Hello guys,
I recently purchased Shadowgun for my Galaxy S3 (european version with Exynos Quad Core + Mali-400). I first purchased the THD version, thinking that it would work with Chainfire but in vain as it's a Tegra 3 only game (fortunately I bought it only 0.99€). Then I bought the regular version, still amazing on S3.
So, I was wondering if a THD version existed for S3 as the 1.0.1 modded THD version simply closes when loading a game on S3, whereas it loads fine on my S2 (and yet it's the same GPU here).
So my question is: do you know if some devs are on a 1.1.2 THD apk hack version (allowing Leftover expansion pack) that would run on Galaxy S3? I would donate for this, no problem.
As I own twice the game, I don't think it's here some kind of piracy. I hope you'll understand.

Thanks but I did a LOT of search before and I don't find any result for the THD version for S3. But maybe some people would have heard some rumors on a S3 version or something...

Sorry for late reply, but that version is for all devices.
Its written in simplified Chinese XD
Market militia is also quite good.

It would be nice if we didn't need to resort to 'warez' to play the games we've legitimately bought with the best graphics. Hopefully nividia's corrupt tactics will go away soon
I had the thd version on my s2, but I don't remember how I did it and I can't get it working now!
Edit: that link is for the normal version anyway, not the thd version

its not compatible with galaxy s2 yet...
gameloft fully compatible games are those included as trials on the games hub
I assume you've tried with Chainfire 3D and the correct plugin?

yeah with chainfires fix.. dang that really sucks.. that seems to be the issue with alot of games.. is it because of our processor? when will games start working on our phone?

No, it's because of the GPU not the processor. The games will only work when the developers decide to make them work with the Mali-400 (the GPU the S2 has). Could be quite a wait.......
Alas a lot of games will do this to us since we use a relatively new graphics encoder. Don't blame Samsung though as Mali-400 (encoder) is completely OpenGL compliant. Unfortunately developers haven't bothered to code these games yet in a readable manner for our GPUs.
This kinda sucks since games like Riptide GP won't work even with the use of Chainfire 3D. Which is a great shame since the previous Galaxy S does...
It's because the developers are not coding it using industry standard OpenGL. Instead they use Nvidia or PowerVR optimisations which are proprietry and not supported by the Mali GPU (of course it won't because only the self-branded GPUs would support them). Developers need to start using industry standards.
I expect the Gameloft games will be ported relatively quickly, Modern Combat 2 HD can already be purchased from the Android Market for the SGSII, so give it some time.

Not actually interested in this Modern Combat 2 HD because I think FPS games suck on phones but I went and bought it now for my Galaxy if these sales will make Gameloft more interested to make games for our phone.
Would like to see Samurai 2 on my screen but apparently it doesn't work yet? At least if I try to find it in the market, I get an error message that couldn't be found.

its compatible with our phone . it just doesnt run on gingerbread . its for froyo . it doesnt run on gingerbread even on the galaxy s
Samurai 2 works perfectly for me.
I will try Nova 2 HD, but Nova already works perfectly.
Nova 2 works on my galaxy s2 without chainfire but it takes too much time to load up though gameplay is without lag
also the phone gets really hot while playing it

yeah... same like me. Nova 1 finish playing it. Nova 2 i think already reach half of the game. Only problem is when loading to play take 3/4 minutes to play... The games was superbbb.. fantastic...

i had one version that didnt and i have one that does so i think there must be 2 versions

Just played Galaxy on Fire 2 on my Galaxy Tab which as no Tegra2. The lack of a Tegra2 chip was putting me off getting an Xperia Play, but may get one now.
People have been using chainfire for some time, to.play tegra and powervr based games

i can confirm a handfull of THD games work on the play using chainfire, alot still dont work though or crash on loading, most powervr games work well aswell
I played samarua vengeance 2 with chainfire when it was tegra 2 exclusive. I hate this competition between these companies... Why make anything exclusive

I agree. Although if we wait long enough some of the Tegra exclusive games get ported over like Samurai II was.

That being said I couldn't run riptide properly. But there are reports of the galaxy on fire game working properly. There's enough games to keep you busy without playing tegra games though.

All the 9100's are Exynos. The Tegra's are 9103's. I also believe they're supposed to have a sLCD display vs. SAMOLED+.

Goto the market and look for Chainfire 3D and google for the plugins - You can play Tegra2 games then

Yeah it's a good game from the little I played, controls work well and no issues on my HOX.
Only issue is not available in some countries officially from the play store but with a little know how not a issue
Should work well on any dual core/quad core phone so give it a shot

Well essentially you need a rooted device and i'm pretty sure you need a custom kernel.
From my point of view overclocking it it's kinda useless......I've played all the latest games w/o any problem.

According to Quadrant benchmark whatever plays fine on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus should play fine on a Desire X. By the way, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus should supposedly be "better", since it's dualcore cortex a9 at 1.2 Ghz.
