Using RM-801 firmware on an 819 should have no effect on the performance. I used RM-801 firmware on my 819 for several weeks. The differences between the two are in the hardware, not software.

Interesting. So this is what is coming up after the crooked 12070 firmware. If it is around on some server, I suppose it will be a matter of days 'til people start seeing it being distributed. And then we'll get more infos
Hope it fixes the volume bug and includes the hotspot.
Hm, are you sure this is a Lumia 800 firmware? Looks more like an Lumia 900 firmeware. But I might be wrong!

You are right, the RM-808 is the Lumia 900. The newest Firmware for the 800 is the 1750.800.8773.12120 for the chinese variant.

Good to know there is a more recent firmware than 12070 already. At least some hope to get rid of the volume bug in the near future!

+1. Been long enough.
It seems that Vodafone is currently rolling out a new update for the Lumia 800 going by 12072. Still no hotspot, mainly a bug fix. Gee...

Good news for Telcel users ! You may update your phone to 8773.12270 and keep those Telcel customizations.

[Q] 7.8 on RM-819 (Cyan Telus Model)

Hey guys, just wondering if I'm SOL.
I was going to wait for the official update, but I noticed last night that I have over 8GB used by "Other" and thought it might be a good time to factory reset my phone. If I'm going to do that, I might as well install 7.8 right?
So I started looking into installing 7.8 and noticed that there are no Telus/Canada versions of 1750.823.8858.12460 in Navifirm. Is there another version I can use without bricking my phone?

You should be able to use any version on your phone including RM-801 variants. I have the Telus model and I have experimented in the past with other firmwares. Keep in mind that if your phone has been unlocked it will re-lock after flashing a new firmware, so make sure you have the code.
Are the radios effected in doing this though?

RM-801 are 900mhz and RM-819 are 850mhz. This is based upon the hardware not software, so if your phone is RM-819 and you put 801 firmware on it it will still be 850mhz.
I have a Nokia Lumia 800 Black Telus, I have been using it unlocked in the states. Anyway, I flashed the RM 801 APAC black version and it kept my phone unlocked. I have been using it for a couple weeks no problem.

Thanks for the help .

Hi, yes I want to flash that ROM because I'm trying to enable AWS band on my 920 (RM-821). I've been reading a lot about this, and not many people have tried this process, but i read that flashing a specific rom that uses the 1700-2100 band (RM-820) you can then enable AWS on an RM-821. the problem most people had is that they dont know wich ROM have LTE AWS enabled. I found an article on a Perubian online newspaper where the goverment said that the lumia models being sell there were compatible with the AWS LTE band. So i want to try it.
thx for the answer, any idea of when will it work again?

You *may* get a FFU signature error, that prevent you to flash this RM-820 ROM on your RM-821 Lumia device. If you will not get a FFU signature error and that the flash of this RM-820 ROM on your RM-821 Lumia device works, it *may* that your RM-821 Lumia device loses some networks bands.
If you want to flash RM-820 ROM on your RM-821 Lumia device, with my tutorial, here is the FFU file of 059R984 in the currently the latest release: http://nds2.fds-fire.nokia.com/fds_..._RETAIL_lta_peru_299_04_383225_prd_signed.ffu

Unless T-Mobile lit up a 1900 tower just in the few minutes that the phone was rebooting after flashing GLOBAL BLACK SWAP, I am certain that I can now use 3G on AWS with it. For those who are interested, here is what I did to my AT&T Lumia 920:
start off with a Portico AT&T ROM (OTA-updated a few weeks ago on the still locked phone)
remove SIM unlock with AT&T provided unlock code
flash pre-Portico Rogers ROM
OTA-update to Portico Rogers ROM
flash Portico EURO1 DEV ROM (RM-821!)
flash Portico Rogers ROM
flash Portico LTA1 MX ROM
flash Portico GLOBAL BLACK SWAP ROM (RM-821!) ---> saw H, H+ indicator after this!!!
flash Portico Rogers ROM ---> 4G indicator
While flashing the LTA1 MX ROM (the Latin America ROMs are nicely debranded RM-820 ROMs but don't support LTE, at least in their cellular settings for highest connection speed), I decided for whatever reason to just give another RM-821 ROM a try and went for the GLOBAL BLACK SWAP. Maybe flashing EURO1 DEV again would have also done the trick as well and just flashing back and forth somehow enabled AWS. I don't know exactly what caused it but I am happy AWS works on the AT&T Lumia 920. This phone now certainly is the Überphone
and here the one with the product codes
Flash to Pre-Portico Rogers ROM: RM820_059Q6W4_1232.2109.1242.1002_039
OTA Update to Rogers ROM (1308)
Flash to European Developer ROM: RM821_059R4H6_1232.5957.1308.0002_027
Flash to Rogers ROM: RM820_059Q6W4_1232.5962.1314.0000_156
Flash to Global Black Swap ROM: RM821_059Q5C6_1232.5951.1249.1004_044 (No H/H+ as claimed by others, LTE disappeared from network options)
Flash to Rogers ROM: RM820_059Q6W4_1232.5962.1314.0000_156

Just I have same - updated yesterday.
Don't like new Windows 10 on my Lumia 920.
Now trying already half of the day to downgrade to Windows 8/8.1
Have experience with Android - it was easy.
With my AT&T Lumia 920 it's a pain in the neck.
