Anyone find one that works yet?

Samsung sells an official 11pin one for $40 and they also sell an adapter for $10 so you can use your old mhl cable and it will work and be cheaper.

I contacted Monoprice, and they're also working on one. The old one is $10 so the new one should be from $10-15 hopefully.
Unfortunately there's only currently two options:
1. Suck it up and purchase the OFFICIAL Samsung branded adapter (at least $40)
2. Purchase/Use previous gen adapter (5-pin) and purchase a 5 to 11 pin adapter (at least $10)
I think I'll hold out for whatever monoprice's offering will be.

Hi ive just had a look on ebay and the MHL cables are going for 30-40 quid? Is there not somewhere else that does them cheaper?
I think its a bit retarded anyways not havin one in the box but thats another story, but having to pay an extra 40 quid to use a function on ur phone.
Sorry for my rant im just surprised they so expensive.

It has chip inside for signal conversion.

Alright folks, i bought my Note last Saturday after breaking my Atrix screen the 2nd time. (fixed it myself and then broke it a week later again and then broke the USB when it broke the 2nd time.) Anyway, i am loving my Note and was due for an upgrade anyway. I haven't had to deal with MHL Adapters before, my Atrix had an actual mini HDMI out. Are there any that are better than others or brands that i need to stay away from?

I bought this one off eBay and have had no problems with it.

I know Samsung sells that 40$ adapter for HDMI out. Is there a cheap alternative? I know they sell the mhl adapters for like $3 on eBay but from what I've read saint changed the pin layout in the gs3
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
They did change the pin out. What boggles me is no one has come up with an adaptor. Does any one know what the new pin out is vs the old one?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
I believe its 11 pin on then new and 5 on the old.

This is extremely annoying to me (especially when I watch my Sons RAZR MAXX do HDMI out with no adaptor required).
I can verify that my older MHL adaptors definitely DO NOT work.
I bought the new one because I use HDMI everyday & it works very well, but there will certainly be cheaper ones coming out.
Since you have one, how many pins does it have ? Can you provide a picture of the pins?
Thanks

You can use this with older MHL adapters: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EPL-FU10BEGSTA

I bought one of the new Samsung S-III MHL adapters, and can confirm it works. My old MHL adapter doesn't work on the S-III (but does on the S-II)
I thought that MHL specified the USB side of the connector, so either the old phones are MHL compliant, or the new ones are. How can there be 2 different connector standards for MHL?! Great standard guys - You just killed it because normal consumers won't understand why this MHL device doesn't work, and others do.

According to http://www.mhlconsortium.org/about/FAQs.aspx the MHL standard is SUPPOSED to be 5-pin to HDMI. If I'm not mistaken, the switch to 11-pin micro USB was necessary for USB on the go, which cannot be supported with just 5-pin micro USB so I guess its worth it. I don't have any existing MHL cables so it doesn't really bother me that much.
Does anyone know where I can buy either an OEM charging wire that doesn't cost too much or just a regular USB charging cable for my DNA that isn't crappy? Thanks!
I found a pretty good one but since I can't post links yet I'll tell you how to get there: go to amazon and search Oem Charging Wire and click on the first link which is called Samsung OEM Micro USB Data Charging Cable (5 ft/1.5m) for Samsung Galaxy S II, Epic 4G Touch, Skyrocket, Galaxy Attain, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S Wifi 4.2, Galaxy Pocket, Rugby Smart and More. Hope I helped! It's not prime though, sorry.

Or contact htc say it broke or whatever happened to it and they will send you a new one for free made for the dna. My charger broke and they did that and it's the oem one. You will need your phone information to prove you own the phone. You get one accessory replacement per year from them.

You can use literally any micro-USB cable. Monoprice has a them in varying lengths for a few bucks.
Amazon!! Anytime I need anything for my phone I go there. I got a brand new stock battery for my rezound for 2 bucks back when I was using that phone. Stock usb cables for a penny all day. Cases 90% off retail. I sound like I work for them or something but I'm just that happy with the deals I constantly find on there. Half the time you even get free 2 day shipping.

Must have gotten a bad rep because all i did was call and tell them what happened and they sent a cable and wall charger meant for the DNA at no cost. I would try again because if you own an htc phone they will replace one accessory a year from them if something happens to it.
Definitely a bad rep. I had a new wall charger/cable sent to me the next week. No questions asked.

Do you have to have your phone registered through them or anything? I bought my dna new from Verizon in February, and the charger quit working two months later. I don't think I've ever registered it or anything like that. Do they just require the imei and serial/ information on the sticker, or how do they verify that you are the owner of the device?

Good find, but unless someone here has ordered it, someone might need to take a plunge and buy it.

You cant really tell. It has the same model number as our battery but how do they have so many? I would say look at the seller rating but I don't know how accurate/dependable those are cause I never used eBay before. Personally I would just wait for samsung to release it on website.

Better to just wait for local pickup or order direct through Samsung with the price being $52.40 off of eBay!
Sent from my Note 3 SM-N900A rooted by Designgears
with that price and the fact that it's from Korea, I'd bet that it's genuine
It's legit. I got one from another Korean eBay seller. It's utterly identical to the one which shipped with the phone apart from some of the writing being in Korean on the new one. It's just too close to the original to be a knock off. Of course Korea is going to get Samsung product before everyone else - the main factory is there.

Couple of pics. Since I'm using the camera in the phone I can't post both batteries side by side.
Definitely looks genuine

The 100% genuine one is listed on Samsung's website but is on backorder. Reserved mine and got an email stating within 14 business days. If you guys register your note 3 on Samsung's website they'll email you a 50% coupon. It'll be a steal for only $20!

What kind of power plug is there on the end that plugs into the outlet? South Korea doesn't use 110V AC do they? Did you have to buy a voltage converter?
