Being that im htc dev unlocked can i go ahead and run lazypanda now or should I relock, ruu, root and s-off?
No way to do so natively, yet. The FeedPanda binary for Linux will only run under Linux. You could install a linux distro under VirtualBox, though, and do it that way.
In the website from the YouTube links there is a how to on s off. It's really the manual method from the dev stickies but using terminal
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Just use Virtualbox
If you go through the trouble of setting up virtual box you might as well burn the distro or set it up on a flash drive so that it runs natively and bot through emulation software

Guess u don't need to set up a partition on the hard drive anymore for that, but setting up linux thru virtualization is still easier. There is potential for more issues in OS virtualization, but I think they've probably cleared that up too since I was lectured on it. Geez, 2 years is forever in technology field...
Not really, burn it to cd and boot, virtualization need you to download the distro, mount it, make sure the settings for the virtual hd are right and then install it
First off, only because I like being proactive, check to make sure you are on HBoot 1.12. If you're on anything higher than that, you're not going to be able to S-OFF until a way is found.
zedomax has a good step by step with video on his site.

Its possible to do it with adb and the command line. Are you familar with using one?

Ok, so the extent of my knowledge, as it pertains to ADB and terminal, is limited. I can search my mac for files using terminal. Thats it..
I too would appreciate someone to break it down for a n00b such as myself. I don't have a copy of windows so if there is a way without bootcamp that would be awesome!
I've ported DG's aRoot script to a mac form, but I've never done anything like this before so at the moment I'm waiting him to respond to a PM asking permission to post it.
I thought I remembered him saying somewhere that he gave public permission to use the script, but I've been unable to find it. If anyone can find me this link, I'll post it, otherwise I will as soon as I get DG's blessing (assuming he gives it).
Would you be able to use VMware Fusion for something like this - with windows installed? I was about to try that until I read this thread. May have dodged a bullet there. I've been reading this forum for weeks, very informative. Learnin' a bunch.
Cheers.

This should help.
It's a Linux distribution.. like Ubuntu..
Does this mean we can then VNC into it after turning the server on?
How much has been tested on it?
Sounds cool. Read up ln it a little as I wondered at first what it was also. THEY say it's good but the main drawback is the short lifespan and support of each version. AS they pump out new versions like every 6 months or so n support for it is one of the shortest. SO it makes it hard for developers to use since its not long term.
Plus I never knew there was like a million flavors of Linux..lol. not even funny how many different flavors there was while reading up on Fedora.
Wait, can we actually use fedora on the prime this way through a script? How is functionality? We can simply shut it down again or something...?
More details would be nice Might give it a try later if I know/understand more about it hehe.

Does it require root? What fedora is included, can we just yum update stuff?
I am actually unable to get this to work at all. Nevermind loading the files on the prime was nothing but an issue. IS there a proper method for loading fedora. im getting:
chroot: can't execute 'bin/bash': Permission denied

No matter where the fedora.sh file is i get the above messages in prompt

Im trying to install fedoa on a rooted tf201. Downloaded tar.gz2, attempted to extract to 'data/local/fedora' but i could not extract it. Anyone have any luck with fedora on the prime?
Fedora 17 alpha image: http://fedora.roving-it.com/rootfs-f17-hfp-alpha1.tar.bz2
This is interesting, I nee to RMA mine for a few issues and hold off on unlock/root until I get a satisfactory prime but I'm excited.
One this though I too heard about the short lifespans, is this a bad thing? I only ask because projectors in theaters run fedora so I would assume they must be ultra stable with the shortened lifespan of each release, unless they update after every release. Just interesting to me.
I have a functinal rooted tf201 with root, busybox, xorg (as far as I know) through Linux Installer, VNC Viewer, Terminal Emulator and OTA Rootkeeper. I have a fair amount of root & bash experience, so I'd be delighted to help the OP with writing a walkthrough of the VNC server-client process in the specific case of Yum based distros and Fedora's rootfs structure.

I view it as a bonus. You will find that at any time there are at least 2 versions being supported and although I use Ubuntu/Debian I would think that that Fedora enables users to upgrade from the previous to current version with a mouse click or two and 200Mb of downloads - just as easy as Windows but with more control (and bugs get fixed in hours!).

You *may* need to install ADB here:

You will need to download most of the stuff and install it once you get it.
For anyone who doesn't get any devices found before or after the reboot into fastboot. Make sure you have the HTC drivers installed. Get HTC sync from their site then simply open and run the installer then close the HTC sync process. It tends to interfere with your connection and you want the drivers not the program.

EDIT---
Apparently this was not as easy to use as I intended. Here are some quick instructions to get you started.
1. Who is responsible for damage? You are. The answer to the question is "me"
2. You should now be on the menu. From here, if you are a noob/trying to unlock, do 1 and follow the whole process. It should explain it well, and i know it works i rooted a new device in around 5 minutes.
3. If you wan to flash another recovery, use the "util" option at the menu, select recovery and drop your recovery into the recoveries folder. From here you just type its name.
4. If you want to use a custom command that is launched from the root folder, use "cust" this makes it so you do not have to use "cd c:/Android". For ease of use.
5. If the process does not work, i know for sure there are other tutorials on xda and other sites. I am not a 100% pro at this.

Originally, when I was going to make a toolkit, I was going to make one like yours but I opted out and believed the GUI style is easier to use and understand. Never-the-less, there are more choices for people and I give you props! Great job!
if you start with one, it does a full guide, read the notes. It does the commands for you but you need to go to the website
Becuaswe of how its set up, you will need to use internet explorere with htcdev idk y but once you are there amde an account, select the rezound, SKIP THE FIRST 2 PAGES,MY PROGRAM DID THAT FOR YOU. And just follow the text selection on the 3rd page. From there you will get the email unlock_code fiel and put it in the folder.
Hope this works for you

it will run,

Make sure you extract files in a folder named DirtyRacun in a folder named Download
Launch terminal (click the ubuntu button, type "terminal" without quotes to find the program). Than type the following commands
cd Downloads
cd DirtyRacun
chmod 755 RabiesShot adb fastboot
After the last command, you should get the same prompt as before, i.e. /Downloads/DirtyRacun$. That is your signal that the command worked
Staying in the /Downloads/DirtyRacun directory in the terminal, type
sudo ./fastboot getvar mainver
It'll tell you the version of the software.
After that, follow the commands on unlimited.io
The key is to stay in the /Downloads/DirtyRacun directory in the terminal and just type the commands as said.
The only hiccup I had is during step 14 when, after typing
sudo ./RabiesShot
I had to manually reboot my phone to bootloader (fastboot)
