I have the Seidio Active with kickstand and holster. I really like the way it feels in the hand the protection that it offers. I am having one issue and I don't know if there is a solution to it. The soft inner case is one heck of a dust and pet hair magnet. Is there anything that can be put on it that can reduce to amount of dust it attracts?
I have the same case, minus kickstand.
The neverending complaint of silicon jackets is that they collect and hold on to lint, dust, grime, so on. I'm sure you could experiment and find something that could be sprayed on such as a spray on clear coat, but being flexible I don't think it would stay. The best advice I can offer, and it's not going to be of much help, is to just get used to it. I painted the snap on plastic piece when I was refinishing a couple firearms and had extra paint mixed up. Turned out better then I though and not the colored case drawls the eye and you don't notice the lint.

I am sure that there are a lot of people with a lot of different solutions. I found one that a friend mentioned and it seems to be working for me. I used some glass wax on the silicon and so far so good.

I've nver even heard of glass wax. Is it wax for glass? Seems kinda counter intuitive, maybe just called that because its clear?
I don't know if it is different from other wax but yes it is for glass. I have used it for a while now on touchscreens as well as my glasses. It reduces noticable smudges and fingerprints..
Like this?

I think it is a different brand but yes it is like that.

As I posted earlier before, I was going to diy my own case. Well, after 4 botched attempts, here it is finally.

Outside is some faux leathery stuff that feels damn good on the hand. I ripped it off some cheap notebook
Inside is red microsuede I got from Spotlight.
It's magnetically sealed right below the 4 front button.
No hole for the stylus because my first stylus dropped out due to rubbing against my pants. And besides, I prefer more protection for the corners anyway.
No hole for the main camera. Instead, the back is hinged right below the cam so that I can get a 180 degree flip back to reveal the cam without having to bend the material too much.
I got quite good at making neat stitches while doing this.
That looks really nice. I would have bet it was made by some professional factory
Did you insert some metal sheets into front and back, or is it just leather? I'm asking because I have leather case from Nutshell, but it seems too soft... so I ordered also (black painted) aluminium case from PDAir, just to be on the safe side...
Actually its two very rigid 1.5mm thick plastic sheets in front. One is inserted in the front flip cover to protect the screen. The other sheet is cut with a big hole in the middle for the screen and 4 buttons. It's needed to prevent the inner front cover from bending around the huge screen hole, because when the phone is inserted, its bulk stresses the material,.
I also put a thin pliable plastic sheet behind but its not actually needed.
Very good looking case, good job!
Hello,
I'm looking for something like this case

It has 2 parts ... one is kind of "cradle" and has clip and other is like a protective shell which you can "slip" into that cradle. I really like that design and the fact that you can "slip" your "shell" into "cradle" in 2 ways - screen facing outside (for better view) and screen facing inside (for more protection).
"Cradle" also has rotating belt-clip.
Unfortunately, when I ordered that case it had quality problem ... belt-clip is attached to "cradle" by PLASTIC connector, which breaks easily. So I'm in process of returning it.
But ... I REALLY like the design. Can somebody recommend me something like that but better quality ?
Hi bogdatov
I have the same case by Kroo. I like it alot...but do wish I could find something that works the same but more stylish like the cases on more-things.com. I'm going back and forth on rather I want to carry the phone on my belt or in pocket. Had mine for about 3 months now. No problem with belt clip but the leather on the corners of the snap-on case that rubs against the holster are fraying on all sides. Also inside "suede" covering in holster is peeling off. Use to have the ORBIT FLEX by Krussel. Pros and cons to each. Good luck!
How is slipping "shell" into "cradle" ? Mine seems to be pain to remove and insert - too tight
Slipping shell into the cradle with the screen facing in or protected works fine for me now. When I first got it, it took a while for it to "loosen up". I only have difficulty slipping the shell into the cradle if I try to slip it in with the screen facing out or unprotected. I also notice that the shell is not as "tactile" or "sticky" as it used to be. I find myself being more careful I don't drop it now-a-days.
I try to get case but couldnt decide yet.Can you guys post photo of your phone with case here please?
Thanks

I've just got the Roxfit Slimline Book Case from Amazon today, alas, no phone as yet! Its cheaper than the official Sony case, I paid £13.50, but is well made with a quality feel to it. Obviously I cant comment on fit or durability but Ive always had my phones in cases and this is one of the more premium feeling cases ive owned. Well worth the money based on its build quality.
Inside the front cover the material has a soft rubbery feel that grips onto the screen whilst closed to stop it moving around (roughly tested with my iphone 5 in the housing). The back of the case also folds away, similar to the official case so the phone can be placed in the charging dock. The outer material is similar to the apple iPad cover. The clear plastic shell that holds the phone has a thin foam layer in to absorb any shock and prevent any scratches on the rear glass panel.
I've still got a week wait for my phone before I can test it thoroughly.

I apologise for the size of the images and rotation!
So, after wanting to try a wrap for so long, and seeing how it doesn't exactly provide the ultimate protection that I wanted for my G3, I combined a few elements to come up with a setup that works perfectly for me and looks nice at the same time. First, I got the Tech Armor Ultraclear Ballistic Glass screen protector. It fits perfectly, I still get maximum input, and barely notice it's there.
Then, I got the Teak Wood wrap from Slickwraps. Finally, in order to protect the corners and sides, but still be able to appreciate the wrap, I got a bumper case from Nillkin. Love the combination and the bumper case is exactly what I was looking for, for a little added protection. The case is very snug, a perfect fit with all the right cutouts in place.

Looks pretty sweet and great idea with the wrap on back cover I like it and should protect against scratches, doesnt take away the nice design LG have done like a full cover would.
Another benefit would be more efficient wireless charging(if charging with case on and using stock LG wireless charger)since no bulky cover, looks to me like LG wireless charger would easily fit between that bumper, could be wrong though.
The Nillkin Bumper is working 100% with wireless charging (at least with the Nokia DT910)
So I decided to try out this new Incipio case called the Area. I went with the frosted version because it's a cool contrast for the black phone, although I like the case so much I might go and try out the black version of it as well!

So when I first got the case, it was a little beefier than I thought from the pictures on Amazon...but it's not a bad thing. The corners are reinforced so that it's definitely protective if it falls. I actually dropped it off my counter in the bathroom and it landed on the floor and protected it fine! (I never drop my phones, so I was lucky I had a beefier case on it this time!!)
The buttons are awesome! They aren't shaped like buttons, but rather, each button has a little raised mark of what it does. The sides of the case are completely flat, but once you're near a button, you feel the outline of it's shape. And on top of it, they're really easy to press, which is hard to find in a gel/tpu case like this.
The frost matte back feels cool, and all of the cutouts are shaped perfectly.
I've got the spigen screen protector on it that wraps around the curve of the device, and there's no issue with this case pulling it up on mine, so that's another plus.
All in all, this is an awesome case for the price.

This case isn't on Incipio website. I believe it's a bit of branding trickery. I ordered one anyways to check it out.
