Original Jellybean keyboard (Android 4+) port
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764775
I was just typing: "hmmmm seems really similar to the ICS keyboard"
But then I noticed the word prediction. Really awesome.
I hope the dev add the vol cursor control feature.
Cheers for the link.

Just in case people are missing ICS like keyboard,
tryout THUMB Keyboard https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beansoft.keyboardplus&hl=en (i think has a trial too)
Paid but a FANTASTIC split keyboard with very flexible customizable options &themes:good:
Split thing works very good in landscape mode(esp. when you don't have very long thumbs)
P.S.just in case, i am in no way affiliated to them.
It looks good. will try it.
thank you ,i love it :good:

I used both ICS and JB keyboards but none supports swype typing on HTC flyer the way stock keyboard does. Further, funnily none keyboard provides number key line on top of regular text keys hence ICS/JB keyboards were useless without these two features. Why cannot these developers create option to use 7 inch screen to fullest by adding one more line so that users dont need to keep shifting for typing numbers.

Hello all,
I just wanted to share with you, that my Original Samsung Keyboard Dock is not working with Cyanogenmod 9 from the Development Section here.
Does anybody have a solution for this?
Will it ever work with Cyanogenmod?
So far I am very very impressed with Speed and Stability of the latest CM9 Version by locerra.
Hopefully someone can chime in on the Keyboard Dock Situation...
Thanks again all for making such an incredible Community.
Cheers
qwertz
Doesn't work for me too
Did you ever find a solution for this OP?
I was loving CM10 since its first release, but just went back to the Samsung ICS stock rom last night as i wanted to use the dock keyboard
Thinking of selling it now nad just getting a bluetooth one

Same thing for me on SGT-P7510 on sammobile.com
Swiftkey app is a little compatible with external keyboards.
Something like this : go into the settings of the keyboard swiftkey app, validate the Terms od use choose English (US), define Swiftkey as the default input, and therefore in its parameters, go to Advanced > then choose External Keyboard Layout > English and it's good !
Or save the Samsung Keyboard .apk on ICS Stock ROM and bring the application on CM10. Maybe it could work
This is a known limitation of cyanogenmod.
have you read of any hacks / alternate soft keyboards that can get it to work?
The stock ICS rom is so limiting (and to me seems slow) compared to the JB rom (CM10)
i recall having to enable the dock option in the cm settings for my xoom, perhaps the same is true for the gtab?
in Paranoid rom working of keyboard doc should be fixed. I dont have one to test, unfortunately
here is link to changelog http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1838391
Works with the latest CM10 build too (the modified one recently uploaded):
Should work in the latest "official" rom too.

I just got back to Sense 3.6 from Agrabren's CM10. I wanted the AOSP keyboard so I looked up quite a few APKs. I couldn't find one in which long pressing the alphabets could make symbols. I don't have a screenshot to explain, but like long pressing s for example would produce a #. I don't wanna use the sense or any other keyboards. A link to signed 4.0 4.1 or 4.2 keyboard with this feature would be great. Or maybe if anyone could port the one in Agra's rom to Android 4.0. Thank you all
One of the most disappointing things about the JB upgrade is the fact that HTC changed his IME keyboard, adding useless arrow keys and removing the key to close the keyboard, forcing the user to use the back hardware button.
I've searched on the forums, and it seems that others had my same problem, but I'm worried that the fixing tecniques they used can't be ported on JB, or on the Desire X.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612558
Is there any way to revert to the old ICS IME keyboard, or at least some way to mod the current one?
Why do you post a thread for ICS HTC_IME mod for JellyBean ??

The mod that you refer to is meant for ICS keyboard only. It can't be ported to JB
On ICS keyboard for One X, there are arrows which can't be disabled thru settings, in JB you can disable arrows.

Ok, now we're getting somewhere...
I've seen the option that allows you to hide the arrows in portrait mode, what I need is something that removes the arrows in landscape mode.
Anyone?
Is there a way to do what I ask, maybe, I don't know, use the old keyboard APK on JB?
another keyboards (swiftkey ftw!) has optional arrows, can be disabled in them, but tweaked stock one will take time i think
Try the new keyboard from Android "L" It looks nice, don't know if there's any new features.
