No Voice or Data service after install of CM9 - Galaxy S III Q&A, (US Carriers)

I was running Blazer Rom 1.4 and decided to check out CM9 latest nightly. I did a Nandroid, Wiped and then flashed. It seemed ok. Then I noticed I had no voice/data services at all. So I figured CM9 wasn't ready for primetime and flashed back to my nandroided backup of Blazer Rom. I still have no voice/data services. I really don't know what to do next. I have confirmed that Sprint is working in my area. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Is it finding sprint signal? You may have to call them and do a hand-free activation. I can't remember the dialpad # but what it does is reset the phone's profile data and reactivates it on your sprint number. You'll need your MSL, too.

Im seconding this and I am freaking out right now!!

You should try to ODIN back to stock.
This should also not be in DEV section, but in General. You will be blazed.
Also - I am using the CM9 and besides a FC on boot - it works great!

This happened to me before, I wasn't on CM9 but I ended up restoring the stock firmware and updated profile and PRL, then rebooted and it worked fine

Try going into the Mobile networks settings menu and just change the Network mode. Switch the setting and let it reboot, see if it helps.

I had an issue like this. If you get an error when you try to call someone let it play through and it should call sprint and they'll fix it for you. No questions asked.

Yea try using Odin and get back stock firmware, then update PRL/Profile and reboot

similar situation. phone info doesnt know MIN or number but it all works. I second the stock in ODIN, update profile/prl/activate and try flashing again

Not sure what to do next. I used ODIN to load the stock Samsung ROM (KIES_HOME_L710VPALEN_L710SPRALEN_618049_REV03_user_low_ship.tar) and I still no mobile services. Is the firmware a not included in the ROM. Is it a separate flash?

Try the below, it just reset and activated my device (again, lol). No MSL# required.

In my case I believe I inadvertently installed the LG2 OTA as I was getting ready to flash a new ROM. So when the new ROM loaded it was a different firmware. It was a freakin nightmare to get things back in order and yes, the ##72786# was a huge help. I had to flash all the way back to stock recovery just to set things straight. But now at least I know to make sure the basecode matches the ROM.

BUMP Please!!!!
Verizon caught you rooting and installing custom rom's on your phone and has disabled your service.
If problem persist just reboot, your phone is ok.

So try installing the radio again or maybe there is just Verizon issue in your area or go back to whatever you were on before Gingeritis and see if it works then or go back to froyo radio unless your phone is stuck you got tons of options to try

Hold the power button down like you're going to restart your phone. The bottom option toggles internet. Turn off for a few seconds then back on. Otherwise make sure you have the correct radio. You might need to re flash the Rom or radio.
I'm running the same setup with no problem.
Almost sounds like you have wrong radio for ROM, like froyo radio on GB rom or vice versa.
Guys i have done everything you said to do, no luck. I dont have my phone today cause i dont have service on it. Can someone please give me instructions on how to do this.
Ok so last night i decided to go to gingerbread, the first thing i did was i factory reset my phone cleared all the data and flashed the MR2 radio through Hboot. After it loaded up i switch to Gingeritius 1.0 and i everything was perfect!. 10 mins later i lose all my service and it doesnt even let me turn on my Mobile network. I have no idea what i did wrong but if someone could please help me it be awesome. thanks guys. btw im freaking out with no phone =(

Removing Transparent Pull Down

Is it possible for anyone to point me in the right direction for something like a mod or instructions on how I'd be able to remove the transparent pull down from das Bamf 1.8.6 and maybe replace it w/ the stock pull down?
As always any info is appreciated.

just find a theme or rom you like and switch out the corresponding png files in /system/app/SystemUI.apk. I can't remember the names of the ones you'd want to swap out but it shouldn't be that hard to figure out.
Actually 1.8.6 is froyo, so they be in framework-res/drawable-hdpi.

