I am using the HTC Weather clock (the default one) and when I tap on it, it opens up to the "World Clock" tab. I tried rearranging the tabs but it still insists on opening up to that tab. Is there any way to make it open straight to the alarms tab? I use this frequently enough that I'm hoping there's some way to do this (device is not rooted and I'd prefer to keep using this widget).
I also couldn't find a way to remove the World Clock tab completely, which could also resolve the issue.

I just bought a standard dock for my bedroom but I am experiencing a very annoying issue : the widget clock comes up in portrait mode and there is no way to rotate it. Every other app has the correct orientation while docked : launcher pro, the settings screen, my browser, even the lockscreen which I have never seen rotated in any other circumstance.
I am on Bell Gobstopper 2.3.4 with root access. Using adb, is there anything I could try modifying to force the app to go to landscape mode?
Thanks for your help.
Just to add another vote, I just installed Gobstopper 2.3.4 and have the same problem. I would love to know how to change it.
I ended up using a replacement app from the market: alarm clock plus. After you install this app, the next time you put your ATRIX in the dock, you will have an "Other" category in the dock task picker and you will find alarm clock plus in the list. You can even make it the default task when you connect the dock. Works nicely!
Hi,
I am fairly new to Android 4.1, I once had a 2.3 device with HTC sense and thought it was horrible. I changed to WP 7.5 which I love, but somehow got bored with it. Now playing with my Gnex, I notice that it's quite cumbersome to get to the clock alarm settings? I would either have to use a widget or put the clock icon on a homescreen. I think it would be great if the pull-down menu had a shortcut to the alarm settings, by tapping on the time/date at the top. Would also be great if the same thing with different function would be implemented for the battery icon, showing a percentage... currently I use a third party app to show % in the taskbar up top. (even Symbian can do this).
Does google have a site for feature suggestions like this?
I was excited to upgrade to 4.3 to get the lock screen widget capability, but when I installed Dashclock, it does not seem to work like it should. When I tap on items on the Dashclock widget nothing happens. For example, according to the Dashclock documentation, clicking on the Gmail widget should load up Gmail. It doesn't. Tapping on the settings icon does nothing. Pretty much nothing works.
I think this is most likely an HTC issue with their lock screen app. Does anyone know if there is some kind of HTC API I can use to fix this (Dashclock is open source and I can make changes to try it).
thanks!

With 4.2.2+ (including 4.3) HTC removed the google lock screen which can be used with dash clock and added their own which you can only add 1 widget.
Yes and that widget does not work properly. Like I said, tapping on the Settings icon for example does nothing.
If you press on any dash clock widget shortcuts it will do nothing you have to press and then unlock and you will be on the shortcut that you tap on.
If you tapped on weather for example when you unlock you will not unlock to home instead you will unlock to the weather shortcut

Aha, that works. Seems kind of strange having to take the extra step but at least I know it works now. Thanks!
Hi all,
I'm running CM11 Nightly (20140107) on my GT-I9195 (S4 Mini). I'm required to have a PIN lock due to Exchange Policy, but I am able to modify the lock screen widgets. Since I have lowered the DPI for my System UI, I have quite a lot of room available above the PIN lock.
Apart from the date, time, weather and agenda provided by the cLock widget, I think I should be able to fit some more things in there, for example additional system information or some application shortcuts. I would like to have date, time and weather on the top-left, some other widget(s) on the top-right, and full-width agenda underneath.
However, I think you are only allowed to have two full-screen widgets on the lock screen; one default, and another one when you scroll to the left. So, I guess I should use some 'super' widget for this; a widget that is simply a container for other widgets. Does anyone know whether something like this exists? I have found Widget Maker in the Play Store which seems to fit my needs, but although it works fine as a regular home screen widget, it does not show up in the list of widgets when adding a lock screen widget.
Please note that I'm aware of WidgetLocker; I've used this before. The drawback is that you need two steps to unlock your device; first dismiss WidgetLocker, then enter your device PIN. So if possible, I would like to combine the standard PIN lock screen with multiple custom widgets.
Any suggestions?
Hello all, I have a frustrating issue. I cannot seem to purge the weather widget from my lock screen. It's some sort of widget that auto-rotates the screen to portrait and provides a slide-out tab that displays my local weather (screenshot attached is with the tab slid out). It only started appearing recently (never had this happen before), however I don't know what triggered it. There are no lock screen system settings that allow me to enable or disable anything but the clock. I have removed every weather app from my device (even the stock app). I even froze TouchWiz thinking that might have caused it. No dice.
So what app/widget is this and how do I get rid of it? Thanks in advance.
