I cannot download or update any apps for the last few days. It just gets stuck at 'downloading' without ever downloading anything.
I have tried the usual clearing play store data, signing out of talk and even factory reset but still not working.
Is there anything else I can try?

Is the issue appearing with mobile network connections, wifi or both?
Which Rom aad version are you on?

Hey guys, I hope you can help me... I have a really weird problem....
When I try to download an App through Google Play, it stays in "Downloading" but nothing happens, it just stays there "downloading" for ever. The % bar doesn't even appear. The thing is that this only happens when I'm using Mobile Data... when I use Wi-Fi it downloads without a problem.
- I've tried Cleaning cache and data from Google Play but it doesn't fix it.
- I've tried different Roms (full wipe), and I have the same problem.
- Everything works fine... Mail, Browser, Facebook, Twitter, etc, so I thing it's NOT a Mobile Data problem.
- I'm using Hydrogen's latest ICS
I'm desperate, so any help would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
You are using an ICS ROM? The use search function, if you are on gingerbread try to wipe cache and dalvik cache this solved it for me.

What do you mean by "use the search function"?
I tried searching apps in Google Play and everything works fine until it starts downloading, then I get the same problem
This happens sometimes to me too i just restart the download or restart the phone it usually fixes this

Since about Monday, when I try to update several applications in the Google Play Store, I receive the error message "Package file has a bad manifest" when it tries to install the update. I have never seen this message before. Can someone advise on how to fix this error?
Very much a +1 here
This appeared randomly a few days ago and applies to some installed apps and also to new apps such as San Andreas.
Very frustrating.. If anyone could help us it would be greatly appreciated.
I would suggest you to go to applications and uninstall Google play updates... Later Google play will auto install to the latest version

I'm having this problem too. Been researching it and other people experiencing it have bad internet connections, and I just tested my connection too and it's terrible so must be caused by corruption. Gonna try again on a better connection.

Google play store sometime starts showing on connection. And it also becomes alright after a day or two automatically.. I'm rooted. No host file issue, no wrong time issue. I can use Internet. Samsung Galaxy S3. Android 4.3 official firmware and rooted. It's really annoying, please help me find the solution..

I had such problems lots of times. I used many solutions and all of them worked.
1) Clear data and Cache of Play Store from Settings ====> Apps ====> Manage apps.
OR
2) Uninstall Play Store and install latest version again. (I installed it as system app)
OR
3) Reflash stock ROM with odin, then root and try again.
Most of the times 1st option worked. Use next 2 only if 1st does not work.
Press Thanks if helped.
First suggestion didn't work but second worked. Thanks mate. Cheers

My problem started yesterday, Play Store won't load anything just times out, maps won't load, can't even do a Google search, any other search engine such as Yahoo works. YouTube and Gmail work as well. It shows I am also connected with lte. I was on Omni ROM so I decided to Odin to stock. While on stock I checked to see if I could preform a google search and I could. Proceeded to load up an older version of Omni and it worked until I signed into my Google account. No matter if it is PAC ROM or Omni after I sign in, everything mentioned above stops working again.
Any suggestions?
Edit: Forgot to mention when I'm on WiFi everything works, even while signed into my Google account. Its only when connected to to Verizon network that the problem happens. I have already called Verizon and they said no problems in my area.

Hvae you tried rebooting.. Close the play store than reboot and let it load again..
Sometimes it takes a few mins for the "Agree to terms" pop up comes up

Store loads, but only on WiFi. I'm wondering if this could be a problem with the Sim card. Like I said when I go to the Play Store on my computer it shows my device as not having a carrier.

Hmm not sure.. I have never come across that issue before? And this only happens on Omni? Touchwiz or another AOSP Rom works fine?

So far all AOSP Roms. I have tried omni, PAC, and cm11. Ran out of time last night so I will try Touchwiz tonight.
Edit: Another update. Still haven't been able to test out Touchwiz roms, but I have found that when I try to do speed test using either speedtest.net app or a no plugin based test in a browser upload test just sits there and does nothing. Download speeds are fine though. And yet I'm on mobile data right now and can obviously I can send out request to servers to get data. And send out data to update my post here.

Finally was able to try Touch wiz roms. They seem to continue to work. Looks like I will be stuck on Touchwiz. I even tried to flash another aosp after running Touchwiz for a bit and problem came back.
Just a bit of an update. After a month of running Alliance rom 26 I decided to give aosp rom another go, hate touchwiz. Now I didn't do anything different than I used to, but I'm happily on Omni rom again and everything is working. Still don't really know what the deal was. At one point during this past month my desktop computer stopped working with Google services just like my phone did, but I was able to restore it by flushing the dns cache.
Installed this morning and im having fc's with chrome. And playstore when i open and try to search it repeatedly flashes keyboard and i cant type anything. Anyone else having these issues? ??

Cleared cache and data under playstore and it fixed my playstore issue ( someone posted to try that under chrome ) but didnt fix the chrome. Tried a couple older versions of chrome and still same issue. I guess i can TRY to get used to another browser but its been the only one ive used for awhile now.

I would wipe and flash the rom again. I had that problem and it turned out to be kernel had not installed properly. I wiped twice and flashed again and the problem was gone. If that doesn't work download if again you may not have a complete download. You get more info click the link below.
I just installed cerj theme over top and chrome is actually working now. Ill check playstore in a sec but im a happy person now.