Yikes, I've never flashed Bamf but I suppose I should have checked the vers to prevent giving the wrong info. Been on GB since January so I'm always in that frame of reference. Anyway, thanks for catching that.
OP, if you want to do this easily on your phone check out NinjaMorph. Works fine for stuff like this when you learn how to use it.

WiFi not connected each morning:

Hello all.
I have searched this issue quite a bit, and I have some ideas, I just need a bit of direction.
So, I have a rooted Galaxy S2 running ICS version 4.0.3. I rooted it via Zedomax's youtube videos (I would link it, but youtube has closed his account FREE ZEDO!) Some mornings, when i wake up, I notice my WiFi is not connected and my phone is using 3G for its data. So, I go look in the WiFi list and it is on, but its not connected. I tap connect, nothing happens. It doesn't even try. I forget the network and re-enter the credentials, nothing. I reboot the phone, same thing. Finally, once i remove the battery a few times, it starts to work but not very well. I have a Netgear WNR2000V3 router. Just did a fresh upgrade/install of the latest firmware. All of my other wireless devices at home stay on and work fine. Now, i did notice that ever since i rooted when i first got my phone on version 2.3, i had WiFi issues. So my first thought is it could be my kernel? Like i said, this only happens at home. I also have the exact same router (WNR2000v3) for my staff WiFi at work and I have no trouble connecting each morning.
So, what are the steps i can take to fix this? Is this a known issues with the ATT SGS2? Am I missing something?
I would post a sreenshot of my phone info but since I'm a new user I won't be able to so here it is in text!

Angry [ROM] 08-26-2012 LIQUID-DESENSED36 *v1.1* JMOD Bluetooth Crash/bootloop

Didn't see anywhere in the thread if the bluetooth was or wasn't working. Just though I'd let you guys know that bluetooth crashes my Tbolt. I've tried it a few times, just turning it on crashes and when I try to view the bluetooth menu. And now I'm stuck in a bootloop. This is my first post and due to the sight rules I can't post on the actual thread, perhaps a mod can move this to it. Otherwise this has been great!
Try flashing the imoseyon kernal. This should fix your Bluetooth issues.

You're talking about this one, correct?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1086518
I see that it is a GB kernel and this is an ICS rom. I don't know if that makes a difference. Still pretty new at this, that's why I'm asking.
My apologies. No you cannot use this with ICS. Its early in the morning and thought I read the title to be about Jesters other ROM Jellyblur (GB ROM themed to look like ICS). There are no custom kernals yet for the Thunderbolts ICS until HTC drops the source. I will try to re-create this issue and I will get back with you unless someone gives a solution before me lol. Once again my apologies.
If you are in a bootloop you may have to re-wipe and re-install the ROM. It may have been a bad flash if BT was not working and caused a bootloop.
EDIT: although irrelevent for this ROM, the link you provided is an outdated custom kernal. The Dev has since then updated to 6.2.1

I love it when a plan comes together.
I also notice alot more 4g speed.
That bootloop sucks.
I wonder if this radio came out when the leak was initially released.
Would explain why on gingerbread we didn't see a big change but obviously the minor change in it was for ics.
Thanks,

Since the problem got solved...figured I'd jump in with a couple issues that I'm having with this rom.
1* I go into settings and to my apps. When I click an app and it brings up the space used and other info...everything says computing and doesn't show a value. I'm trying to move my apps to the SD and it does nothing since they wont compute. Anybody with this issue...a fix?
2* When I get a SMS, the LED keeps blinking after the message is closed or replied to. It stops after a few minutes, but its annoying. I have GoSMS.

1. Wait and let it total all the apps before entering to move them. It may take a minute if you have a lot of apps.
2. That's a bug with gosms. I never could figure out a fix other than disabling the led notification.

I finally got them moved, but it would take 1-4 minutes a piece to move. And when I try to uninstall an app, it just says uninstalling and hangs on that screen.

Hi,
Have you rebooted since installing the rom?
Usually a reboot and waiting 5 after boot corrects this problem.
Thanks,
Bryan
