Hi all,
I installed Ultimate Backup and when i open it, it says i don't have root access but titanium says i do and works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why?
Maybe try updating superuser binaries? I've never heard of ultimate backup... I use titanium and nandroids... that's it

Strap some kryptonite to your phones chest, see if that convinces 'em to give up the super user permissions.
My Backup Root. That's all I use. But, are you sure you have busy box installed?

My phone has everything and all up to date. I have no issues with any other apps that require root perm. The only reason i need it to work is coz it contains app backups from my previous phone which i paid for. I'm sure i could install them 1 by 1 but i think a batch install works a lot faster plus as i update my apps it automatically backs them up which is what Titanium does but i prefer this one.

Ok. I'll keep trying again & again & maybe it'll eventually work
What imxsteezin means is open the SuperUser app and give it permissions manually then maybe it'll work.

Hello guys! I've been formatting my phone more frequently as of lately as I've been trying roms, and I'd like to know is there a way to backup the icon order or folders or anything like that? It's kind of a pain putting all my icons back in order and such every time! I'm not rooted. Is there a way? Thanks
Some launchers have the ability to save the layout, launcher pro and adw come to mind, doubt the stock one can.

Yes I did read your first post! Indeed you said you are not rooted, But,.... you didn't asked for any way without root did you? You just asked and I provided an answer, one you would of found of you had actually searched?
Just got to be a little clearer to exactly what you need, so Users wishing to help don't waste their time
Cheers

You have to root if you wanna use Titanium Backup
I think other app or other solution you still need to root cause you have to mass with system app(touchwiz) so you need root.

Ok, before I get flamed, I know there's a batch option in TB to restore all apps you have a backup of in one shot. However, I have backups of a bunch of apps I don't necessarily want installed right now, but I don't want deleted completely either. I'm running Newt's OneXXX RLS 1, and he just updated it to 2.1. I just got all my apps that I want installed on this, and don't feel like doing them one-by-one again if I update. My question is this: Is there a way to make a zip or something of just the apps I currently have installed on this ROM, and then to run it on the install of 2.1 so that only those apps will be installed? BTW, yes, I'm using Pro.
I just deselect the ones I don't want installed in batch.

I've been trying to figure out something like this too. Thought there might be a way to use labels to create a set of specific apps, haven't had time to mess around with it.

Don't really wan't to as it will "void my warranty". I know there are many ways to keep your warranty in tact, but I still don't really feel like it. Just wanted to know if there is an option besides rooting.
Rooting is giving u freedom..personally for me...titanium requires u to root. If u wish to unroot, u can unroot then reset the counter... well don't stuck urself, let urself free bro....hehehe

Hi all! I change rom a lot of times in a month and every time I have to restore applications using Astro file manager or other similar apps, clicking "next, next, install" for every app is very boring, especially when you do it a lot of times. I'm looking for something whereby restore all my applications and data every time by one-click (or a.zip) but I don't want to pay 5$ for titanium backup, neither to crack it. Can you suggest me something?

Nandroid backups. You can choose to only restore the /data partition if you want.
