That's the idea... although I think the wifi driver source may still be an issue... but I think I read that sportstar found some files that might relate to the wifi so hopefully he's on to something for u guys...

I'm never going back to amaze. Gave it to my nephew... but I like a lot of the members here so I lurk and chime in here and there. I'm still here... my one s is running cm9 as my daily driver and we just got a jellybean port from nexus 7 so I'll be OK there

Ahh no kidding, yeah that would drive me friggen crazy. Well its definately worth the wait man. Ive always been an HTC guy, and coming from an EVO 3D, I can say im totally impressed. Def the best ive had yet.

There are times I think they think it's a game with us.. I follow htc and several devs on twitter and occasionally when the devs tweet about wanting source I have noticed semi sarcastic responses from htcs twitter account.. Which is funny to me, but i think it's a bit rude as well..

Actually yes.. Said something to joelz about it and some d3rps are on board, it mostly depends on if someone cracks the m14 or whatever it is in the sense 3.5 fusion.. Currently there is no way to edit it.. And that's where most theme elements lie..
Things are good though. Busy. Haven't themed anything in like 2 weeks, mod life picking up without root being gained and more users getting restless..
How are things in the northeast?

Well if he can convince fraux to lock himself in a closet till he builds it we might get a semi-working build in about a month. Building that is really hard. At&t galaxy s2 still dont have ics because of it and they have some beast teams working on it from month/s so dont get your hopes up. I think that our best bet is when htc release 3.6 for us the kernel is compatable. Im not saying that fraux is bad at building kernels im saying that its really hard. Plus we dont even have wifi drivers so pray to whatever you pray to/make blood sacrifices/rub someones belly etc for HTC TO LEAK THAT ICS RUU

True..but the ROM has never booted yet. He made some changes to the build.prop thus far but has no way to test anything until it actually boots. That was posted a couple of days ago, so hopefully progress is being made!
I give this a few weeks until it actually boots I'm amped!!!

I wasn't trolling i was waiting to see how long it was going to take to make it to XDA, i just thought that it would be a little bit faster. I was saying this was on Android-Dev site for a while now not trolling on other devices as it still is the amaze. So don't get an attitude with me, i just thought it would make it on XDA a lot faster like everything else does. I have seen you cuss people out on 4-5 General post here trying to bring back up topics that are hidden the bowels of XDA forums that might be important in the coming weeks.

Lol, well, i see things here in the amaze forums haven't changed much at all haha. well i just got some very unfortunate news that ruined my day. the place that was holding my phone "supposedly" sent me a letter (which i never got) saying i had 30 days to come get it or it would be "destroyed".. seeing as i was gone for over 60 days, well, you do the math. gues imm not back after all

Thanks man, i wish i could but like i said, i'm unfortunately out of work right now so can't really buy a new phone. plus, i would have a really hard time leaving htc, i love em too much, and havre never been much of a fan of samsung.
I was lucky enough today though that i found my old Amaze, it has a shattered screen, but still works perfect... for now..

yea and samsung phones make you feel stupid when you go from an htc phone to a samsung especially when dealing with kernels (at least in my experience)

lol i do feel quite n00bish over there. me and gg stay on google talk trying to help each other figure stuff out. samsung phones are def different. im enjoying learning something new though, so i cant complain

I'd be so annoyed just by looking at the screen itself...
i just found out that there is missing code or the code is not rite in the source they just released.. maybe thats why no one has released any kernels for your phone... has something to do with screwing wifi up.. i swear they did this sh*t on purpose

One of the source codes for the 3d's kernels wouldn't even compile...... Damn htc
For real? That's messed up. I heard there's two kernels out though, in the early stages. Maybe they just plugged the hole somehow?

yea i have both kernels.. they are just alpha kernel.. no one can go any further till the rest of the source is released... i bet u we wont see a 100% working custom kernel for our phone for a while... stright bs.. i think im done with htc after this.. once my upgrade comes up.. i mite jump ship to good ol sammy.. some of there phones come with an unlocled bootloader!! and they get kernel source with the quickness..
Not the first time they've done this, but it's never stopped us before.
I'm guessing one of the wireless blobs isn't playing nicely...but then again it really didn't on a stock phone did it? Seems like that was one of the things the update was supposed to fix, so maybe that's where the fix really is...that is in unreleased source code.

Also if your going to make a claim about them leaving out code and stuff, then post some stuff backing up when you herd, and where you herd/saw it....

If you compile the kernel from source, prima_wlan.ko works, but when you start making edits it errors out.. im still trying to figure out how to modify without breaking the symbols.. normally this type of module gets compiled along with the kernel...
Did HTC just release the 1.22 kernel? Go figure I am out of town all weekend. Not that I have much time to fiddle with it.

Well then, if you don't mind us asking, where did you hear this? I know this was the case with the 3D, but I follow a few kernel developers and I have yet to see/hear anyone say anything like this.

So we met again det, how have you been, this phone is giving me a headache lol... If people are on the new ota rom, the kernel doesn't like to stick.... If you mess too much with the kernel, the symbols change, Wi-Fi craps out because if the proprietary Qualcomm prima_wlan...

I was not trying to "burn you at the steak[sic]". I was simply asking where you heard it from to determine it's credibility. I apologize if you felt that you were considered untrustworthy, it's just that a claim like this would usually require further proof as well as specifics. I know that if I was looking into kernel development (hint: I am) I would love to know what bits I'll run into trouble with.
