I've had the random reboot problem (about once per day and I've only seen it happen once), and was wondering if there was anyway to go in and see the crash report that gets sent to htc? When it asks me to send it I know I can preview the log, but is there anyway for me to go back and view it?
Also do you guys think I just send this evo back under warranty? It's completely stock haven't ran an ruu yet but I'm about to.
This seems to be a common problem with the htc amaze. Is this also an issue with your phones?

There's a multipage thread a few pages back. Doesn't seem all to common but it definitely is an issue.

I bought one on launch day and it rebooted a lot so I exchanged it this one hasn't rebooted at all after a few weeks
I think if you use root explorer you can view HTC log I just don't remember where exactly its located. You can also pull a last_kmsg with adb or an app.

Mine just started to do this 2 weeks ago. I thought it was an app that was updated. I was thinking about doing a reset before trying to take it in. Has anyone tried resetting when this happens?

I've been searching around and haven't had any luck on this issue...since installing the first custom ROM, and every one installed since (beastmod, bulletproof, and revolution), I keep getting double text messages...anybody else? Fixes?

yes call tmobile and blame them. nothing to do with roms, is ur carrier's fault.
That's lame...I remember my G2 sending duplicate texts at first and that seemed to be fixed pretty quick...I guess I can't do anything but wait and hope

I have the factory Rom installed and get it from time to time. Don't think its a Rom issue.
I got them today...multiple times...I remember when my Motor Cliq kept doing it...I think it might be a T-Mo issue

Happened to me too. There is a thread over tmobile forum about this problem. So far, no answer from tmobile yet. I think it has to do with the phone. I never had any problem with other tmobile phones. I'm using bulletproof, but I don't think its the Rom. It's kinda annoying.

I received multiple texts on Tuesday. However, when I mentioned it, the person who sent the texts said her phone had been acting up that day, and other people she'd texted also received multiples.
I sometimes get multiple messages. I always get ATLEAST 3 of the same MMS message. VERY annoying lol
I was having this issue and what I found is that I had my contacts in multiple places (Some on sim card, some on google, some on tmobile contact backup, some on phone ect...) I deleted everything except gmail and havent had issues since. Give thata try before you waste your breath calling care.

I only have contacts with Gmail. Nowhere else. Yesterday, I received the same message from one friend 38 times in less than 20 seconds!

Ouch. Yeah not sure what would be causing that, might want to have them file a help desk ticket and have the engineers look at it.

A suggestion.
did u try hard resetting your phone..?
If not, try it out..
ELSE.--> try finding stock updates for your phone and flash them.
So apparently my battery drain/overheat problem has to do with a defective phone
so since its only been 2 weeks since I had this phone. I'm going to try and
exchange it for a new one and see I still have the issues.
I thought it was more of the new radio/firmware problem but from reading from
what some devs says its a bad phone.
cant be your phone .. ive had those issues time to time since installing the new firmware. and ive had this phone since november.

That what I thought, but I'm going to give it a try so I can at least rule it out.

REturn it, I had the same exact issue did a bunch of troubleshooting and none of it helped. It's defective.

Hope this isn't too misleading.
I was having touchscreen issues to the point where the phone was basically unusable.
Read somewhere about sgs touchscreen booster fixing issues on other phones, but the guides wouldn't work on the 3vo.
After some research on xda I found out that the issue lies in the multitouch software, so, in sgs touchscreen booster:
Lower multitouch points to one. (from five)
This has done the trick for me, and gestures like pinch to zoom work flawlessly.
Let me know if this works and I'll edit the post to be more user friendly.

Mine has always been hit and miss with the apps. Like browsers. Opera mobile was smoother for me then Firefox and the stock browser was smoother and more friendly for me on certain sites.
Its a phone not a pc, I try to keep that in the back of my head

What exaclty are you referring to?
I'm talking about touchscreen issues like unresponsiveness, and phantom taps, to the point where the phone is completely unusable.

My previous one did that. I just reverted back to stock and sprint exchanged it then and there once I showed them what it was doing...

My phone is doing this too & I had wanted to take it to sprint, but I don't have insurance. Will they still exchange it?

My phone had the same issue months back. I brought it into Sprint and paid the $15 fee for them to fix it (they thought they could just replace the screen and that would fix it). They replaced the screen, and said it was still having the same problem. They ended up giving me a "new" 3D, one that was returned within 30 days of the previous owner having it.
mine does this thing where it i can't use the far left of the whole screen. i'd say 30% of it. i can still manage but sometimes its like there is a ghost playing with my screen not letting me text lol.
i thought about taking it to sprint but my bootloader has relocked at the top. im not sure what to do. i thought of replacing it myself but i could risk completely breaking it, i think.
i tried this method with the sgs booster but it didn't do anything for me
My phone is completely unusable because of the touch screen. Unfortunately this didn't' fix it.
I've been having a quirky touchscreen too and just left sprint. They ordered me up a new phone and said the touchscreen was bad.

So I've had the EVO for almost a month now, and I've found that whenever I switch apps the app reloads so that you cant get back to what you were doing. This really sucks, and I wish HTC would acknowledge this problem and fix it. If not, it would be awesome if the talented.devs found a solution.

Since you posted in q&a what exactly is your question We already have many multitasking threads, no need for another.
This morning I had the 2nd random reboot in 2 days on my HTC One, has anybody else had this? It has an unlocked bootloader, is rooted and has CWM Touch Recovery, but I haven't done any other modifications to it.
Well, no reboots today, knock on wood, but I'll keep an eye on it.
Well, no reboots for a couple of days now.

No, but it hasn't done it the past few days, so I am hopefully okay. Is yours still doing it?
