Verizon strikes hard! - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

As some of you know Verizon just announced they are also switching to unlimited data plan. Thoughts on how this will effect sprint?

I Googled around a bit and couldn't find anything other than being grandfathered, if you want to keep unlimited, no moar subsidized phones.
Soooo Link?

They are killing off the grandfathered plan.

Verizon is actually refusing to allow unlimited data, which is why I'm actually going to switch to sprint.

I want unlimited data

Im with at&t right now but I want unlimited data on a smartphone.what choices do I have

I believe all current data plans offered by Verizon are unlimited. At least unlimited as long as you don't abuse it.
Pretty much anybody that isn't At&t. Verizon, Sprint both offer unlimited data.
I'd avoid t-mobile, because of the merger with at&t.

Yep, ^all right.
Verizon killed the 15mb plan and now its just unlimited data plan only.

Unlimited Data plan is $29.99 and
I assume you mean Talk(Voice Plan)
450 minutes $39.99
900 minutes $59.99
If you add txt, it's $9.99/Month
So, lowest bill you can get is $70 w/o txt or $80 w/ txt.
Thanks for the help, looks like verizon is the best choice for me

Does Verizon throttle unlimited data plans?

I was wondering if Verizon throttles because the past 2 days my 4g has been lagging big time in Houston. Was just wondering if I was being throttled or if 4g is under going some sort of maintenance.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
I'm in the same boat. My 4G data has been choking a lot, with the up arrow hanging sometimes. But then, I have used only 2.5gigs so far 17 days into my billing cycle, so I'm not sure if thats the reason.
Haven't heard of anyone on LTE being throttled, not even the guys using upwards of 20gigs. It's probably maintenance.
I don't think verizon is throttling yet. But they will as more ppl get LTE capable phones & bandwidth is strained. And ppl with grandfathered unlimited plans will be throttled first :/

It sucks cause i've been bragging to my friend how fast Verizons lte is and he asks to see my phone and starts to laugh cause nothing would finish loading. Don't you hate when that happens?

I've been getting incredibly slow speeds on LTE in Knoxville. I'm talking about 2mb/s...

Everyone's is like that because that is how Sprint displays the Unlimited Mobile to Mobile, and Unlimited Nights & Weekends that are part of your plan. Instead of Showing Unlimited it shows 999,999.

It would be funny as hell if someone were to call sprint to complain about 999,999 not being unlimited.

Realize I'm topic happy today but one more quick question

I used the 4G hotspot loophole back in December to get unlimited data after starting my new service in November. Think it's safe to drop the hotspot feature yet and keep my unlimited data? It'd be nice to lose 30 bucks off my bill now.

And I think that's the point. No company has universally better coverage and service everywhere. Sprint is at this moment decidedly below average compared to the others but if you live and work where Sprint does well then you can't argue with the bang for your buck that Sprint offers. In my basement, for example, it's mostly underground. Only AT&T gets a signal there. A friend of mine in rural Ohio tried all four and only gets a strong signal from Verizon. And at my sister's house Sprint is far and away the best. Oh, and T-Mobile is very good where I work but then again, I'm a contractor for T-Mobile. Sadly not an employee, so I don't enjoy the fifty percent discount on plans and phones. Nonetheless Sprint does very well where I need it to be so currently I'm with Sprint.
Ya I'm grandfathered into the truly unlimited plan. I'll just leave this here
I get 14-70mbps here by UCF in Orlando, FL
I love my G3, and with Sprint Spark, I have no problems with data :good:
