Since yesterday I have not been able to see the Facebook pictures from my contacts when I open text messages from them yet their are all there in the People App. If I open my messages in the default application I can only see my Facebook photo and everything else is blank, the same happens in Handcent although that never shows my photo anyway (by design).
Can anyone think of what could have caused this?
Cheers.
Just to say that this issue is now resolved although the cause is still unknown. To fix it all I did was to unlink and re-link the facebook associations in the People app.
Have a issue with Gmail...
Phone is a Motorola Photon Q LTE, stock Jelly Bean ROM.
I have a single Gmail account on the phone, and use the stock Gmail app to send/receive.
If someone sends me an email with multiple pictures attached with different file names, everything is fine. However, if I receive an email with multiple pictures attached that all have the same file name, for example "image.jpg", within the Gmail app even though it shows all the attachments present, with unique file sizes, it displays all pictures as the first picture. Also tried saving the pictures, which save as "image.jpg", then "image_1.jpg", "image_2.jpg", etc but then when viewing within the gallery they're all the same image.
This isn't a Gmail issue because if I check the message via web based Gmail, either on a computer, or through the web browser on the phone, I can view/save the pictures without issue. So it's definitely some bug in the Gmail app itself in how it handles unique files with the same name.
Not sure that it matters, but it always seems like it's someone from an iOS device, iPhone/iPad, that I receive these messages from where all the attached pics get named the same thing.
Anyone else experience this or know of a fix/work around?
Hello, I shot some video today on my HTC one and wanted to email it to a friend. The size is UNDER 25mb (around 24.5) and it's just sits in my outbox trying to send. Not to mention if I remove it from the outbox I have actually uninstall gmail (the updates anyways) and re-install them in order for mail to sync properly again. If I don't it acts as if it's still trying to send it out when I try to sync even though it's been removed from the outbox. Tried force closing, rebooting, clearing the cache..only thing that worked was a re-install. Anyone else have trouble sending larger attachments through the gmail app? Also I am on WiFi so speed shouldn't be an issue.
As far as I understand any email provided caps the files at 10 MB anything larger won't send.

Hello,
I know this is not necessarily a S9+ question, but that's what I'm currently on. I've tried to find a solution about this on google and I am confused about the threads I've found. Some say google now has high res pictures for contacts now ( some thread from 2012 ), some say it has never been fixed, some say they found a workaround. I am just not able to get a nice looking photo after the contacts sync. I go into contacts, I set an image for someone and next time I enter in contacts on that same person, the image is blurry as hell. I've also tried to set an image through the google contacts web app and I had the same result. Does anyone know how to solve this? I would like to see a nice picture that I set when someone calls me and not an 8-bit image that reminds me of the good old days of playing Mario and Space Invaders.
