prevent the ICS OTA update from popping up that would be amazing. Thanks for the help.
There is a way to go back to gb if you take the ota but you have to root to do the process. The ota can be blocked but you have to be rooted to block it forever.

If I root the HTC One on the stock rom well I still get the OTA updates from T-Mobile?

I swear this type of question must be asked in every thread. Try SuperSu and do some research for upgrading and keeping root. Rooting has been around for a while and there are ways around this. Honestly though why do people root if they want to get factory updates. You do realize that a factory updated rooted version would be out before or shortly after an official release is out....
OTA update and a rooted phone is not a big deal... Jus sayin
To answer your question directly...if you have stock recovery then yes. If you have custom recovery then no.
search next time but...
stock rom with root yes you will get updates.
If you have a custom recovery it may not flash.
I flash the tmobile ota ( the .28 one) with clockworks and all was fine.
