RMA'ing my Tablet how should I backup? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

How should I backup my tablet data so I can restore it all and all of the apps when I get it back?
Also how should I wipe the device after?

As long as you have root, you should be able to use Titanium Backup and back all your apps

Question about nandroid backup

I get tired installing everything with titanium backup. If I use a nandroid backup can I go from ROM's such as comm romm 1.3, to Evil fascination without use of titanium backup?
Would I just go into recovery and go to advanced restore and restore just the data? Would this screw up the whole ROM or would I get my system settings and apps back?
Another quick question, and off topic:
I have update.zip on my sd card from flashing CWM many moons ago. I'm on version 3 of CWM, do I still need update.zip on my phone?
You can get rid of the update.zip if you're using CWM 3.x (or even most 2.5.x). If you aren't applying update.zip to get into CWM, then the update.zip is useless.
As for restoring data from an nandroid backup, you could possibly do that, but you'd have to restore only data, and even then you may run into problems. It's likely safest to use Titanium Backup, and only backup non-system apps/data. I just did a restore today via Titanium Backup, and it only took like 5 minutes, and I didn't see any hassle with it. Did you purchase Titanium Backup, or are you using the free version? Using the paid version may make restoring a little more painless for you.

Problem with restoring my date from TB

I've deleted all my system data (with CWN) by mistake but just before doing that I've made a TB backup of all my app and system data, and also I've a CWN backup from 2 days ago.
I've restore all my data from the CWN backup but it is missing the all of my data which been saved in the past 2 days since I've done that CWN's backup I'm now trying to restore my app's data from the TB backup (games saves and so) but TB want me to reintall all my apps which are all ready are install on my phone.
Which option in need to choose in order to restore only my app's data (as I've said, games's saves)
please need help with that.
P.S- if I can't restore that data I would like to delete TB, does the Nandroid Backup relay on the TB backup in anyway?
Now kies air doesn't work... after I push the start button the app shutdown.
someone?????

[Q] samsung galaxy s 2 restoring nandroid backup

Hi guys,
I am facing a very curious and seemingly common problem.I have litening rom installed on my gs2. Now i want to change the ROM but dont want to lose my data. Taking a nandroid backup I noticed that there is a special option in CWM called advanced restore.Using that you can restore parts of your nandroid backup instead of taking a full restore.
Now my question is that, once I have installed a new ROM can I take a restore of only the data part of my nandroid backup to my current ROM? The backup was taken when I had litening ROM installed. Will it return all my apps , app data and other things as they were with litening rom to my new ROM ?
You should have used Titanium Backup to restore apps and app data, restoring system data across different ROMS is not typically recommended but can be done, it is totally up to you. Nonetheless, your best bet to restore any or all of this is not a nandroid backup, that is best for restoring an entire ROM, to restore just apps or data or whatever, use Titanium Backup. So my advice would be, create another nandroid of your new ROM, restore back to your old ROM, download Titanium backup, backup apps and data using that. Restore back to new ROM, download titanium backup and choose option, restore missing apps and data.

[Q] lost titanium backup encryption passphrase

So I screwed up and lost the passphrase for TB encryption. I have a good working nandroid backup with all the apps+data that I would want to use for my next rom flash. The problem is when I go to TB and disable encryption on my good backup it doesnt allow me to restore the data when I flash a new rom. My question is is there a way to completely remove TB and all of it's app data so that I can start from scratch with TB in order to good unencrypted backups of my apps+data without completely formatting my sd card? Otherwise I'm stuck on my current rom setup.
Thanks!
Does anyone have an idea of what i can do?
i did the exact same think will update you if i find anything

Restore APPs

Hey community,
i want to backup my apps, but which is the best tool to backup it ?
A backup over TWRP i have with all my stuff. The Issue is that i have to delete my system bc it fail's the safety pass.
so i think i do it with titanium backup. Titanium Backup fails if i want to restore a few of apps (like spotify, where i don't know my password anymore).
so what you recommend to backup apps with the data ?
thanks
(i use stock rom)
